Thanks so much Linda, I so appreciate you watching and even more so that you take a moment to leave a comment!! So glad you like this mini. I just got a thank you in today's mail from my Great-Niece telling me how much she and her husband loved it. That always makes it special. Patti
Each crafter crafts a little differently but they are all precious projects when done. I'm sure yours will be also. Thank you so much for your kind comments, they really made my day! Patti
Thank you Mandi for watching and you super kind comments! I'm glad you liked the mini, it was so fun to make. I loved the paper too and it was so easy to work with, everything just flowed together. Patti
I love the fact that this is over 4 years old and it is just as relevant and inspirational as it was when first recorded!! A wonderful book, great ideas and beautiful work. Thank you!
rennydesigns Thank you so much for such a lovely comment. It always makes me feel good when I still get comments from projects that are older. I so appreciate you browsing through my videos.
Oh I love these papers as well, I don't know how anything you made with them wouldn't turn out looking gorgeous. Thanks so much for watching and taking a moment to comment. Patti
You have absolutely made my morning by your nice comments. It's always so nice to know others like what you made. Thank you so much for visiting. I hope you'll come again. Patti
Hi Melissa, I used 12x12 papers throughout because that's all I had. I hide the magnets by attaching them to the base paper and putting the decorative paper over top to hide. Thanks so much for watching, so glad you liked it. Patti
Well my word I must say I am flattered this coming from you!!! Your albums and tutorials have guided my way I have to tell you!!! Ginger that first cut into the Romance Novel is really the hardest, lol lol, from then on it just makes itself! Thanks so much for your wonderful comments, they are greatly appreciated. Patti
Thanks Ada, I think I'm going to have to secure the little hand it doesn't want to stay where I want it put, lol. I appreciate you watching and your kind comments. Patti
Oh Lolis how kind, I so appreciate you watching and commenting but love that you liked the mini enough to put it in your favs. I hope you'll make one like this they are just so fun! Patti
LOL that's because I forgot the tags while filming! I didn't think of them until after the video was done and then I wasn't going to redo it so took the pictures instead. It made me so made, here I had cut all these decorative tags on my Cricut and then forgot to share, oh well. Thanks so much for watching, so glad you liked the mini. Patti
Oh Debbie thank you so much. I so love your channel and really appreciate you taking time to comment, it means a lot. I'll be waiting to see what you've made out of this paper!!!!! Cut Lady Cut, lol. Patti
Hi Joyce, thanks so much for watching! I bought one set of magnets (Basic Grey magnetic discs, large and small) at my LSS and most of the rest I've bought at JoAnn online. We don't have a lot of crafty places locally. I believe they are on sale right now online. HTH. Patti
Oh thank you so much Ruth Ann for the lovely comments. You be sure and let me know when you do your mini so I can see it! Lots of fun to make, you'll enjoy it. Patti
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to leave such a nice comment. This is one of my fav albums but I think it's because I love the paper so much. Patti
Thank you Elizabeth! You're so kind with all your comments. I was glad I spotted the brad to go with the hand when I was hunting through all my stash. It just made that page. Patti
Hi Christine, it only took me a couple of days to put it all together and then I played with making the tags another day. It really does go fast. So glad you liked it!
I am working on my very first album and have been watching videos of people's completed albums... yours is truly stunning and gets me excited about finishing mine!!
Thank you so much for Jequettea for your kind comments on my mini. And anyone can do what I have done, it just takes some time and playing. None of them are hard just time consuming. I so appreciate you taking a moment to leave a comment. Patti
Hi Linda, Thank you so much for subbing, and I'm so glad I inspired you to try this mini! No, the tags aren't the Romance Novel Journaling tags, they weren't available when I bought my stuff so I just used the cuts outs from the paper. The top tabs are cut from different pieces of the paper with fussy cutouts attached. Please let me know when yours is finished, I want to see!!! Patti
Hi Diane, what a compliment to have had you watch the video numerous times. That's what I do as well when trying to figure out how someone has done something. Thank goodness for pause and rewind, lol. No the Collage Pauge doesn't leave too much shine, neither does the matte medium, the mod podge does though. I am using just my web cam - Logitech C910 and the free Windows Movie Maker, nothing fancy by far. I set the webcam on my tripod I drape over my flat screen monitor. It works :-) Patti
Kathleen if you look right under my video you'll see the LIKE button and directly below it is the description which has the link. Please PM me if you still have problems. Thanks so much for your kind words, I'm so glad you like it!!! It's a great tutorial from Ginger, so easy to follow. Have fun. Patti
Hi Lynn, no I haven't but mainly because I'm not sure who I'm giving it to. I thought perhaps a wedding present this summer and if so I'll probably add something to the cover at that time. Thanks so much for all you nice comments. Patti
