He does the same thing with the Los Angeles Dodgers. But the MLB has 4 teams per team MLB is top, 2nd is AAA, 3rd AA (this is where the real promising future players play and they often skip AAA), and A…
What?
I went on twitter today & saw 2 fellow Chelsea fans tweeting damn near the same thing
"Please Give us a transfer ban"
Can't blame or disagree with them. At this point, Boehly is shoving money down the shitter.
While Boehly could be hold accountable, I think he's a symptom for the real issue here. Eghbali is the real mastermind of this clown show tbh and I said this as a Chelsea hater
i dont mind if we get a transfer ban only because of the amount of players we have as options, the only reason we did good last year during an injury crisis that wiped about 7/11 first team starters was because we had good depth and random players like palmer, and gusto came to the light
Boehly is just the pretty face of this whole scam. Behdad Eghbaly appartently has more power to make decisions. Either way, I've been a Chelsea fan since 2006, and for the love of this club I want these clowns to leave. In 2 years they have destroyed the most successful club in London (European title wise). I genuinely hope we get relegated so that they are forced to sell the club to people who actually know how to run a football club

@Vizeh it was a good video apart from the mistake where you stated that we brought Sarr for 16 mill
That was his value at the time the actual amount we spent on him was nothing we got him on a free and he left on a free with us getting a tiny profit from loan fees
Hey I follow your Instagram lol
I see this going 1 of 3 ways. 1) Either complete dominance where we constantly have the greatest team as we’ve signed these young wonder kids. 2) We end up a mid table side because anytime a player starts to get good we sell them for huge profit and the next youngster comes in - E.g if we sell Palmer in the next 2 seasons for when Estevao comes in and then repeat before the team even has a chance to compete for titles. Or 3) We go into administration.
Sounds reasonable
Im honestly shocked that you consider option 1 as a possibility
there is no way that this will happen with this clown Boehly in charge
Option two is a bit more realistic tbf Dortmund used to be trophy winners then they switched thier model to young player - profit then the next young player
Chelsea knows how to sell i gotta give them that
As a Chelsea fan, we're fucked.

Correct, there's nothing genetically better about Brazilians at football. They're good because of their development at a young age. The less development they have, the more you're essentially buying nothing.
@@NotThatDeep172 Exactly, and people seem to forget that Vini's first season was a disaster (you can lookup videos of Benzema saying to his teammates that he swore Vini must be playing against them). It's the real madrid leadership structure that whipped him into a great player.

@@samelmudir Brighton doesn't have expectations to be competing at the top level. Just because they did it doesn't mean chelsea should copy it. That is if they have any ambition to win trophies.
I've been saying this for a long time, and it's an opinion I stand strongly by. Many many MANY future talents are having their careers ruined simply by being at Chelsea, and that makes me really sad. This shouldn't be how you run a football club. It's clear that everything poured into Chelsea is about profits and assets. What was once a club with passion in its direction is all gone. As a Chelsea fan it's upsetting to see. The way we do not look for leaders, the way we do not look for a team. The way everyone is just a price tag and their mediocre performances aren't getting better, and won't for years. Players that could have been generational cannot go back when they've not been given the chance. It's cold and I think in years to come people will look back on it and understand just how bad this really was.
If these young players sell on for more than they were brought in for, and the club makes money off them, how exactly does that ruin their career?
@@MrMilla103 There can only be so much space in a football club for players to evolve and become better. A lot of these young players won’t get a chance to progress in their careers. It seems that you think that if you buy a young player it is a guarantee that they will be worth more when they are older. If they don’t get any chances to prove other clubs that they are good, they won’t get bought.
In sports as in life, the majority will be hurt & a tiny few will make tons of money.
As a West Brom fan, Chelsea signed one of the best and promising academy players we had for a long time, Izzy Brown. He had just broken into the first team at 16. Then Chelsea bought him, and it destroyed his career. Such a shame.
He did it to himself, he should have seen what happened to many of those before him, he never really stepped up on any loan.
He was on loan to Brighton and suffered a horrific injury in one of his first games, got sent back to Chelsea to recover but he never really could and was never the same again, I think with Izzy it was just bad luck with injuries!
Injuries.
Didn't he retire early due to injuries?
