    48 year old Mancunian.
My girl left after 26 beautiful years together.
Filled up many many pint pots with tears .
    Food pairing = chipsticks.
    Totally lost (boys).
    Found your amazing videos.
Spent a packet on camping gear
    Went to lakes
It wiped the floor with me. Filled up another pint pot of tears in the tent.
But in the morning , something had changed.
    New day , new life,.
Thanks so much hazey, you will never know the impact your passion & humour & love for us lot and the outdoors has had on me but hope you get a sprinkle of the importance of this.
Much love , have a fab year. X

Taking my 2 grandsons age 4&7 on their first campout next weekend, they're so excited.
Used to do it all the time when my kids were growing up, even used to take all their mates.
So when my youngest said he wanted his boys to have the same memories he has it became a top priority.
I can't wait to take them to my local beach where we'll have a lovely campfire to cook our dinner over then star gaze before snuggling up together.
Good memories truly do last a lifetime.
Oh and it's definitely a bread bun.
Thank you for being such an inspiration Hazey❤️

I don't get bothered much by midges or mosquitoes anymore. I eat garlic with meals daily and sometimes a bit of raw garlic, and this stops them landing or biting. Also I never use anti-mozzie sprays and never light 🔥 fires.
The garlic also stops ticks, and eating cashews will treat tick bites.
For burgers, I call it a bread roll, cob or bap.

Alright then... I had to sub after I heard your bit about how we need to sit back when times are tough and consider the fact that we are not out hanging a hammock with midges attacking our face off. That's some good advice my friend... good advice. Now I can hope and look forward to more deep thought... thanks. Oh.. and you are right... it's a bun. Usually I can't say it unless I add 'hamburger bun' for the full description. blessings.

My original comment was some dumbass comment about taking it as a compliment cause you must be a tasty lad to be eaten alive but I wrote it before finishing the video.
Thing is Hazey, I can't even begin to understand what you've gone through, I've never been in the armed forces, only the ATC and a brief stint trying to get into the weekend warriors when I was younger and I'm only a HCA now. I've seen a lot of shit in that role and a lot of it has been heartbreaking and my MH has suffered for it.
What I mean to say though is your videos, your attitude towards MH, your terrible dad jokes and attitude towards helping the rest of us see the next day are just absolutely commendable. I hope you realise that we love you too bud. We're so very lucky to have you on our worst days to calm us down and remind us that the world is still there. Keep fighting the good fight Hazey, we're here with you x ❤️

Thanks for the video and the effort in making it. I know what you are trying to say - You have to experience life in order to talk about it, also you have to be bitten by midges if you want to know how that feels. It is very difficult living your whole life without experiencing some kind of challenges, sadness, disappointments etc. I remember motorbike camping on the Isle of Skye and having to take my tent down in the morning wearing all my motorbike gear - helmet, gloves etc. The midges there were just savage. All the best.

31:10 It's a BAP, not a Bun or a flippin Tea cake (Tea cake's have current's in them except in Lancashire but they call them a "current Tea cake") they are a strange lot in Lancashire though LOL.
those Yorkshire Midges are relentless and ruined many camping trips for loads of people, I hate them as they bite me to bits and the bites i get on my bald bonce swell up into big painfull lumps and won't go for week's.

"At least I'm not trying to put a hammock up with a cloud of midges around me"
Did my first four-day hike over the long weekend and I had this exact experience trying to get my hammock up on the shore of Loch Lomond XD. Lesson learned: fire first, shelter second. Absolutely amazing trip though, did 33km the second day including a really boggy off-path section and even though my feet were absolutely killing me I was thinking of you doing the cape wrath trail and that barefoot challenge and it kept me going. I remember a quote from somewhere that suffering in life is inevitable, but you can choose the ways that you suffer, and it's always stayed with me. 100% the right choice, definitely be back for more. Thanks for the inspiration you've given me these last couple of years - I'd barely walked more than a few hours before covid and now I'm wild camping most weekends and happier than ever.
    p.s. it's a bap mate

In New Zealand we call it a burger bun or hamburger bun. Plain bread buns are usually too small for burgers, and bread rolls are long and narrow, not so good for meat patties. 😁😁👍

arg all those midges made me itch from here. you reminded me of the episode of Ray Mears Bushcraft where he goes on a canoe journey - theres a scene with a moose in a river and its literally blanketed in them and Ray's face is covered in welts 🥴

Up in Cumbria we call them Tea Cakes. There's no Cobs round here 😂
