Hi Tony, about the washing your sleeping bag. I wash mine using Nikwax downwash, followed the instructions carefully and ended up with great results. Here's the top tip, to dry the bag you will need to use a tumble dryer on a low heat, think low and slow. After washing, the down clumps horribly but it's fine after drying it all bounces back. I use wool felted balls in the dryer to aid the declumping process. Tennis balls I think are to hard on the delicate fabrics. I seem to walk and camp in the same areas on the Moor as yourself maybe one day we will meet.

Hi, Tony. I never go backpacking without my Gehwol Extra. I have a little bottle of it that just says "foot love" on it. I find it keeps my callouses supple so they don't crack which in turn stops me getting blisters in those areas because I'm keeping my callouses. Leather feed for the feet. Sorry. Longer the better I say lol great comment. It certainly helps keep hard skin at bay. What if anything is difference between the Extra and none extra 🤔 I got none extra but just ordered extra 😆 itll get used
To be honest I haven't a clue. I suppose I went for the name like a blind consumer. It's Extra, right so it's got to be better. Works for me anyway. You should check out Creepers socks too. Merino toe socks. Very comfortable. Shed a bit at first but they settle down. Takes a while for delivery but it's a relatively small company. NZ based but ship to UK from the States.