The kid just wants money and Chelsea are the perfect club for that as they are just a bunch of mercenaries

The thing is, this used to work really well before the uefa restrictions on loans. Because you can in theory send them all out to top flight clubs. But right now the loans are capped, I don’t know the exact number, but I do know that it gets worse every season till the cap becomes around 7 I think. Now the situation is there are around 20 amazingly talented wonderkids stagnating in the Chelsea u23. Of course they won’t forget how to play football, but keeping them in the u23 competition will hardly increase their value, maybe even the opposite. The only option would be to stack Strasbourg with young players, but I think uefa will also regulate that if Chelsea buy 10 wonderkids from Strasbourg every season.
Basically this. The whole flipping thing is just stupid. They still pay all these wages for players that don't really contribute. When they sell a player they then need to get the money they paid intially, agent fees and wages to make a profit. And then there's all the big signings like Fofana or Cucurella that will never earn them a good fee.
I honestly don't know a chelsea fan who does like what's going on.
It feels like they are creating a football factory
how is it possible that Chelsea can keep on spending billions while other premier league teams can't even spend 200 million, overall, I think Chelsea need a ban for 3 years from signing players because they realistically don't need any signings whatsoever and i also think that any player that joins Chelsea any further will have their career ruined because how are all of those other players even going to be able to get playtime?
Their plan is easy flips but if most their players don’t really play or just play poorly then it falls apart
@@Vizeh sadly, i don't think half of the players would ever be playing, they would probably be loaned out because it's going to be difficult for the manager to give fair playtime to most of the players. And there is a possibility that some of the players might just leave the club after 1, to seasons.
Beacuse chelsea sell a lot of their players
It's even worse outside the Premier League and the European elite.
Nobody can pay the money that Chelsea is spending on these players except a select few clubs. So if none of these rich clubs want to spend the money they won't make any profit either.
Just look at BVB, the second biggest club in Germany and a Champions League regular, that's hardly a small club but their record transfer is Ousman Dembele for 35 Million Euros, who they obviously sold on to Barca. That's less than Chelsea payed for Dewsbury Hall, Badiashile, Disasi and about the same as Madueke.
So I don't know how they make a profit on an Uguchuku or a Chukuemeka
@@Casian291 they still deserve a transfer ban imo
They're trying too hard to bring the American sports model of rebuilding and farming players into the Premier League. This makes sense in the MLB (the league where Boehly as the most experience in), which has a closer degree of parity and where having a large deep roster is critical due to the 156 game season structure (and where having a crap season is actually beneficial due to draft lotteries), but it is very odd in a league where pro/rel is a possibility and where Chelsea have a clear financial advantage over most teams in the League.
Don't worry, they'll soon have enough players to run their own league.
Well this, and also those extra players who are being bought can’t just be sent to AAA or AA.
The Dodgers are a damn super team, but the young talent actually are playing in minor leagues. Can’t do that at Chelsea.
and that the playoffs are a literal crapshoot where the better team has had a losing record in the first round since seeding was introduced in 2001
Boehly is doing a Premier League model in L.A. and an MLB model at Chelsea
If the Premier League had a 12 team playoff Chelsea would have a real chance at winning it
If MLB had a single table then the Dodgers would be United and the Braves would be Arsenal
@@sawyertuide7636Honestly I think they might try using Strasbourg and maybe a few other global small league teams as AAA/AA affiliates
Just send non-generational prospects to France

3. The idea Chelsea bring through talent to the first team all the time which is false throughout most of the Roman era this is based off the 2019/20 window which was a freak situation due to having a transfer ban.
Some context you also didn’t mention was the fact that in the Roman era there has always been a huge squad of players young and not so young. Do people forget the 42 man loan army Chelsea had.

Just as slight counter-arguement, we had done this under Roman rule as well with the signing of young players, in fact the whole reason we had a transfer ban in first place in 19/20 was because we illegally signed some young players.
You make solid point where might have been bought for too much money (i agree), but as for lack of minutes, the players will get solid miniutes at other clubs e.g. Strabsburg one of feeder clubs, as we speak BlueCo (owner's of chelsea) are still scoping to buy another feeder club. In addition, the squad dynamic of the whole penalty situation at Everton has been already resolved by Enzo Marseca, the only reason why it happened was because Poch didn't stamp his authority onto the squad, you can probably go online find a quote saying that "he wanted the players to manage themselves" this created the 'toxic' narrative reported by the media. But Jackson, Madueke and Palmer all express their friendship online and even after the penatly situation.
