I havn't understood the meaning of scrapbooking until i saw your videos. Got inspired and wanted my own album. I have started my first project, tried on my own and browsed TH-cam for tutorials. Here is the tutorial I was looking for! Now I can hopefully complete my own project, without too many mistakes. Love from Sweden.
Thanks so much for doing this series Ginger!!! I have decided to make an album for my mother-in-law for her birthday. She is a lovely woman, but so hard to buy gifts for. She will love this album with photos of her grand-kids and great-grandson. You are my hero! lol Debbie
Ginger I have watched so many videos from so many scrapers...your tutorials are by far the very best...you have a unique ability for teaching..you explain everything so that any skill level can follow along with no difficulty. I have learned so much from you so much for sharing your love of scrapping
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU for this entire series on building an entire mini album! I so appreciated all your trial-and-error tips, because we're all going to do the same and seasoned advice always helps. I so-o enjoy youtube over youstream because reception is so much better and lessons are direct and to the point. Your folksy demeanor is very enjoyable to both listen to and learn from. Now I'm ready to create my own mini, keeping your videos at the ready as I work. Terrific job!
I have watched all on this series and it is amazing. I always feel like I don't have enough of one thing or another. You make it so easy ... thank you Debbie B
A million thanks for your lessons. I've just finished a paper bag mini album and love it dearly. You seem quite calm and know exactly where you want to take the class. I cannot thank you enough for your tutorials. This is the second one I've completed. Bless you!
i've never made one of these but now, thanks to you, I'm going to give it a try. Can't thank you enough for these wonderful videos, what a great job you did.
OMGooooooooosh, what a lot of work. You are AWESOME for spending so much time showing us newbies how to do this wonderful thing! I am so excited and now feel like I can make one. Thank you so much for your care and patience in doing such a wonderful teaching tool for us all.
I loved everything about this series. In fact I'm sad that it's over. I would love to see how you make your bows on your spine. Thank You so much for sharing. Patty
I just discovered you and I am enjoying your tutorials. You are a great teacher, your videos and instructions are so easy to follow. Thank You for all the tips and tricks as well.
So....I went on a blog hop on Saturday morning that happened to be someone who either knows you - or found this idea from you... OMG am I in love with this album...and can't wait to get the other 3 now that are on my mind to do - DONE...and I just started the first one! I did things just a bit different - and did all of my pages first, then my cover - that way I can make sure to have it big enough - because like you, I tend to get a bit big when making my albums!
Tim Holtz's grunge paper is great for spine also. I ran it through an embossing folder and covered it with black pigment ink. Came out a very cool ornate pattern that looks like leather. I also used his on the edge die cut on each side. (awhile ago on a different project). Mini albums are as much fun as making baby quilts!!!
Fabulous tutorial! Thanks for the tip about the charm tutorial with Monique, I always struggle. Huge thanks for sharing, & the inspiration. Very much appreciated!
I have really enjoyed watching and learning how you put your mini albums together. I will hopefully be starting on mine this weekend. I have learned quite a lot.
Awesome tutorial!! I am anxious to make one now!! Loved every feature about this album but was especially glad to learn the waterfall technique! That really gives you a ton of space for pics!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing!!
Thank you Thank you for your wonderful tutorial. I love your detailed explanations and measurements. You are amazing at what you do plus an amazing teacher. I can't wait to get started!
What great videos! Thank you for doing them for us. I wish I had been able to see you put the binding on before I tried it on a book that I finished last week. It was pathetic! Yet your instructions were so clear and easy. The next book I make will be much easier.
Thanks so much for this tutorial, I have enjoyed making this mini and I know I'll be making many more since you took the mystery out of the process. Jackie
Ginger, I have figured out all the measurements for the album using the tad bit smaller bags and I just wanted to say I am very happy with my mini album and I loved your whole tutorial series, Please do many more, I have made 3 of your books so far. I am going back now to decorate and embellish the album and would then love to send it to you to critique :) thanks so much, you are a great instructor :)
