No, Wesley Strick & Tim Burton's take on Superman was much better than Smith's and anything that has came since (until Gunn's movie anyway). In the comics, Superman didn't even know he was an alien until many years into his Superman career, long into his adulthood, and when he found out, it meant nothing to him beyond the explanation for his abilities. That's how Siegel & Shuster did it. Being an alien is just the excuse for the powers, nothing else. Everything else comes from being Clark Kent, it is Clark Kent that creates not just the Superman persona, costume, S symbol, and morality, but he also creates the mild mannered reporter disguise. Clark with superpowers is the real guy and he creates both the Superman persona & mild mannered reporter disguise. Strick got this absolutely right.

The funniest thing is that the very first time Burton picture that was shown I thought it was Nicholas cage
I still think this would be an amazing movie to see made, even if it is an animated film. Call up Burton & Cage and get it rolling!
better idea, learn to let go.
@@plasticweapon even better idea: don't shit on other people for liking things.
@@MarcelLWalkerbetter idea the truth hurts
@@MarcelLWalker better still, pay attention to what people say and don't put words in their mouths, snowflake.
@@z5am769 the truth (by the numbers) is that haters are clearly outnumbered on this thread. I hope you two joy-killing twerps are stocked up on Tylenol.
Agree about Reeve being the only person to create doubt between Kent & Superman but Brendan Routh also did a great job
He mostly mimicked Reeve but it was solid. I still like that movie alot
At least we got a glimpse of Nick Cage's Superman in the latest flash movie fighting Peters' giant spider.
Imagine if it all worked out and we ended up with a Tim Burton Justice League movie with Keaton & Cage leading the team. Holy heck
Wesley Strick & Tim Burton's take on Superman was much better than Smith's and anything that has came since (until Gunn's movie anyway).
I’d love an overview of the production of X-Men: Dark Phoenix since they reshot SO much of the film, I wonder what it would have been if they kept the original cut
I’ll look into it
Dark Phoenix was hard to watch it's that bad. It's hard to believe they actually made something that bad.
Dark Phoenix is such a garbage movie it made X-Men Wolverine Origins look like a great movie.
@@Bulletsandblockbusters In my head I heard Christian Bales Batman voice at the end of begins.
@@ModeloLoveMeLongTimeI agree I walked out of that film regretting I ever took my kid to see it
@@ModeloLoveMeLongTime Yeah but at least they're really focusing on phoenix force even the interperation is bad,not like Xmen last stand where the dark phoenix just like a doll who not have emotions & the focusing is just for the mutant cured