Madueke made sure to bring Jackson over and sort out the situation and everyone moved on.
I don't deny that we 'lack experience' but i also have disagree that we void of it, they plenty of experienced players e.g. Nkunku (26), Tosin (27), Sterling (29) for example and we also experienced in terms of players who know chelsea e.g. Chiwell (+5 years at the club), Reece James (+10 years at the club), Colwill (+10 years at the club). In addition, they are also players taking up a leadership role in terms of the group like Cole Palmer.
This season will difficult but i also don't believe it will be outwrite awful.
Also @Faysal makes a good points in his own video
Problem is the rules have changed since then (and will continue to change) regarding loans reducing to 6 players over the age of 21 who don’t meet the home grown rules. A lot of the players you sign meet the U21 cap but won’t be at the club long enough before they turn 21 to meet the home grown rules.
So realistically they are only going to have 1-2 years on loan to either prove good enough or you are going to have a excess of players you can’t loan and haven’t yet developed enough that either need to sit in your U23s or be sold.
If it pays off you have some bargains. If it doesn’t the club has bought a bunch of anvils.
it's not a new strategy for top clubs, Chelsea and City have played the hoard wonderkids game for a while and it works to a degree, you stop rivals getting them, they become potential first teamers or you sell abroad for profit with a sell on fee and buy back - issue is Chelsea are doing it at an irresponsible level it seems and also not building a competent first team or any stability in the backroom staff - even if the buying young kids and selling them on aspect works, it doesn't resolve the lack of a plan with the first team :/ I'm confused by the whole thing - is it just some massive money laundering scam?
The Feeder club won’t help with the signed players because they still count for loans unfortunately.
Personally I think you’re being a bit optimistic with the leadership group and compared to Chelsea 04/05 with winners like Makelele, Carvalho, Ferreira and Geremi around the club, or the recent City or Liverpool 1st turn titles, there’s a real dearth of winners or older heads in the dressing room. Maybe some can grow into it like Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Cech did but we’re seeing a squad completely dearth of experience at the moment that was only really tried by Arsenal in the late 0s and saw a number of failures.
I think we have reasons to be optimistic, theres a good chance we can get top 4 (hopefully pre season doesn't count for anything…) but this squad does look dangerously unbalanced and bloated
Been a Chelsea fan for half of my life and it’s crazy to see these signings. I dunno whats going on at my club but I want the Terry, Lampard and Drogba days back man

No clue how Maresca is working with a team this large. There’s over 40 players, almost the roster size of an NFL team in America. The players will all be out for themselves fighting to be noticed and get minutes in the first 11, which will be precious like gold. They probably can’t all fit in the main dressing room right now, let alone develop some form of cohesion amongst themselves. It will definitely be interesting to see how they can pull this off.
Half of them will probably go on loan somewhere. He probably has like 20-25 guys he's actually planning on using.
about 20 of those players will go on loan/be sold
The fact Liverpool were dying to get Caicedo, Enzo, or Lavia so bad and didn’t, but yet Liverpool still kept finishing above Chelsea is actually hilarious 💀
As a Chelsea fan, there a 3 possibilities, we either dominate football with these youngesters and have a dynasty (incredibly low), we stay midtable as we keep doing this buy and play for a couple years before selling, or we are gonna be under investigation in a few years time for like 400 charges. There is going to be nothing inbetween
Or just have a 25 man squad with talent and don't buy so many players thats how you become a dynasty like Man City.
