This would make a great video to show us how to install the 2 pin automotive plug for those of us who are a bit scared to do it without seeing it. I have never cut into wires and spliced things together before so, a video is always helpful. Great video Doc.
I have just under two acres of lawn to maintain and bought the same sprayer to use for it. Best money I've spent on my lawn! I've used it for two years and the only issues have been the pump was bad from the factory and the hose clamp on the sprayer wand broke. They replaced the pump very quickly, so it seems you can count on the company to stand behind their product.
I bought this sprayer last summer/fall. It's been a great unit. When you purchase, be sure to upgrade to the Valley Industries Deluxe Spot Spray Gun. Also, check the hose clamps, and install #1 o-rings in the nozzles so they don't leak.
Great video. I cut a few inches off the hand wand hose and attached a small brass ball shutoff valve at the pump barb connection so I don't have to deal with the wand unless needed.
I bought the same unit 3 years ago. My only complaint with the unit is the spray nozzles are junk. The spray pattern is so uneven on each sprayer from side to side, you really can not properly calibrate it evenly. Any ideas on how to upgrade it??? I was thinking something like TeeJet nozzles and fab work on the arms, but they have soooooo many different applications its hard to pin down to just one.
Thank you for this video. I bought the exact sprayer last Fall and used it once. I'll be using again for the pre-emergent as you have taught us. I just moved into my new place last October. I have one acre. have a question on the containment area! I don't have a good place clean up, etc. This is exactly what I need to do. Can you provide details so I can "build" an area for this same purpose please?
I have the 32 gal spray. The cheap valves will have to be replaced at some point which I purchased the brass ones from amazon, mine had broke after a few uses. The handle started leaking at the clamp but it is a ready good sprayer for me. I bought it at the end of last summer.
Nice sprayer doc. Will this lower to volume of granulated products? I’m try to keep up with you. I just purchased my Anderson spreader and products through howtowithdoc. If you considering reducing any equipment, I would be happy to drive down from pinehurst with my trailer and help keep them In operating status. Thanks Doc.
I've also got the same tow behind, only thing is the plastic flow valves, 2 has broken clean off. So I replaced with metal. But that's the negatives, so all in all it's a beast-pump, lol not a breast pump!!! Best for the price,
In re to last topic, if you’re in drought, and you spray, and don’t have chance to water it in slightly, will the water run off take the chemical if it’s down pour or will it still work it in?
Hi Doc. I have seen you demo lots of equipment and was wondering if you had an option on the “robo” lawn mowers? I am looking for something to help with the almost daily cutting with the reel mower during the peak growing season here in Alabama.
I had the 21 gallon model. It was nice but not as precise as I would like. Bought a spreadermate b and haven't looked back. The northstar was a great pesticide sprayer.
You want to travel somewhere between 2 to 2.5 mph (no faster). There’s a great speedometer app that you can set for slow speeds. I believe it’s appropriately called “speedometer.” I just set it on my zero turn and spray my 25k lawn in no time! I love my 31-gal tow behind! Good luck.
Anyone know If this could handle 200’ of hose? I’m looking to be the next liquid lawn spray guy in my neighborhood. Yards are small and don’t need a full skid type of sprayer setup.

Just received mine, now having trouble finding fertilizer concentrate. What do you use for grass and also for insects.. thanks
“Putting together is easy, my son did it.” 😂

I purchased that exact one from northern tool. I love it.
Hey Doc absolutely love your videos what do you think about rolling your grass for pull behind roller or push roller I’m a cool weather grass guy?
I purchased the same rig and I love it!

thank you Doc im buying it tonight im hoping to figure out how many gallons it will take to spray roughly 10 to 12 thousand sq feet
The mower was going at a "walking speed" and psi at 20 roughly. Take it out with plain water and test.

Is the north star worth the money
Did you use the spray tips it came with ? And how do you feel about the flood tips ?
Hey Doc I've just started following your 2021 Bermuda grass Calendar. How can I get rid of Moles in the yard? The utube channel has been great.
Doc. I have a Bermuda lawn. Do you see any reason why I can’t just use Glyphosate for weed control when the grass is dormant?
Read the guide. Never use it because your lawn is NEVER 100 dormant.

If the soil is DRY... the first rains will work into the soil.
What is the name of the tow behind sprayer you have and where did you buy . When I hit the link , it wants me to download and it won’t . Thanks

How did you measure your speed driving the mower?

I wonder how hard it would be for my wife to pull this around the yard. Hmmm, probably should just buy the mower.

I have this model. It is great.
My lawn is 20k feet I am also looking into this thanx
What type of chemicals do you use?
It’s in the previous video
I have had one for 3 years. I love it, but now it’s leaking everywhere!!!
Ive got the bigger unit....love it
How do you calibrate it
Discussed at th-cam.com/video/mUCohLVZ5D0/w-d-xo.html
What’s the name of the song?
Oh man, are you going to really kill off that beautiful fairway grass?
What speed did you drive for your measurements?