Hi Melodie, thanks so much for watching and I'm so glad you liked the book. I buy the magnets usually through JoAnn.com when they are on sale, I'm not able to find them locally. They are called Magnetic Discs from Basic Grey. Patti
Thanks so much for your kind comments on my designs Grace. I've just now subbed to your channel so haven't watched your videos yet, hoping to do that soon. I love this style of album, It just flows together so nice. What a sweet thing for your daughter to do. This paper is super to work with! I couldn't find the A4 size when I was doing mine so, it will be great to work with. Have fun, can't wait to see the finished project. Patti
That is the French Scroll Punch, it's Martha Stewart and I bought the Punch Around the Page set which has the corner punch and border. I also use one called the Seagull punch from Fiskars which also makes a good one to slip photos into. Thanks so much for watching and I'm so glad you liked it. Patti
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. And you are absolutely right I do put my heart into my projects. It's so nice to create something you know you are going to share with someone else. This album is going to my Great Niece as a wedding present this month. Patti
Hi Irene, I'm so glad you liked the mini. In the description box under my video is a link to Ginger at My Sisters Scrapper that has a wonderful tutorial on how to make this mini. That's how I learned. The tags I made were cut on the Cricut using the Elegant Edges cartridge. I hope that helps. Patti
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way that you did this album. I adore this paper. I have done several projects with it, and I just don't grow tired of it. It's a great project paper. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Gina, I used the Basic Grey magnets, the large and the small. The tags were made with my Cricut using Elegant Edges. Sorry forgot to put that in. Patti
Your album is so flawless and beautiful!!!! I love the deign of the album, the pockets and all the flip outs!! There's so much space for photos!!! Beautiful girl! Hugs, Neen
I cut the top tags on my Cricut using the Elegant Edges cartridge but you could use any that you had and just vary them pocket to pocket. I would really love to see what you make once you are done. I appreciate your nice comments and am so glad you've found things from my videos to help you create your own. Patti
Thank you Yvonne, your comments are always so appreciated! I wasn't able to find the pads when I bought the paper so I had to be satisfied with the single sheets. I was lucky enough to add a couple of free digital downloads Prima offered to go with them though. Can't wait to see what you make with yours! Patti
Oh I agree, the paper lends itself to being made into projects, I just loved it, but I like that high distress edge look. Thanks so much for you kind comments on the mini, they are much appreciated! Patti
Hi Peggy, I'm so glad you liked the mini. I had only 12x12 sheets, I think I bought 16 sheets. At the time I bought it it was really hard to find so I couldn't be too picky. I added from my stash papers that had the same colorings and blended well to fill in where I found I was short. I would go through all your paper first and see what you have that could go with what you bought. You can use a lot of solid black with this line. I'd love to see your finished book. Patti
Hi Mercedes, thanks so much for watching and I agree this mini would make a lovely gift!!! If you look above just under my profile picture under the "about tab" you'll see a link to tutorial on make the mini. Patti
The magnetic closures are Basic Grey Magnets. Sticky on one side you place one down cover with paper, place the other (magnetized to it) on top, lay your next page (or the other half of what's to be stuck together) over top magnet onto adhesive on back of top magnet. Press firmly, pull apart, now cover with paper. They are perfectly aligned this way. Will answer photo question in PM. Thanks for watching. Patti
Hi Stephanie, thanks so much for your kind words, so glad you liked the mini. You can go to Marion's website and download some papers if you find you don't have enough. I only had some flat 12x12s and had to really improvise to have enough, I couldn't get the pads when I bought mine. Have fun, let me know what you create! Patti
Hi Joyce, thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment. I have bought a lot of my magnets (Basic Grey Magnetic Discs) from JoAnns online. They have them on sale a lot. I tend to use the larger ones but always keep both on hand. HTH Patti
You have a couple of options with the 6x6 pad Rita, cut down the tops of the bags to make a shorter mini, more square, or border your papers with solids. You'll just have to get creative, lol. You can download and print ones that will go with the pad online. I just don't like to print so many papers. Let me know what you come up with and thanks so much for your lovely comments. (Personally I think the square mini would be a neat one, I hope you'll try that). Patti
Hi Patsy Luckily I still have this mini so I got it out and it measures just a tad over 3". If memory serves me right I think I used Gingers directions just as they were. It leaves lots of room to add paper embellishments. I didn't use a lot pre-made flowers and bulky stuff in this mini, just let the paper speak for itself. So if you are wanting more room you might want to increase the spacing between each of the hinges by 1/8" or so.
