Oh, I remember this! There were quite a few British pre/post apocalyptic dramas around this time, I couple of others I remember are “Invasion Earth” and “The Last Train”. I might have to look them up and see whether they’re available anywhere 😊
The uninvited 1997, was good. I watch the last train, invasion earth and the uninvited every now and then. Survivors 1975 was better than this 2000s remake in my honest opinion.
Unrealistic and dumb. Fighting over what? Food, shelter, and transportation would be everywhere. Oh and why would that guy give a frack about money??????
Very realistic indeed. People are dumb as bread. Without order, we return to the tribal state and from there on, it goes down, until order is restored, out of necessity. With such plenty recourses, order will not return soon. If this could happen, which it wont, because viruses don't work that way, it would take several centuries until scarcity kicks in.
This series was filmed in 2008 and there were two series. Survivors. 99.95% of people died. I met the author Terry Nation the TV writer when I was just 15 years old. I'm 61 now. Terry Nation did write a book called survivors based on his series.
You’re afraid of a contagious disease so u take a crowded bus home from the airport. Absolute genius! I don’t mind D-list shows but must they always be this dumb?
Lets not forget folks gathering by the thousands to "protest" during a pandemic...a respiratory infection while government placed punishments on others for being "super spreader" events.
Because I always make it a point of listening to whatever batshit insane thing weird, random outsider art in located in hardcore hillbilly country says to do. That only makes sense. Seriously?
This series makes absolutely no sense. History have shown over and over that during and after a disaster people tend to group together to help each other, not stop killing each other and become introverts. People don't just become homicidal Maniacs all of a sudden. Again this series makes no sense.
Look up the original 1970s series. That lasted 3 seasons and ended on a somewhat hopeful note. Also that series had no gangs of gun toting crazed survivers killing each other.Just occasional people who did bad things to survive. Most survivors banded together in small communities around farms to survive. Also there was no one from the government as none of them survived. Just normal people.
This was a great series and then they cancelled it. Reminded me of a series when I was a kid called ‘The survivors’ it gave me nightmares and tk this day I cannot understand how my parents let me watch this. I had to be very young.
I prefer the original series from the 1970s and the book tie ins.I was going to tell you about the incredibly sad death of the original abby but you will have to find that out by yourselves. Also the original series lasted 3 seasons. And it had a ending with a shred of hope for the survivors. Also no gun toting crazy gangs just people trying to survive and occasionally doing bad things to survive. And no goverment people at all just survivors banding together to survive on a small farm.
Reasonably good series, but the original 70's way better. Sadly this series was cancelled after a season or two, but it wasn't really going anywhere via the story arc anyway. A tad annoying the way many of the episodes finished around a cosy kitchen table. The modern BBC are 'Hit & Miss' when it comes to drama. Catch the original 70's series with Ian (Zombie Flesh Eaters) McCallagh.
Before watching I guess the antagonists are white men and probably white "Karen" , and the protagonists are black men and white women. Let's see how wrong I am.
Finally somebody does a recap of this series.thank you

Both of those were quite original and worth watching ....this is a very poor remake of the vastly superior 1975 series
@@wildfire160 Oh I remember the 1975 original it was great and yes this is not a good remake - story holds up but the first one was visceral.

It was ok but It probably should have stuck closer to the older 1975 series in tone as most of the updated elements were just a bit stupid.
He made Survivors back in the 70s first, and it was a better version than the 2008 one.
You’re afraid of a contagious disease so u take a crowded bus home from the airport. Absolute genius! I don’t mind D-list shows but must they always be this dumb?
looks around at people going on cruises and going out to eat in a pandemic...
People were throwing Covid parties to intentionally catch and spread the virus.
Lets not forget folks gathering by the thousands to "protest" during a pandemic...a respiratory infection while government placed punishments on others for being "super spreader" events.
If you look at what we did during the c19 pandemic... Well, people in this show acts pretty normal
@ granted, our reality post-November, 2016 is also stupid. We are 💯 living in the dumbest timeline.
So this is a documentary

This series was fabulous. I loved how the writers developed each character.

HATED this...not because it was bad...but because it was good and they cancelled it without ending the story.

Anyone remember the British TV show Sparkle? I think. A 99's show where the entire world population of adults disappeared from a science experiment?
Odd how politicians never seemed to fair poorly in 2021
...so who's now paying taxes?
As a DR Who fan I’d watch just to see the actors from there. 😂
Can't believe he is cheating on Jackie!

I loved this series and the original.
Billgate got inspired by this movie and started the "wakcination" campaign.

Wasn’t it Trump’s vaccine?
I remember Bill Gates saying, "The next one (pandemic) will get attention."
@ when?
Can you please do the season 2 and probably the remaining seasons if it has more
This series called virus was brilliant but cut short. Used to love watching this.
This remake was just as good as the original show ❤️.
10% of humans is still a lot though...100 million
8 billion ppl in the world 800 million
@hillbillyintheasia6122 Do you mean that 1% of human population is 800 million?
@Philball-h1u There ya go.
Ten percent of the world’s population is approximately seven hundred forty million people.
I was just talking about this series, trying to remember the name of it. Nobody recognized it.
Damn, where did I have seen this???
I loved this show
They always show us what they are going to do
