Thank you 🙏🏻 i forgot which wires hook onto the alternator and I needed a reference on how to hook the alternator back (cause I forgot) and Im more of a picture person when it comes to hooking electrical stuff back up
Thanks for the information bud! I had someone reach out the other day saying you could pull it from the top with the wheel turned all the way to the left! I’ve never done it that way, and I feel like on the B235 series it’s very cramped, but if others say it’s doable, I’m inclined to believe it. The 235 has that two piece style intake that pushes it back further towards the firewall which is what makes me a little bit doubtful of the clearance. Plus mine has all the braces in the way too. I’m sure on the 204 you have more room to do everything but personally, I get very frustrated when my hands get jammed in tight spaces and I can’t move them so I’d much rather prefer having some extra space. I have pulled starters from the top before, but never an alternator. Either way, appreciate the info!
Thank you for the video. Very informative, especially with the around view of the engine! I it out through the top. For me it made all the difference to remove the bracket holding the idling pulley and the belt tensioner. (Four M8 bolts) With that out of the way, I could effortlessly pull the alternator out through the top. Mine is a B205 engine however in a 2002 Saab 9-3 2.0T.
Thank you so much this was exactly what i needed to finish the job😁👍
Glad this helped! Considering my mission accomplished :)

What a beautiful engine. I own 2 NG 900s and they look nothing like this! 😂