Thank you so much for you nice comment! I just loved this paper, it was so fun to work with and Ginger's tutorial for making this kind of mini is so exceptional. Thanks so much for subbing to my channel, very much appreciated! Patti
Patti, this still is my most favorite album you have made (my sister told my niece that the album I made for her, much like yours. is a keepsake!). This paper collection is by far STILL my most favorite of all. It is so beautiful with the rose graphics and post cards. The advertisements and antique typewriters within the collection just really makes the collection the absolute best. I purchased Marion Smith's printables collection of the Romance Novel after I saw this collection from Prima. I tried to go to her site to get the web address for someone who wanted to purchase it as well, but her site is down which was her original site. She has not posted on her newer website for two years. It's almost like she dropped off the face of the earth. I wonder what has happened. She is such a beautiful graphic designer and I had even purchased some of her husband's printables as well. So sad not to be seeing anything from her now. Glad to watch your video on this album again. Brings back memories of making my first album my like this one for my niece. :-)
It's my fav paper as well, it was one of the hardest to give away because I liked it so much. Thanks so much for watching and taking a moment to leave a comment. Patti
Hi Brenda, I added the link to the tutorial in the description box above to Ginger's tutorials, that's how I figured out how to do it. She has an amazing set of tutorials that walk you step by step on how to create one. Go check her out and try it, if you need any help along the way just holler at me and I'd be more than happy to assist! Have fun, Patti
You are so nice to respond to everyone! Cannot believe that I found one last pad of this paper online. It so reminds me of living in Paris. Thank you for so graciously sharing with everyone. The link to Ginger's video is also very helpful.
Thanks so much, this was one of my favorite albums, but the paper just makes it. So glad you subbed and will look forward to you stopping by again. Patti
I buy the Basic Grey Discs usually the large. I can't find them locally so I usually buy them from JoAnn.com when they have a 40% or 50% off sale. Thanks for watching and commenting, so glad you liked the mini. Patti
I use the Basic Grey Magnet Discs, I usually buy them at JoAnn.com because they are hard to find locally and lots of times on sale online. I most often use the larger ones but I do keep a set or 2 of the smaller ones on hand just in case. Thanks so much for watching! Patti
Tina I didn't do one because Ginger has a fantastic multi part tutorial on how to make a Vertical Paper Bag mini. Her link is right above in the description box. So fun to do I hope you'll try it. patti
Fantastic album!!!! I just love all your creative designs and embellishing. I too am a huge fan of MySistersScrapper's Vertical Paper Bag mini album. My daughter just sent me an A4 pad of Romance Novel paper and I hope to make another album soon, but other projects need my attention at the moment. Thanks for sharing, Grace
Those were free downloads that Prima had on their Friday freebee on Facebook that complemented the collection. So glad you like the book Mary. My Great Niece should have it on her doorstep tomorrow, I'm anxious to see what she thinks. I would love to see what yours looks like when you are done. Patti
I too am a paper hoarder! Hoarding this paper line right now but I think you have inspired me to try this tutorial, I don't know if I'm ready to cut into my paper yet.... So beautiful and interactive! I think pink and black must be one of my favorite color combos. Excellent work Patti. Brenda
I have gotten so many questions I should have done a tutorial as I made it but who would have known, hindsight is such a marvelous thing. I cut the top mats with my Cricut just using various cuts from Elegant Edges. The corner punch is Martha Stewart French Scroll. To make them stronger either glue 2 pieces of cardstock together for the mat and then cut the corners or use Matte Medium on the corners. Lots of times I add these things to the photos on my blog so you can always check there. Patti
Gorgeous! Love that paper- it is one of my favorites even still, and the way that you used it. You are easy to listen to and watch! Love your style! Debbie
Thanks so much Debbie, your comments are so appreciated and I'm so glad you liked this mini, I have to admit this paper is one of my favorites as well! Patti
If you're wanting a tutorial for the construction of the book Anne it's in the 'about' section below the video. If you're wanting directions on a specific part of the book could you let me know which pages and I'll see what I can do? So glad you liked it! Patti
Hi, thanks so much for your lovely comments. The tutorial is listed above in the description under the video. The tutorial is from My Sisters Scrapper and she's put it into several videos showing step by step how to do each part. When you get yours done be sure and let me know so I can see! Patti
This album is absolutely beautiful. I am a huge fan of this style of album. I have made a couple. I have also made folio albums with similar papers. After watching this video I am inspired to get to work and make next years Christmas gifts for some special people.
Kimberly you place the magnets before you put any paper down. I usually put the one down (they are sticky on one side) put the other on top and then lay the top paper over pressing firmly so the magnet sticks to the top piece. When you pull them apart they are perfectly lined up. Then add your decorative paper. Hope that helps. Patti
Just beautiful Patti (as usual...you do such nice work!) Sure can’t tell this is a paper bag album.. very different from the old style paper bag albums (15 years ago!)..much more sophisticated! I’ll check out Ginger’s tutorial. As always, thanks for sharing all of your beautiful work!
Isn't that the truth Brenda, things (styles and construction) do evolve over the years and hopefully for the better. Thanks for watching. I always loved this paper line, I'm still hoarding one 6x6" pad, silly huh?
