Some tips on how to find legacy trains using a couple websites. Note: I do not guarantee these websites will work 100% of the time (especially if there are any changes), nor if the websites display accurate information. Legacy trains are no longer in scheduled service (and serve as revenue ready/spare trains), and show up in service from time to time.

I actually found one by chance earlier today on the Green line... It was crazy that all of the B cars were ad wrapped with the Zoho wrap!
Zoho ads are still being paid for. Have to keep them around for a bit
@@ATPTransit yup!
as a designer, urban planning & public transit geek, and san franciscan, i absolutely love this channel. keep doing what you're doing!
I manage to catch Legacy set on a few weeks ago thanks to this video.
Such great timing! On my way home today i saw a legacy train with 2 ZOHO's.
thanks for the tips!
I actually managed to run into two legacy trains back to back at Embarcadero station last week, out of pure coincidence. So that was fun
I actualy have the bart app and it tells me the new trains and the old trains it has the tracker when you search for a station and favorite it or the closest station shows as well!
I found a legacy bart just a month ago towards Beryessa once. It just happens around 12pm. Wow, I had never seen or rode a bart legacy fleet in a while.
thank you! i am so happy you made this video.
this is by far the best and most concise video i've watched in years. tips actually work, topic is something i've completely fallen in love with as an enthusiast, and the video short but informative. i wish i could thank you more.
do you have an guess-estimated amount of time before you think that BART will have fully transferred to the FoTF trains, ex, 2 years?
I'm leaning on sometime next year
@@ATPTransitdo you expect for a formal ceremony/saved legacy train prior to the very last ones going out of service?
@@itz_catz_1714 Yes. Sometime next year there will be a final special run. Details are still being drafted at the moment
Update the B2 Cars page because 1631 was scrapped so you should label 1631 as "Scrapped".
Do you know if only in the green or orange lines have the legacy trains still in operation? I am curious for the yellow or red lines if there is a chance a Legacy fleet might appear in operation.
I ran into the 6-Car Red Line Legacy Fleet train again during December 4 2023 as there might be a small chance that the Legacy Fleet train will sneak into the Red Line.
Good thing I got the Bart App that tells me if it’s a Legacy Fleet or a Fleet of the Future train.
Edit: I ran into the 6-Car Red Line Legacy Fleet train in November 25 2023.
Its not accurate anymore my aunt and I were at Daly City station on Monday and the Bart website said it was a legacy fleet train on the blue line arriving in 5 minutes and when it arrived it was a fleet of the future. The same happened at Powell St. That day on the yellow line to SFO it said legacy fleet and a fleet of the future showed up :(
@@TurningRedForever Not all the time it was accurate & sometimes it was a scam. Try to focus mostly on 8-Car Sets on Green & Blue lines next time. Most of the Legacy Fleet trains I rode after the September 11 2023 service change are 8-Car Green Line trains. However, some of the Legacy Fleet trains I rode are 6-Car Sets.
I kind of have a question about the fleet of the future what was the second line it started before it started running on orange line
Hopefully my luck changes and I can ride another legacy fleet train
Why would you want to see a legacy train? I much prefer the new ones, they're much more comfortable, the digital signs are nice, and they just feel cleaner and more comfortable.
The good part is you can use the inverse of these tips to avoid them.
