Tony, can't you close the door partially to keep most of the rain out? There is usually a two-way zipper on Hilleberg tents to help with that.
Yes you could but why would you? Much better maximum ventilation as you can see the inner was effectively what 95% dry? So if the rain is landing on grass (see no footprint helps) its not on anything that matters. No rain got to me. Yes if the rain was getting to me that's different then use zips to block and allow open bit where possible. But in this case other than daft dog we were dry and she just needed to move to far side where I put her bed .... I think people panic and close doors when not always needed. Sometimes Yes. And ditch those footprints 😉 I'd rather openness where possible

That's what sleeping bag and clothing is for 😉 better cool dry environment 😉 than warm and soggy 😆 ventilation rules and nice cosy sleeping bag and warm jacket 😀

A four man tent does seem a bit excessive, but I'm guessing you're counting the dogs as well. May I remind you that one is sleeping in the vestibule and the other one is small enough to fit in your pocket 😅 But it is a very nice tent! 👍
Very excessive but I want to hopefully one day go go Sweden or Norway with it and either share or solo it'll make a good expedition tent in snow. Absolutely and amazing the dog in porch was in porch 😆 the other would fit in the Hilleberg pocket 😀
@@TonyHobbs Sweden is an excellent choice for a Winter camp! But it'll have to be on either 🎿 or snow🥾 because unlike Scotland we do have snow in the northern parts during Winter. And it's cold too so bring your long johns 😁
I've got snow shoes and getting skis with skins and wax I'll need to do a video on my snow kit one day :) I'll definitely bring my willy warmers 😆 🤣

Hi Tony that sleeping bag looks cosy, can I ask what you have there? I’m in the market for a winter one myself. Was looking to get a western mountaineering Kodiak or Badger, but they a bit hard to get hold of at the moment

It's a PHD down quilt but all their sleeping bags are excellent just make sure you get warm enough
I tend to wear a jacket in bed when chilly as half my body is outside sleeping bag when doing things 😆