As a chelsea fan i cant believe we bought all these players and not one single CB with experience like Silva to offload some defensive of that experience 😢
i think felix said it very well, the owners said from the start that this is a 4 window plan and apart from the first season i do see what they are trying to do, sign all these young players, amortise their fee, sell them 3-4 years later for more due to inflation and their value going up and keep the gems like estavao paez mec palmer etc. issue i have is we’ve plunged ourselves so deep into the rabbit hole of youth to the point that our very little amount of seniority such as sterling and chilwell are simply not top 4 quality or aren’t performing to that standard. maresca said in a conference that the selling of academy talents isn’t a chelsea issue it’s a football issue as they are forced to sell basically, and the board value reece and levi as world class talents while chalobah and gallagher aren’t and so aren’t good enough to keep,
but how can you expect for the youngsters we buy such as datro fofana, angelo, wiley, washington, richards, kellymen etc to perform when there are millions on people in front of them yk? wiley is obvi meant to be a maatsen / hall replacement but then we send him to strasbourg, mec is a long term gallagher but he’s 15/16 so we have to wait several years for him to get into the squad, paez and estevao in my opinion are exceptional talents even neymar sings the praise of estevao but we have palmer madueke neto nkunku jackson mudryk sterling angelo etc all blocking their way into the team, to sum all this up i do see the plan and i follow it, just feels like the owners have done 10+ transfer windows worth of work in 4 and so it gives maresca an impossible job
issue with that is, they are human beings not commodities, young players need to be nurtured and developed. Abramovic and co had a similar way of doing things and in fact most top clubs do it to varying degrees - you buy up top talent in the 16-21 age bracket who you can either use in the future or sell for profit and stop rivals getting them (we've all played FM right?). But at the same time you have a competent manager and experienced squad with mix of ages, a clear philosophy and stable backroom staff otherwise what's the point cos your first team performs poorly.
also amortising their fee is all well and good if you believe in the investment and you're happy to be stuck paying it for the full term regardless of how they turn out - say NUFC right now are restricted by FFP but they know they have a growing revenue and rich owners so they amortise a deal cos they are happy to pay it in the future and be impatient - whether you sell the player or not, you still have to pay the full fee so if you sell half way through the contract, you will lose a big chunk of the fee because you still owe the previous club. it's not a foolproof plan, it's a gamble and last season it didn't pay off and they're now stuck with a few stinkers, they've not learnt though it seems
Trophies increase the value of a club more so than flipping players for transfer fees.
Chelsea became one of the most valuable clubs in the world after winning silverware, not buying kids and making a 10 million profit off them.
This is why I don't understand why Boehly and co. are going down this route? The formula was already there for them, but they've adopted one that will not work for a club like Chelsea.
@@StuTheDon17 I think they do plan to win things. If you see Boehly’s other sports teams they win a bunch of trophies. This is as much about business as sport for them. We have to have faith in the visions they’re bringing (what other fucking option do we have?).
Many people said when Abramovic came it couldn’t work because of the Galácticos and that’s not how to build a team and everyone had to smoke it. Maybe this is the next evolution of football.
How would their value go up when they not showing any signs in top flight

Feels like they're playing FM and just scouting players based on the media description. If you know you know 😂
Despite how bleak it looks the players can be used in uecl games to give them a role. Players like madueke, mudryk, and badiashille could be sold in future for profits. All they need is an experienced leader in defence to give solidity and chemistry in the squad to solve there current issues.
The problem with players like Mudryk is to show a profit, he really needs to become the new Ronaldo or Salah. The fee was so high that we’re almost guaranteed to lose on him.
He’s 23 and Wenger said that some players take off at 23, that’s the special age. So fingers crossed
Let me be honest here.. What Chelsea is doing can be seen as a strategy in 2 ways:
1. Trading players. If you see Chelsea raised 145M from the sales with another 100M expected (35M Lukaku, 30M Chalobah, then Carney, Sterling, Kepa, Petrovic, Matos, Broja, Datro Fofana, Angelo (who has interest from Spain)) and with 264M (amortization cost is 55M) per year. With may be Chilwell or Badiashile or Madueke or Ugochekwu or Santos may leave next season so it is not a problem. So just to do the accounting, you have 90M loss from last year and almost 200M profit this year minus 55M amortization so you are well off. Consider also all the big wages (if Lukaku and Kepa this year and Sterling and Chilwell next year leave will move away)
Also it is about getting more and see who works well. The ones who shine, stay and the one who cant move. Look at Malo Gusto, Carney, Cucurella, Caicedo, Ugochuckwu, Palmer or Lavia. If one of them becomes a 100M player again then we have massive gains at our hands and already a player at the club.
For example if Sterling leaves for 25-30M (first of all he will be in profit in the books, second 325K per week will be off the books, third we will have Neto as his replacement or even Esteavo Willian or Palmer or Paez can play on right alongside Mudryk - who is on 80K per week) and image the cycle repeats, if Willian becomes a star or Palmer is sold if Paez, Willain or Neto shines then we have another profit. So thats how it will become sustainable. Similarly if Badiashile is sold we have Ishi Smith bought for 4M or Anselmino for 16M as replacement.
