There usually is a tightening sequence for the head bolts. Sometimes it can be in several steps. You need a torque wrench. Maybe look into it. There may be consequences if this is not done but I am not an expert only trying to help. So good to see the boys learning these skills. I wish I had been able to do this as a boy. Instead I had to sit in a classroom and learn stupid stuff that was no use to me at all.
