I recently tried breeding my crested geckos. Both are very healthy. My female (3yo) is 48grams and my male (4yo) is 40grams. When I introduced the male into her enclosure he was immediately interested in her. Biting her crest and neck, chirping etc. He wasn’t too overly aggressive. My female on the other hand was acting terrified. She constantly ran away from him and hid. She did not fight back or even try biting the male. I immediately separated them and have not tried breeding them again. I know the breeding season is now ending so I probably won’t try again until spring. Is there possibly something I’m doing wrong that stressed her out or was she just not ready to breed at the moment? She has never been bred before. My male is a proven breeder so he of course is ready lol. I should probably add that she is in a 20 gallon long conversion. The enclosure is chuck full of foliage and corkbark. She is a very sweet/calm gecko. I feel bad that I stressed her out so bad😅
Hey! I know that this comment is 8 months old now. But how's it going the with the breeding? Have you tried it again? I'm planning on doing a breeding project when my cresite is older. (Currently a baby! About 2-3 grams so pretty small lol)
@@aidanfordsword6954 I know your comment is 3 months old but how’s it going with your crested geckos I’m planning on getting a trio of females into a 40 gallon repti breeze
Hey, so I’m looking onto breeding crested geckos. I’m going to get 3 females, and I already own 2 males. When I’m breeding them do I put one make into the 3 females enclosure? Or should I just pair them up one at a time?
thanks for the info! I have one more question. When you breed your crested geckos, does that mean the next 6-7 batches of eggs she does after that will be fertile?
thank you so much for this, I have a female flame/ harlequin who I want to breed next year. I also have a male brindle "pin-dashed" with portholes and a male lily white who I also plan to have breed next year. this video is really helpful!
Just discovered your channel. I am very glad about it. Got my baby Gecko couple days ago.. He hatched couple months ago. They sold me the Gecko as a male but im not quit sure.. The baby is like half of my finger..So tiny. There are no balls to see on my cresty Simba. 🧐
Okay. This is probably the stupidest question... I know they lay 2 eggs at a time and can have up to like 8 clutches... but does a single pairing provide for all 8 clutches or do you have to pair them for each individual clutch?
Hello, my female is about 3+ yrs old, un-paired & has never laid an egg, she is completely healthy, eats like a pig, should I be concerned? is she re- absorbing? .. my Gargoyle same profile, has laid 6 to 8 dudes in the last yr.
I would say a 20-25 gram gecko would do fine in it. At that weight they are well started and accustomed to looking for their food. And they should adjust to the new tank as long as it is set up right.
Hi I have a female harlequin who has mbd from when I got her I think I have helped her get back her calsium levels and also would it be safe to breed her and how do I check calsium sacks?
Part 3 out now!!

You can pair up as a group. Personally ive always just done it 1 on 1.

How often would you give the breeding pangea formula is it everyday or every week orrr?
For breeders I give it 3 out 4 feedings a week.
@@Dakotahblueexotics thank you! I'm hoping to breed my cresties and have done a lot of research. Just worried about getting the calcium levels right!
Do you have an Instagram!!!
I’m picking up a pair of super Dalmatian geckos from my friend, who no longer wants to breed, so I’m hopefully gonna start breeding them next year
As a small time crestie breeder I come back to watch these at least once a month haha, thank you so much

Females can retain sperm for most of the year. I usually do another repairing at around the half way point of the season
@@Dakotahblueexotics I suspected as much, but no one ever really specifies that. Thank you!
ty for making this video

Crested geckos follow Mendelian genetics, they’re not random patterns, we just don’t know a whole lot ab them
Yes I believe alot of people dont understand what polymorphism is and just think it doesnt matter what you pair you'll get random off springs
wait.. so if my baby crestie has two white spots either side of his tail, does it mean he’s a male?
oh, i didnt’t really listen! thank you.
I have 2 crested gecko named pumpkin and nugget there tiger crested geckos one of them have a couple spots maybe mixed?
I have a pvn male and pvn female I paired and none of them showed any interest :P
How do I get my crested gecko open it’s mouth?
the enclosure to the top left of your head is so cool. whats in it?
Is there any way to prevent tail drop early
💖I love your videos 😍 sorry I missed your last one
Thank you!
My question is is it ok to breed at any age after 2 years old?
Cookie is fattt but cute cresty
The same geckos and the same color
I'm not seeing a link to the second video.
damn spot chill 😂👀
Nice video cool pet Reptiles 🦎
Lmao @ "look at that bulge"
What does gravid mean?
Gravid with eggs, so reptile talk for pregnant.
Do you need a egg incubator?
you can putt them in a plastic tub with substrate in the little sections id watch other videos about it but that’s from the research I’ve dine
What do your knuckle tats say!? Rest Easy Past Life!?
Exactly that.
Dbcb Exotics man i wanna get my knuckles tattooed but im still thinking on what should i get
how many grams do baby crested gecko need to be to put them in a 15 to 20 gal tank

It's a $600 camera 😂 make sure youre in 1080p.
Thats strange I was in 1080p it was just kind of blurry when you moved. 😛