2. This may also be long term strategy as once we go for Stadium rebuild with PSR enforced, it will be difficult to sign anyone next 4 years. So with a constant line of players we will be sorted for sometime
Financially Chelsea will be fine. It's a good business model selling and buying so many players but we're yet to see how it translates to on the field success. It's difficult for the manager and for the team to be consistent when you bring in 10 players and sell another 10 every summer
@@domagojkovacic4182 see us like 2015 Liverpool or 2019 Arsenal. It will take 5 years. Things will take time to settle and patience needed.
As an American who has an idea of the owners, Felix pretty much nailed majority of it, but there’s more. We’re keeping elite talent from the academy, such as Colwill, Reece James, Tyrique George, Achempong, and much more. But the talent that Chelsea don’t see as elite are all going out the door. As for signings, Boehly has completely stepped away and reports from some stateside journalists suggest Egbahli makes most of the decisions on transfers. They want to build and develop a young team to be dominant when they become older, with the depth that Real Madrid have. Problem is, we haven’t got any senior players to help integrate these newcomers into the squad to teach them the ‘Cobham’ way. Some of these guys will be sold for just profit due to a lot of shady dealings from Roman and the past board. But in general, the ‘plan’ is to develop these major talents into world beaters, sell the worse of the bunch, and have a team of elite talent to win the league in 3-4 years time. The owners current aim is just Champions League football unfortunately, but they still expect FA cup and European trophies
I found out so hilarious the fact that I found out Penders as an exciting prospect on my Valencia career mode, and the 2 days later, he signed for Chelsea 😂😂😂
Todays result soothing the pearl clutching i hope. Enzo knows what hes doing at least
Just how bad are the thirty-odd that don't get picked when Badiashile and Mudryck do.
We have the same problem here in Canada with youth teams in top flight, and even our highest divisions, League One and CPL. the squads load themselves with 40+ players and it just causes disasters everywhere. Talented players being left behind, forgotten and then left to fight for a spot by being over selfish, causing all sorts of horrible chemistry and dynamics with squads
Can they loan us a striker? I'm sure they'll love Brest !
Brest is nice
@@Vizeh Nice is Marseille

I can’t imagine being a Chelsea fan with the multiple players that were Chelsea fans being sold to sign no names, I really feel for them
Reece James is the last piece of Chelsea's soul left there.
its really not that bad all the talks are that we have 40 players but about 15 of those will be sold or loaned to strasburg or further developed by our academy

As a football manager player for 30 years, I love buying Wonderkids but there is nothing that beats the feeling of having a wonderkid come through your own academy
7 KEEPERS???!!! most times usually have 3-4 keepers.
It's realistically 3 but people want to be misleading
in 5 years chelsea is either going to be unstoppable in the premier league or unstoppable in league two. terrifyingly risky plan.
As a Chelsea fan I would like to say why I think we are in this situation and what the general idea behind the FM/career mode running behind the club post Roman. In short it’s down to four main things.
1. (As mentioned in the vid) a “proactive” approach to the potential transfer ban/ points deduction from activities from the Roman era leading to the frantic buying of youth prospects like a FM save, in order to have new players even under a restrictions using loopholes like how Roman did to get pulisic and sign Kovasic permanently in 2019.
2. PSR shenanigans you also briefly mentioned that in the vid but what I’m referring to is the business we’ve had with Villa with the Maatsen and Kellyman deals with the overvaluation of Kellyman signing him for £20 million (20 times his market value according to transfermarkt) but this is less so a Chelsea problem and more so a “PSR threatened clubs” problem as similar deals have happened with Everton, Newcastle and Villa this summer alone (a trend I expect to continue until regulatory bodies get involved) which has lead to some odd transfers like Kellyman to occur.
3. Multi club networks, a point that wasn’t in the video was the Chelsea owners aims to build a multi club network with the prior purchase of Strasbourg in 2023 and the links of the owners with clubs in Argentina and Portugal within the past year probably explain why Chelsea are buying youngsters to flip as they are not expected to play for Chelsea but are expected to go on loan or sold to clubs within the network as Strasbourg has demonstrated with andrey santos, Wiley and angelino leading me to conclude that the Chelsea youth project is a failed/underdeveloped multi club network with signings basically at the wrong club due to the small size of the network.
