      I was always so nervous to go to the gym cause it is very intimidating (at any size) but I feel we don't realize how (once we find the right gym) its like being part of a club, your not going to escape all the crappy people but people are there (mostly) to work on themselves and aren't there to beat people down when they see your on the same journey they are, you might have a different reason for being there but its recognized ☺

From 240+ to 130 at 5’8 it was a drastic change. A younger girl said something about good/bad genes and I was lucky. I showed my before and after and she was floored. I’m a manager at a gym, and workers really only care that you’re putting equipment away, cleaning up after yourself, and making sure you don’t get hurt.
    We see all sorts of people come through those doors. Everyone there wants to change something about themself (more muscles, more toning, losing weight, rehabbing injuries, etc) we just want to see you doing what makes you happy.

    • @anabeladavilla5462
      @anabeladavilla5462 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@psyche8187 locker rooms were an area of our facility we did not allow filming. It often resulted in contacting Campus Police if another Patron complained. We also ask Patrons to speak with Patrons around them BEFORE filming their workout. We have private fitness studios where students can film themselves without disturbing others. The facility I work at is through a college, so we may have different rules regarding privacy. There are minors who attend college classes with us, and they pay for the facility and can use it.

    • @latsnojokelee6434
      @latsnojokelee6434 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most gyms I have belong to prohibit filming inside of locker rooms. And they also asked people not to film in the weight rooms because you’re going to pick up other people behind you and you’re also gonna make a nuisance of yourself by blocking the way to the weights because you don’t want people walking in front of your camera. Honestly, if Your claim is that you’re too nervous to be in the gym during peak times, but you’re pretty comfortable with filming yourself Everywhere, maybe you’re really not that upset about working out during peak times.

It's only the little boys who workout for 2 or 3 months just before summer who try to clown on people for looking a certain way or using certain weights. Effort is effort. And effort alone is rewarding - the results of that effort are just a nice side effect. Find a good gym, they will love you once they see you in there week in and week out putting work in.

    I think what the most important thing to remember when feeling insecure or nervous at the gym is that everyone is there for the same reason: to grow and to improve. I get super excited when I see people making a change and building a better self, we’re rooting for you :))))

Doesn’t matter that you’re plus size, you are still beautiful and worthy and deserve to be there without judgement. How is anyone supposed to get healthier if they are being judged for starting in the first place? I’m SO PROUD of you! I’m a tiny gal and even I feel really anxious going to gyms and feel judged but I know there’s alot of people there willing to help you and teach you how to do things properly and make sure you don’t get hurt on your health journey. So proud of you babes for conquering a fear

You're doing wonderful, don't lose confidence in yourself 💜💜

    The gym is a place of peace and comfort for me. I know what I'm doing (usually) and I know it's working. Eventually it becomes normal to keep going, so I hope you don't give up. But if you don't like it in the gym, it really doesn't matter where you train as long as you keep doing it and you enjoy doing it. Persistence is key.

    You are so beautiful. You have improved the property value of that gym by gracing them with your presence. Your having to feel that you need to be brave in these situations is the problem. Your body is a gift. Your existence is enough. Your personality and willingness to be vulnerable is why I continue to watch you. I’m proud of you and I hope you continue to challenge these fears. I’ve lost 115lbs doing what you’re doing (minus the camera), and I’ll finish with this, the good people out there will not see your size as a measure of your worth. You are a product of your environment and now you get to control and change yourself however you see fit. I almost miss how easy it was to avoid the shallow jerks. Do it for you Queen.

      Btw, I was a professional cave explorer. Even at 235lbs. Your size does not define what you do and your boundaries. Is it easier now? Yeah. But that’s why I lost the weight. Not to please some person.