I love the paper but all the work you have done to make it yours is fabulous. I have made one of these albums using Gingers tutorial and I was happy with it but seeing yours I wish I was as clever as you. I have to make another but it has to be a baby album so I won't be able to distress as much as you have for that, shame as you have made it beautiful with the distressing but you have inspired me to use the ripped pockets and belly bands, so bless you... Love ~ Lady Anne xx
Thank you Gisela, I really like this style as well. And I agree, the paper was fantastic, I hated to give this one away. Thanks for taking a moment to comment and I so appreciate you subbing. Patti
I do that Jennifer but TH-cam won't thread the comments the way they are suppose to, if you know of any way to change a setting to have it work I would be extremely happy. It has been a constant complaint of many of us TH-camrs for a long time. I finally just gave this album away this week, it was hard this was one of my favorites, I think because I loved the paper so much. So happy that you liked it as well. Patti
You created a very inspirational album with great interpretation of the colours and papers.Good for you. Incidentally, I enjoy all your work. Keep it up and continue to share.
Hi this one, the Romance Novel is actually going in Monday's mail for my Great Niece. I've only made gifts so far but may end up putting some up for sale, if I do I'll let you know. I wouldn't be making another of the Romance Novel because I can't seem to find the paper :-( So glad you liked it. Was there something you were looking for specifically ?? Patti
Thanks so much Donna, I'm glad you liked my mini and I appreciate you taking a moment to leave a comment. Patti
Thanks so much Linda, I so appreciate you watching and even more so that you take a moment to leave a comment!! So glad you like this mini. I just got a thank you in today's mail from my Great-Niece telling me how much she and her husband loved it. That always makes it special. Patti

Love your vertical mini album and the lovely paper you used. This is going to make someone very happy. God bless, Peggy
Thanks Amyleen! I love making the Vertical Paper Bag minis, they come together so well and of course you can't beat using this paper line!

Well, I love this album! I just realized it is over 5 years old, but I just discovered your channel! Love, love, love it!
Yep it’s an oldy but I still think it’s one of my favorites. I loved that paper line.

Thank you Iris for watching. I'll send the info of where I learned this type of album to your email. Patti
It has turned out beautifully and the choice of paper is great. Very inspiring. Thank you.

Very pretty . Enjoyed this tutorial and the look of the finished album. Thanks for the inspiration .
You are so nice to respond to everyone! Cannot believe that I found one last pad of this paper online. It so reminds me of living in Paris. Thank you for so graciously sharing with everyone. The link to Ginger's video is also very helpful.
This has got to be my all-time favorite paper bag mini! The paper...what you did with it...is stunning! Subbing!
Patti
Love your album, these papers were just awesome to work with and you've done a some fab work with your album!! tfs, hugs and smiles, Linda
I'm glad you'll be able to use some ideas from my mini in yours. I'd love to see yours when you're finished. Have fun! Patti
It is so fantastic to work with! Are you making a mini? I'd love to see when you're done. Patti
Patti
Oh that's wonderful, would you let me know when it's done? I want to see!
Thank you Pam, I'm so glad you liked and it so happy you chose to subscribe to my channel. Patti
Hi, thanks so much for your lovely comments. The tutorial is listed above in the description under the video. The tutorial is from My Sisters Scrapper and she's put it into several videos showing step by step how to do each part. When you get yours done be sure and let me know so I can see! Patti
I like your sense of color coordination and overall styling. This mini is gorgeous!
TFS,
- Katja
Thank so much Katja! I so appreciate you taking a moment to leave a comment and so very happy that you liked the looks of this one. Patti
Beautiful mini album. Love how you used the magnets to hold some of the tags in place.
This album is absolutely beautiful. I am a huge fan of this style of album. I have made a couple. I have also made folio albums with similar papers. After watching this video I am inspired to get to work and make next years Christmas gifts for some special people.
Thanks so much Wanda for watching. Great idea for using the the minis for gifts and it's never too early to begin!!
This is a lovely album. The variety of pages is lovely, you have inspired me to try and make an album now.
what a lovely work of art you did a great job ...........ty for showing it .....Pauline x
Thanks Pauline, I'm so glad you like it, I just loved this paper. Patti
Hi Linda I use the Basic Grey Magnets, they're pretty thin. Patii
Stunning book, love all of it and the paper you have used is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing with us...

I LOVE this mini. The details are amazing and clever. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much, it's one of my favorites, I just loved working with this paper. So appreciate you nice comments. Patti
Thank you Gisela, I really like this style as well. And I agree, the paper was fantastic, I hated to give this one away. Thanks for taking a moment to comment and I so appreciate you subbing. Patti
Get those scissors out and cut cut cut girl! You'll love whatever you make with this paper. Thanks for the kind comments my friend.
Patti