4. Preparing for a new stadium, it has been a main goal and struggle for Chelsea almost since the club’s founding to do something to expand or rebuild Stamford Bridge with the club on numerous occasions almost going bust on multiple occasions in the 80’s and 90’s over the issue (also being the reason we where sold go £1 to Bates). But where this is relevant to Clearlake is in one of its mission statements when they first bought the club in 2022 and being one of the pre conditions the Roman had for any suitors for the club was to rebuild the stadium like spurs or to expand like Liverpool did with Anfield. However, the problem with this is the extraordinary financial cost to building anything in London let alone a football stadium near central London. The effect it has on transfers is that it leads to the reasoning that if we spend money on high potential players now we don’t have to when the time comes to move ground, avoid the problem Arsenal and spurs had when they got their new stadiums, leading to those clubs going quiet in the transfer market the year their stadiums opened (spurs summer 2018 comes to mind). Also for the youth players we do flip, the profit made from these FM signings would be used to elevate the cost of the new stadium during and after construction, well that’s the idea I infer from it.
In conclusion, I do think there is a reason behind the madness for the medium to long term as there is greater challenges ahead for Chelsea. However, where the idea falls flat on its face is the lack of coordination with Strasbourg and the lack of clubs within blueco’s multiclub model which trails behind other models like the city and red bull groups respectively leading to a situation where we have nfl rosters instead of a cohesive squad.
TLDR; Clearlake are not the new Ridsdale, their multiclub network is too small and the club is expecting a major setback soon that prevents them from signing anyone (new stadium or embargo). But that’s just my unqualified take on my clubs situation.
P.s Great vid and keep up the great work.
Chelsea fan here, we’re finished.
Pls give us another transfer ban I'm scared of what's happening to my club
I don't know how more hasn't been made of Neto's injury record, this is literally the first time I've learned he's missed more than 100 games in four seasons
As a Chelsea fan all I can say is this is all Putin's fault😭
It's all on Putin...😂
Yes, Putin really forced you guys to spend over a billion at gunpoint 😂😂😂
We all know football manager, watching a few players devalue each season because you can't give them enough minutes or their loan move to Macclesfield is working
Chelsea have 30 players currently devaluing
Certified banger video due to the title alone 🔥🔥🔥
I agree with pretty much everything you've said. Slight correction though, Malang Sarr was signed on a free transfer
Chelsea out here playing longterm FM lmao
even on FM this would be OTT and a recipe for disaster
The "Chelsea Loan Farm" has been basically been a thing since the early 2010s
Kinda surprised by how much shock there is about how they afford this etc (now the questions over how intelligent and successful are definitely valid and needed)
its crazy the amount of young talent we get yes, but we ignore the fact that these young stars are not actually at the club 50-60% of them are loaned out to our sister club strasborg in france which is where they can get minutes, or the players we buy stay at their origonal club on loan until theyre older. Our team faced the most injuries out of everyone and the only reason we didnt drop to 13-20th place was because of our depth of young players. we have "40 + players in the squad" but were looking to sell about 7, loan 10 more and the rest are youth players that can still develop in the academy. Not defending the crazy amounts of money spent but to say were not giving any of the players we buy a chance is a stretch :7
As a Chelsea fan, I saw Chelsea in the title and just clicked without thinking twice.
P.S- A video was needed on us badly and yes we need Victor Osimhen badly
I don’t think Osimhen will change Chelsea sadly
@@Vizeh we need a proper goal scoring number 9 tho, tbh it's quite ridiculous that we haven't signed one even after spending a billion lol
😊
Osimhen isn’t better then Jackson btw
You need a new keeper, a whole new back 4, a whole new midfield and some decent wingers as well.
Thing is a decent transfer window (if you're not playing a video game) is 3 outfielders + 1 GK, maybe you can get away with 4 or 5, youth signings are OK as long as you don't try and force them into the senior squad straight away, but seriously any more than I said and you risk destroying team chemistry
From Chelsea Football team to Chelsea Footballers Industry ✅
Now it's safe to say Putin hurt the Chelsea's fans more than the Ukrainians.
It makes sense that Chelsea would poach Brighton, they’re contesting the 9th position in the table that Chelsea love so much
The vast majority of Chelsea fans, including me, hate what we’ve become. All we want is stability. But our board just keep piling on this «strategy». It sucks, plain and simple.
If we’re not among Europe’s best teams, yes I mean BEST teams in a few years, we’ll probably never see success again. It’s scary.

