Great video thing that caught my eye was the peters cartridge company boxes of riot ammo and why aren’t we using that today in these trouble times. Now that would be interesting.
I'd personally rather have one in a better caliber than .45 ACP. Yeah I know some will call it blasphemy but to be honest, a 10mm or even a 9mm variant would be preferable not to mention something that doesn't weigh near as much. It's kinda like how I want an m1 carbine in .300 HAM'R.
I'm not sure about Dillinger's Tommy Gun, but the weapons used by Capone's men in the St. Valentine's Day Massacre are in a Sheriff's office in Michigan.
I made a custom stock out of English Walnut years ago for an old 1921 Auto-Ordnance Thompson. I worked for John Martz the Luger carbine maker from Lincoln, California at the time. I believe that the English Walnut stocks are some of the best stock making wood in the world. I just find it very difficult to make a living these days making rifle stocks. I noticed that the Thompson at the back end of this presentation had property ticket pasted on it. I was thinking that's an "E" ticket as in Disneyland E ticket.
Actually, a 3 digit Colt Thompson 1921 in that kind of condition would be at least 6, if not 7 digits. There is a 4 digit for sale for $1,0000,000. And everything below serial number 15,000 is a Colt Thompson Model of 1921.
maybe in the ex-soviet union with all the lend-lease thompsons getting into russia to spelunk in old warehouses is probably not gonna be easy to do, especially these days
But unless those foreign warehouse Tommy’s were registered in the USA prior to May 1986, they can never be owned by civilians. And the registered ones command a premium price. They are however, a blast to shoot if you ever get the chance.
@@tehwin89 Yeah, ive seen a few photos of the ongoing Ukraine/Russia conflict that have shown both sides using the Thompson with the stick magazine, even seen a few STG 44s. Crazy to think that such historic, sought after weapons are laying in the mud of modern day trenches, being held by men and women that would rather be just about anywhere but there.
@@builtdifferent244 Not to mention the Congress Creeps that sponsored the bill banning them. And a certain “pro-gun” organization that turned a blind eye.

there cool thats why
Everyone wanted one because of mobsters and that drum mag lol
MAFIA 😈
The Thompson is gorgeous, but your film clips do not show why everyone wants one. It only shows Thompsons being misused.

I have two 1928s... sadly both are semi auto... still fun...45ACP is in the top ten inventions of all time...my opinion.. maybe not yours...
That guys gonna do 20 years in the can for that crime
Imagine if someone made a Tommy gun that shot shotgun shells?
It is every American’s god given right to own a full auto Tommy Gun
One day I'll have one... one day
Everybody wants one until they they fire one.
Weirdest built gun ever.
How's the front hand grip held on
Through a tang that juts out from under the barrel, which holds the tang in place, which is threaded for a long bolt that holds the grip to it.
“Mr Salieri sends his Regards”
But our shiddy laws keep us from getting one (at least at a reasonable price) T_T

Yuu got enough money for a class 3 license? lol
Look how they massacred my boy😥
Tommy gun is my heart I love it I wish I could get one
I could die a happy man if I could shoot and own a full auto Thompson with a drum magazine
We probably all want this to do Joseph’s iconic ‘tommy gun overdrive’
Probably the best iron sight on a gun I’ve seen
This was beautifully put together just like the gun.
Michael Sullivan in "Road to Perdition" or Leo O'Bannon in "Miller's Crossing" are the ne plus ultra Tommy Gun users.
“Road to Perdition” was a GREAT movie for the Chicago Typewriter!
Absolutely Beautiful !!!
I've often wondered who has john Dillinger's old T-gun 🤔 I bet that's worth some big money today!
read two tommies that were used in the 1933 Kansas City Massacre are in an Indiana museum. Best to Google for more info.
I'm not sure about Dillinger's Tommy Gun, but the weapons used by Capone's men in the St. Valentine's Day Massacre are in a Sheriff's office in Michigan.

It’s beautiful a work of art even
I do really want a airsoft tommy gun and in cw too
Next to no recoil, so happy I got to shoot one.
no recoil coz the thing weighs a tonne lol
Honestly those foregrips look like they break easily
Actually, the foregrip is very sturdy. Aims itself. feels good in the hand.
@@jonrunnells8127 Yee I've never heard any stories of them breaking but just looking at it feels like it would snap right off...

Neat! We have several of Mr. Martz's pieces in this auction as well.
With ammo prices where they are I can only afford one in 22LR.
Look up standard manufacturing gun company. They make a few tommy style guns in 22
Super fun to shoot! Just so heavy, even without drum…
New tommy guns are ultra lightweight though- so fun, fun, fun…🤓🥳