I can't thank you enough for doing this tutorial. I've been a scrapbooker and cardmaker for a few years now. Always wanted to make a mini album. I know I've watched over 100 tutorials and videos showing the finished mini album product this past year or so. However...I've always been afraid to tackle one. Until I watched your series here. Watched the whole series...then pulled The Paper Studio Kirby Teasdale stack off the shelf...used box of some sort for cover...and began step by step with you as my fearless leader. As a grandmother of 11 and 3 great grandchildren...I've just GOT to get several of these made. Oh my...It has turned out gorgeous! I feel like I could conquer anything now! Ha ha! Really though, I will be making these as wedding, baby, birthday, etc. gifts from now on. It only took me these 2 days to do this. And I feel I can make them quicker now that I know how. Again...THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. God bless you for being so thorough in teaching all of us your techniques and tips...and telling us why and how! I've been a huge fan of yours all along, but mostly just watching and oohing and aaahhing! Now I'm an active student :-)
I really have enjoyed your videos!!! your albums are beautiful! and I will take to practise lots of things that I learnt with you! thanks so much from Spain!
Hi Ginger - I thought I'd let you know that I am currently working on my 4th and 5th mini albums using this tutorial series. Album # 4 is for our 6th grandchild (a girl) who will be born on April 7th. Album # 5 is for our first great-grandchild (also a girl) due at the end of this month. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial and all of your great ideas. The albums I've made so far have been very well received, and I enjoy being able to give a gift made with love.
Thank you very much for such great tutorials. I cannot wait to get started on making one for myself. Should it turn out I hope to make some as gifts for next year. I look forward to more from you. Thank you!
Super great tutorial. Thanks for the great instructions and the inspiration. I love the Timeless Type mini. It´s stunning. I have the papers too and I try my best for my mini. Lg Iris
I am just watching this for the first time and I just love what you’ve done. This is such a beautiful book. I was wondering if you were to sit down and work from start to finish how long does it take.
Thank you for such a informative tutorial , My aunt and Mom are coming to visit for a craft week so i think we will make one then. I was wondering where to get the magnet pieces you used for closures on the decorative tags?
Is there anywhere that you've posted like all the measurements of everything? It's hard to figure out by listening sometimes for me. THank you so much. Loved this.
I love this project. I'm starting to decorate & embellish the pages. I like the pockets you made on the front inside cover & the tag page. How did you make those or where did you buy what? Thanks.
I love this book. Question I have is exactly how many pieces of cardstock is used for the entire project using the 8 1/2 x 11? Also, how many sheets of design paper did you use for the entire project? I wasn't sure if you only used 6 different designs of 12 x 12 and 1 sheet each or did you use more than six designs to add the magnetic photo mats out of different design paper? I am attempting to create my supply list. I started this and had only 10 sheets of the cardstock and had to use a different color to complete the waterfall and some of the photo mats. This truly inspired me to think outside the box and planning to use this as gifts.
Thanks, as far as how many sheets of 8-1/2x11.. I'm not sure. Sorry... I buy my 8-1/2x11 cardstock on sale at Michaels. It comes in a pack of 50. I do know that for the design paper I used an entire collection. I used a "stack" from DCWV which has 48 sheets. I used 24 sheets for this project. So you can get two books from one "stack".
Thanks. I am almost done with my first book! I had bought a 50 pack of various shades of brown when it was on sale, and have about 10 variety packages of different colors at 5 for 10 dollars at Micaheals, and subsequently bought 3 different color bags. As far as designer papers I have more than enough to create quite a few more than I have bags. Just trying to try to right a supply list for sharing with the people I will gift these to. I had to use matting board for the binder since the chipboard I bought online was too thin for my taste. This is actually the first scrapbook I will ever make. Thank you for the great directions and videos that inspired me to try. You "rock" the house!
+Barbara Robinson I try to buy my cardstock when it's on sale at Michaels too! I order my medium weight chipboard online from Amazon. It comes in a 25 pack. It's pretty inexpensive. It is made by Grafix.
Thank you for the info. I bought a mat board on clearance and it was 2.99 and I'd enough for 7 books! It was really big and didn't fit in the cart. I will look for that to complete my next set of books. Since there was a sale last weekend on paper at Michael, hobby lobby and jo Annes both on line and in store, I got enough cards to ck and design paper to make 45 books. Lol. Of course I have some other projects to use all that paper, I did get my magnets and other supplies to finish up some nice albums thanks to your awesome video series.

I know it's been a while since this series I wanted to let you know it's still a great lesson. Thanks so much for your help, Kina

I love this project. I'm starting to decorate & embellish the pages. I like the pockets you made on the front inside cover & the tag page. How did you make those or where did you buy what?
Thanks.
Those pockets were made with small gift size envelopes that I stacked.
Beautiful

Can you please try to do a tutorial on how to add a wallet style photo mat to this style of mini album.
Super cute
Me encanto
I was wondering. Why not do the cover first then the inside, then last, embellish cover ?
You can most certainly do it that way. This is just how I chose to do it for the tutorial.
