  • Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has initiated plans to construct a modern transport terminal in Enugu. Earlier this week, residents and business owners in the crowded Holy Ghost axis, who were affected by the proposed modern transport interchange at Holy Ghost, reported receiving their compensation. However, a lingering question persists: what is the system of operation?
Enugu State Commissioner for Transportation, Obi Ozor, will now join us to elaborate further on this idea.

This is a welcome development. I was in a terminal in the UK and I suddenly thought about the Government replicating this in my dear State, Enugu. Now I am seeing this. Kudos to you. Please let it be strictly PPP. It has to be private sector driven for sustainability.
You should also think of building shopping complexes around the Terminals.

I like the idea. It is about time to
organise activities in the state .
This concept will remove transport park on the road which is causing nuisance to the road users.
The next move is to control the petty traders on the road sides whose activities is an eye sour. This uncontrol petty trading activities is a major contributer to the dumping of refuse on the road.
I hope the stations are constructed to the highest standard to last long.

Peter Mbah is doing well oh. Construction everywhere. If he continues like this, by the end of this his first tenure, Enugu will be unrecognizable.

Good if you actually build it. By now everyone is sick and tired of seeing 3D renders using computer assisted design (CAD)
to bamboozle people and then do nothing afterwards. Ugwuanyi, Ikpeazue et al did the same, then disappeared into oblivion
after 8 years of wasted state funds.

This great and here in abroad, that is what we use to move around any place in this country. It is a welcome development if this loudable project will be seriously implemented and not only on paper.

Enugu should have designated road lanes for BRT buses. Enugu deserves an intra city Metro train system. He should think on that too. Enugu pace of development is too sluggish.

Very nice idea:…. But the marketers, occupying the space should have been given time and well announced. To settle landlords is not enough because most won’t tell tenants, meanwhile that place needed flyover not park. It will always be congested because of the market, the government would have build this in a different places. Prison is there also

I’m looking at the pic of the project and wondering where they will get the space to build all that? The present park isn’t large enough.

No 3-D rendering of the project? So we know if or when they deviate from the original plan!

Why such big hub in an already built up area instead of moving such to virgin land that will draw development and expand the city.

I think government is just trying to make a mark, no master plan for this . If you want to invest in transportation, first build road possibly special route for it. The route will be traffic free, faster and smoother connecting to major markets and future railway 🚃 as well as the future smart city and airport . Like I said first dualize the road to maybe 🤔 4-6 lanes use two for the state terminal others for public use

    This is white elephant project.
Peter mbah is not going to build such gigantic infrastructure in Enugu city.
Enugu will forever miss Sullivan Chime 😢😢!

Girl, I don't understand. Please, do you have a problem with Peter Mbah? Because I've noticed you don't comment anything good in whatever he does. Sullivan didn't change Enugu under one year. Peter Mbah is trying small small. This project is about to kickoff, and you're already saying it's a white elephant project. Please let's hope our state gets better and stop saying things that are not good about it.
