- This is a video of my latest trip out this time to Elliot beach once again. Not a lot of fish this time but fish were caught by a group who were over from Lochgilphead having a competition. The wind was a bit of a problem but not as much as the weed. Later that day i went up to Gourdon harbour in the hope of a cod but that was not to be. Baits were coming back eaten by crabs. So a few fish on here caught by me and the others. Hope you enjoy this video.

Good video Michael elliot beach looks like it will be a good beach to fish for cod down to low tide in similar conditions at night

Thank you Scott, yeh it was a bit of hard work with that weed also the fact that lines were dragged along the beach with the tide didn't help. Got home no problem a bit tired wasn't long before i was in the land of nod lol. Tight lines.

Another great video Michael . Nice looking area as well . I've not been to Arbroath for years . My wife's Grandpa lived there and we used to visit often . Never fished there before though . Tight lines pal .
Thank you Derek, Arbroath is a lovely place with long beaches and there is also the cliffs so you have basically 2 different types of fishing ground within a couple of miles. Oh and they have good chip shops too lol.
great video Michael,try casting 30 yards left or right of your rod stand ,gives time for your grip leads to embed in the ground

Glad you enjoy them. It can be fighting against wind etc, also on days like this when you're hoping to catch other anglers catching fish and watching your own gear at the same time. The hardest part is when you think you may have a fish on and you're standing there trying to keep line tight on fish and trying to turn on cam, i have lost a few fish doing this. I don't have cam running all the time i am fishing.
Love the videos. I'm heading up there friday for a days fishing hopefully get a few. Tight lines chap

Michael, have you ever told us what video camera you use?
I think i may have mentioned it. It's a Panasonic HDC-SD60 full hd. I get them of ebay they are good cams , when they came out a few years ago they were the best going and cost in the region of £300+ I normally pay around £100 for them now you can get some well cared for ones out there. the one i have now just purchased was in new condition with all the cables etc and in box.
Out of interest Michael . What suit are you wearing and is it warm enough ?
The suit is a Mullion suit i got from a company on ebay a couple of years ago, it is warm sometimes a bit to warm. I always wear one piece but if it warms up sometimes wish i had 2 piece so i can take of jacket.
