I love this from so many standpoints! It shows the true story of life on the road: the good, the bad, and, yep, occasionally the ugly! Jason and Sara, you did such a great job on camera! You show "stage presence," poise, and maturity well beyond your years. (And, I say that having had my own video production company and having been on radio and TV - y'all are naturals!) The camera work and editing are fantastic! You show a loving family that cooperates with each other, adjusts to changing circumstances, and loves life. So glad we're neighbors here at Tiger Run! Can't wait to see the next TH-cam! Congratulations on a great start!
Love the bus. I have an H3 45 as well. Mine uses a transmission retarder instead of a jake brake. The jake should take care of most of those descents. I am surprised you seemed to be getting hot brakes. I just really take my time going down. It takes a lot more brakes to slow down from 60 or more than 50. Hope you get the electricity sorted out.
Prevost have a 3 stage engine brake. Our brakes don't even get hot pulling the stacker trailer when coming down Loveland Pass. May be something to get use to using.
I think it is all about that. You live and learn. The Performance mode on the Allison and the 3-stage engine brake make it all work in the hills. Same set up on our H-3 as well and did the 7,200 ft out of Alto, NM earlier last year.
Oh wow, we were just there last week, Breck that is. We stayed in Breck at a house and I found Tiger resort on the map. We have a Foretravel Realm and I told my wife we need to come stay for a month. I’m glad I found your channel, I was wondering how people handle all the snow on top of the rig. Looking forward to watching this and would love to hear the details of camping in the weather!
Hey guys! Glad to see you've started the next stage of your journey. I hope to join you guys and other travelers on the road soon. Good job on the video.
You should be able to raise your bus up on the airbags to clear something like the ice in the future read through the manuals and you’ll see you should have a button on your Air Leveling to allow you to raise it. At least I can in my Monaco dynasty and I would guess that bus will do the same.
Interesting video! Was wondering if that coach has a generator that you could have used instead of the inverter? All coaches have issues, especially on the first trip, and not being that experienced with your new-to-you coach, that doesn't help, am i right? God bless your trip and your ski adventures!
Just curious, on our H3, we have the Detroit 500 with Allison 6 speed with performance mode - which is amazing in the hills and coupled with the engine exhaust brake, it makes managing hills much more efficient and less wear on everything. It burns more gas (a bit) but worth it. Our first time the Ruidoso Motorcoach Ranch near Alto (mountain), NM, we also smoked the tag brakes a bit in the hills - mainly not knowing any better at 7,200+ feet up. Learned and much better thereafter. Even had to get the brakes checked at the park by a mobile unit. Video is great. What was the outcome with the inverters? Trace? Love the paint job. Who did the aftermarket conversion for you. Who was the original converter? Nice upgrade on the front. Safe travels.
Thanks for the kind words. We use the exhaust brake and downshifted coming back down the mountain. We have another video where we actually replaced the inverter in our spot in Breck. My son did most of the work. Nashville Coach did the conversion and it was not a motorhome before we purchased it it was a US bus. It sat on the Mexico/Texas border. So we purchased a shell and had it built out to meet our needs.
I enjoyed the video immensely...could have helped ya with the inverter problem...im sure the charging profile was probably set wrong from the get go...prolly fried the inverter. Lithium only likes 14.2 to 14.6 volts....where AGM's like 13.2.....What an amazing looking H3 congrats!
That freaking thing is two and a half feet taller than mine to the roof. Absolutely gigantic. No wonder fully-loaded they weigh 52,000 lbs. Unbelievable.
Also, if you start smoking the breaks too much you will catch them on fire, right after they fade and you loose all break power. Buy buy baby take the run off ramp if you even know what that is.
This video is not LOVELAND PASS WHAT FRAUD. Vid is I 70 thru Eisenhower Tunnel. Big difference from Loveland Pass which is all switchbacks, no guardrails and 2 lanes.
Your breaks where smoking because you over used them and started down the mountain to fast. Also did you your engine break? I have 2 million miles under my belt and never smoked my breaks weighing 80000 lbs.
This guy knows nothing about the bus he has. The bus does not run off of the airbags. There is an air tank that supplies air to the air bags and splits off into the brakes and all other items that use air. Then he says the bus has a jake brake which is an exhaust brake, the jake brake is an engine brake, a PAC brake is an exhaust brake. Then he says it might overheat going up the mountains. The bus will not overheat, he needs to watch the transmission temperature,
Your statements in the beginning…you smoked the brakes on a previous ride? You were going to fast…period. You NEVER go faster down the hill than you came up. And do you know how to properly use your hydraulic retarder? You never keep it on too long…2 min max…then kick it off…and then back to max. THAT dumps the hot fluid for cool fluid. And your airbag conversations…it has chassis control over the air bag levels. If it takes 30 min to air up your bags, you have air leaks. My H3 has 120 PSI the minute I start it. And 75 mph is too fast…even NOT towing a toad.
@TheShinpaughs I gathered that as a semi truck driver here in England you need the air tanks to fill the air bags by the way loving the bus and your videos thank you
@@bounderchris The music is free? You get what you pay for, I guess. It’s just a bunch of ugly thumping. Gives the sub-woofer a nice workout, though. 👍
What a joke! You left the Larkspur/ Castle Rock area not the Colorado Springs area…. And you never actually went over Loveland Pass!!! How misleading can you get with a video title?!?!?
Thanks for moving over while passing the emergency vehicles at the side of the road…🙄. I am pretty sure it’s the law to change lanes as well as courtesy?

