Very cool guitar. I've always loved the split block inlays, the smaller ES style bodies, and Goldtops. My first ever high-quality guitar was a Goldtop LP. If I saw that hanging in a shop I would definitely want to play it
Wasn't expecting Sutherland to have such impeccable taste in guitars and such a nice signature guitar. Also I gotta admit.... the tone and playing in this one sounds so much better than when you're playing that Ormsby or whatever it's called.

P.S. the fretboard inlays are of the Super 400 variety. Ones that were previously used on the hollow-body's of the same name, and a selection of Les Paul's.
Serious tone off that guitar tho all things considered... I have a midtown custom which is the same recipe as this guitar in the tonewoods and design, they really make for a big sound... Another great video dude 🤘🏻
KDH…how did you like the ABR-1 bridge…I’ve always found them to feel a slight bit slinkier compared to the Nashville bridge…just wondering your thoughts…. I think that is a freakin cool guitar and I’m not a big hollow body guy!!!
That's cool man. I didn't know they made this, and I'm a sucker for signature models. They usually have improved or at least unique features, so Im always curious about sigs. I need one now. Lol
@@metallsnubben Every guitar should have 24 frets. Only reason they don't I think is because Fender was an electrician and people believe there's a sweet spot for putting the neck pickup that you can do with 24 frets.
@@Subscribeordye Not sure I need uncomfortable extra frets on a les paul scale length or stuff like that, but I will agree with a modified "if you _can_ put 24 frets without changing anything else, just do it" 21 frets on a normal stratocaster when you straight up have empty space for a 22nd without moving anything is very silly though

It’s a really nice guitar. If I could ever afford a 336 I think I would want one with a burst top but I know a lot of people prefer gold top Gibsons. Well done on this series!
Sutherland was actually married to the widow of Terry Kath who was the original guitarist for the band Chicago. Kath was considered one of the top guitarists of the 1970's. They were only together less than 5 years but I'm sure they got together because of the guitar connection

That was another great video. Your playing is very....very...organic, you play the 80s dwiddily dwiddily speed noodling, (look I'm 65, it's the only way I can describe it), but playing as you were there, in a slower gear to let more out of the notes is not just practice, it connection, part of the music, not a solo on top of it. Of course, if you wanted a solo on top of the music, you failed there. Rory would agree if he was here I'm sure. I like your integrity, honesty, straight forward and your dry comic style in your videos, there is so much bol#oc%s in the world these days and I for one don't believe that is our natural state. You do your research, and if its not everything you wanted....you say so. ,,,and I like your sense of justice, what's right is right.. the Rob Chapman ...expose. Demonstrating that just because you can play guitar, and get a big following on TH-cam, you may not be able to successfully run a buisness, that makes money.....and if your not careful, you could make yourself look a prize twerp infront of those same followers. That was good work there MR KDH..thanks for your work....I'll be watching...
If there's a Keifer Sutherland signature Gibson there should definitely be a Nicolas Cage signature model as well. I'm thinking a "Bee Burst" Les Paul.

He does indeed have very good taste in guitars. That thing looks like the ideal 335 style guitar IMO! I like the Trini Lopez diamond shaped F-holes a bit better, but I don't know if it would look better or not on this particular guitar.
Imagine being the person that has that model with the 24th serial number. Legendary indeed.

The difference between Kiefer gold and regular gold is in the karats. The Kiefer has 24.

The original model was an es336 with the snakehead headstock in 98 or so. They brought the cs336 in 2001.
