If I remember from the original text, there was no mention of depression - just his being a couch potato. Also, he took the gun out of the gun safe and took it with him. But that was in the original story, not this “appropriated” piece.

Her messing with his head throughout marriage probably caused him to be so ready for the divorce! He could check his phone logs to see when she called him that night while it wouldnt prove things it'd lend credence!
Actually, he could’ve had the police check the records with the phone company to see which cell towers she hit when she made the call. The closest tower to the house would most likely be the one she hit and that would lend a little bit more credence. Of course, I’m not sure when the story was originally published on Literotica, so that knowledge may not have been public yet.

This is taken from Skippy47’s “What the Hell is Going On?” Published on Literotica. Believe it or not, I’ve actually known young women who’ve pulled crap like this. They came to me for pastoral counseling after the fact. Of course, they were in their late teens - early 20s. I would expect a more mature woman would not have these illogical thoughts, though there’s no accounting for “female logic.” Especially when there’s a danger she could be hit with the “Martian Slut Ray.” 😂
It would have been more interesting if the husband returned home from his prank just in time to hear a gunshot as he walked in the front door. Then another gunshot about 5 minutes later. With an ending message that pranking a serious situation might not be a wise idea.
This was a weird story with both parents acting psychotic. But I have to put the blame on Harvey's "Archie Bunker" attitude, reverse prank, and possibly fake divorce actions. He refused to accept truth about her prank causing Betsy to be unhinged. Nothing good will come of this couple.
@@FultonHolmes but Betsys’s choice of how to shake him out of his lethargy was the wrong way to go about it. You don’t pretend to have an affair to shake your husband or wife up. You sit down and talk to them and explain your concerns and that things need to be done to put the spark back into the marriage. whether or not that would’ve worked in this case, we don’t know because Betsy chose to “pretend to cheat”.
