I love Jimmy Johnson!! He’s the best coach in the history of the University of Miami. I only wish that he’d come back and fix the mess that we’re currently in.
THE GREATEST EYE FOR TALENT EVER!! AN THE BEST HEAD COACH EVER!!! Numbers do lie!! He may not have all the wins that others have, but nobody is f**king with Hurricane Jimmy
Jimmy Johnson before making a name for himself at Miami University he coached at Oklahoma State where his teams were beaten by both Oklahoma and Nebraska
He had a severe talent gap with those two programs while at OSU. That changed when he started coaching at Miami. JJ was a great coach, but in my opinion, he was an even better recruiter. He didn’t let too many great players leave South Florida. His biggest miss was Deion Sanders. To this day, I can’t figure out how JJ let him leave Miami for the Free Shoes University in Tallahassee.
The second best Head Coach the Dallas Cowboys have ever had. And that’s no insult; Landry had to take that team and build it from the bottom up. Nowadays, no owner would be patient enough to wait 11 years for a Championship! But Jimmy went into a similar situation with a terrible Cowboy team and he finally figured out that to build the team he wanted, he’d have to trade his best player away. But people seem to forget that if Jimmy didn’t have Jerry, there wouldn’t have been the ‘92, ‘93 or ‘95 World Champion Dallas Cowboys.
I did not like Jimmy Johnson when he was head coach of the Miami Hurricane because I was an Oklahoma fan and Jimmy used to kick the s*** out of my Sooners LOL but I respected him
Right. Jimmy destroyed the Dolphins. After his mother died, that passion that few have and even fewer can control, drove Johnson to cultlike status among his players. Johnson never had the chance to put his brand on the Dolphins like he did the Cowboys and the Hurricanes. His wl record is def. up for debate w Miami. But a liar? No good? SOB? What's that about? Semper Fi.
For what HE DID? Boy, you had Better give some $h!t to "Dangerous Dan...or should I say.."Overpaid, no arm, no legs Dan, who's GIANT EGO won't let him walk away when he should, but instead, stay TOO LONG, and help weaken/destroy the Dolphins with his HUGE salary...and completely diminished skills....Just a shell of his former self..."Hey Dan, don't do us any more favors, go sell some gloves..."
jimmy Johnson definitely belongs in the hall of fame in both college and professional!

My favorite coach from any sport

I believe that his 1987 Miami hurricanes was a team on a mission plus righting the wrong that happened in 1986 losing to Penn state in the Fiesta Bowl
Chudzinski !

Please. He did not destroy the Dolphins. That's rather silly. It was a playoff team. That's not destroying them.
