Zach, Love the channel. I am just now getting back into rafting after about 7 years out of the water (other than a handful of trips). I guided paddle boats in Tennessee for two seasons and just bought my first raft, which I am currently working on outfitting with a custom oar frame. I have taken it out with paddles, but only rowed a few drift boats and smaller fishing rafts in my day and it is hardly the same sport. Reading water doesn't change, but the approach totally does. I truly feel as if I am starting over and it's quite daunting! From this channel to the river talk podcast, your insights have helped me feel confident putting in again. Hard to overstate my appreciation for your selfless contribution to paddling by helping to harbor a safer, smarter, more prepared community of inflatable boaters. Thank you for the wisdom and hope to see you on the water one of these days. You da man! IW