Hi Vizeh.. Chelsea fan here and I agree with a lot of the points, great video! Just want to note something small, 12:00 Malang Sarr was bought in on a free, not 16 million. 16 million was his transfer value at the time of purchase.
Lifelong Chelsea fan here, this ownership are destroying the heart and soul of the club. They cannot float this incredibly idiotic strategy by selling more assets back to themselves and squeezing the academy dry. It feels like they want to exploit every loophole they can find in the premier league, whether there is any point doing so or not, the current one is the unlimited squad limit for under 21’s, the last was amortising contracts. And the ownership do not want experience in the club as no experienced footballer, manager or back room staff member would buy into this joke of a strategy.
So they recruit more inexperience who will be the company men, it is like running a football club like Ford. Eventually the other 4 years of each of the amortised contracts (less than the first covered by the sale of an entire champions league winning squad) will start to bite them, no player is going to replicate the value of that squad without the minutes either, this could be a lost decade or worse, while rivals get stronger and Chelsea find more idiotic ways to accelerate their way towards a financial disaster.
I am incredibly concerned about the wellbeing of my club, I feel like this is the tip of the iceberg for how bad this situation could get.
Just a small correction, Malang Sarr was bought as a free agent.
But as a Chelsea fan I resonate with everything you said.
Some money laundering is going on with this amount tbh
I'm a hull city fan so I don't really know much about Chelsea, but until lampard with mount tomori etc I can't recall any Chelsea youth players being brought through for a very long time before that

My dad knows the guy who rented out his apartment to Alex Matos last season when he was on loan at Huddersfield. Apparently he hasn’t paid his last few months of rent, a symptom of how Chelsea have shielded their youngsters from reality and done everything for them. Really is a mess 😂😂😂
Todd boley heard the words ‘diversify your portfolio’ once and took it took litterally 💀
i disagree my reason is very simple we are doing something new in football and at the end of the season you will be talking different. this is a totally new outfit none of the players in the premier league know who these guys are and will take time to figure us out by then we will be on hand to do something special time stump this comment 13th August 2024 11:04
I completely agree with you Vizeh ( As a chelsea fan ) I am very concerned and dislike that we are constantly signing players mainly for FFF and for not giving our youth academy players a chance the foundation that chelsea fc is built around
I’m also a Burnley fan, and how did u feel about the Luton win. Did you think we were really good, Luton were awful or both
CFC fan here. Never been more embarrassed of the clubs actions than I am at this point in time. There is ZERO dopamine hit from every new signing that is announced and it’s just depressing watching all our home grown talent being pushed out the door. Chelsea finish mid table for years and then could fluke a champions league in 8 years, I thought this when Boehly first came in. I now believe Chelsea will struggle to become a contender in any competition in the next few years due to their choice of players, managers and dealing with running a large club. I would love to be proven wrong but Chelsea are not going to be the club of old that was feared by any other club in the country. Sad sad times.
To think we won the ucl with mostly academy players and now struggle to make it to mid table 🥲.It is sad what the owners are doing to the club and the careers of the players as well .Majority of them will never wear a chelsea shirt for a senior game. Were not a club but a business and as you said, were more of individuals than a team. Any fan at this point would be beyond delusional to think were are actually concerned with top four or wining trophies. I just don't see this whole mess working. The management will be mad geniuses to pull this off. All we can do is watch and let time tell if this club will burn itself to the ground.
the thing is, Boehly and co aren't buying people, they're buying contracts which might become more valuable in the future; they don't give two shits about the people attached, and in most cases are they massively improving the kids' lives anyway, at least financially. They are gamblers and gamblers know they will take some losses. But e.g. Palmer was bought for 40 million and if he has another season like the last he'll be worth 120m. So that offsets all the Brazilian wonderkids who didn't work out. It's incredibly brutal, and really difficult for the manager because it's impossible to build much team spirit. But they don't actually care about the football, the fans, or the players, it's all about gambling with their money. The league table is just onw measure of success among many, not the be all and end all.
if you dive deep and look at the actual core squad it will actually make a lot of sense, most of the guys will be sold/sent on loan/and the south american kids will arrive next season
agree mate, im so worried whats gonna happen in a few years..
The toy analogy is accurate. Like a billionaire buying multiple Bugattis... Fills a hole but you cant drive more than one car at once. Todd's forgotten how many men are allowed on a football pitch.