Great Experience for the family. Excited to follow your journey. Thank you for such inspiration!

Hey y’all! Awesome trip! We haven’t made it there in our Bus yet and this is definitely very helpful. Great share. New friend here 👍♥️
Great video! Can't wait to see more!
I was expecting y'all to go over Loveland Pass. The tunnel bypasses the actual pass.
Enjoyed the video, travelling in the family, very nice!

The Prevost does that as well.
What a freaking beautiful bus 🚌 gratulations and take care 🥂
Thank you! What kind of Prevost converter do you own?
Nice video, What year is your Coach?
Way to go! Great video.
I-70 from Denver to Breckenridge runs E to W - and yes it is a steady climb into the mtns. .. and is only about an hour or so distance

This is so great you guys!! So glad you’re still loving this journey and sharing it with us!! God is so good!

Who did the conversion on your approval, most manufacturers brag upon their all Electric coach
Cool video.
Tiger Run is a cool place.

Yep, why I am sticking with AGM for now.
@@imike0367 why? its not hard...3 things to prepare for...charging profile, alternator and cold weather😁
Sweet coach 👍, what year is it?
Great video thank u!
You looked really funny
In this erries protectors,
, but warmer and that is more importent , itsn't?.
Cant wait to see more 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
How was the response from Prevost was it quick and what needed to be done to fix the problem
Invesrters are usually a converter issue and Prevost steers clear of anything that is non-chasis or slides.

If you don’t want to smoke your brakes use the jake brake and the trans to slow you
HOW ABOUT TAKING IT OVER TRAIL RIDGE FROM ESTES PARK
As a former very experienced trucker..make sure your jakes are on full..gear down if your going west..down that big hill..be careful. .damn careful
Thank you. I have learned how to use it and it is such a help. I usually only have to tap the brakes a time or two going down the mountains.
This video is not LOVELAND PASS

A machine is a machine is a machine is a machine 🥂
The only question is, how much money you got to spend?
All electric is great. You should be able to crank your generator and run everything on your coach
Unfortunately the inverter and the Vanner was out. We could not get it to all work together.
Colorado uses Mag-Chloride on the roads.

I was going to say the same thing but you beat me to it.

Spot on. Marathon H3 here as well.
Million dollar coach…or 50k coach ….trouble happens…
I'm going to say this once, but a few times. A machine is a machine is a machine is a machine is a machine.
🥂 Everyone take care and stay safe
yeaaaa
I am not a fan of the all-electric coaches. Not even a lil bit.
@Jason Shinpaugh Team Fantastic! You enjoy! 🙏
You mean air tanks not bags
We have both:)
@TheShinpaughs I gathered that as a semi truck driver here in England you need the air tanks to fill the air bags by the way loving the bus and your videos thank you

Between all the jump cuts and the horrible music you chose to use, I found this really difficult to watch.
Seems great to me, isn’t a tv show production on the jump cuts and the music is free what do you want
I like the music
