    Great video! Is there any way to automatically add a metafield value to all products from a specific vendor? For example, if I want to be able to add the metafield value of Fair-Trade to all products from certain vendors and be able to filter for all products that are Fair-Trade.

    • @RihabSeb
      @RihabSeb  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello, try filtering all products from this brand, and select and bulk edit them. Scrolling in the bulk editor allows you to select and apply a value to all entries. I recommend watching this video to understand more: th-cam.com/video/p4NrbLW0VnU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=y2DHzSV2SHo_U0yd.

    Can I add these metafield options to my navigation menu?

    • @RihabSeb

      Hello..No but you can create collections based on metafields.

  • @JulietPeachCollection

    Question for you. If I want to precheck the in stock availability box in the filter is that possible?

    • @RihabSeb
      @RihabSeb  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is better to ask your theme to stop showing products that are out of stock. But yes I guess you can do that via coding.

    I've always been confused about what the tags in each product actually are used for. Do they help SEO? What is the point of them and should I be using them?

    • @RihabSeb
      @RihabSeb  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! They are good for internal organization. No SEO benefits no! But anyway Shopify last week reintroduced the filters with tags! I didn’t test them yet but I will do soon and sure let you know!

    is it possible to have different filters show up for different collections or pages? for example i don't want to filter men's products on the women's page/ collection

    Hi, Love your videos! Thank you. Would be great to see one on using metafields to specify recommended products. Also on how to 'bundle' products that have multiple skus (so multiple dropdowns selections on product pages).
    Also, wondering with changes you make to themes (like you've done above on the collection pages), with theme updates will you need to 're-do' all these changes? Or is there a way to do theme updates while retaining the changes you've made?

    • @RihabSeb
      @RihabSeb  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Canine! Thank you for the nice feedback ❤️ I am glad you are liking my videos.
      For product recommendations and bundles, I will be publishing a video soon.
      Concerning the upates, it is true that previously we needed to rework everything to have the new version of the theme. but since Shopify online store 2.0, I am noticing that whenever a new version come out, they tell you that they will be keeping all your work and templates. I have updated several themes and everything remained preserved and good to go. Just make sure that the update notice mentions that fact that all will be preserved. Otherwise contact shopify or your theme developers for more help.

    • @RihabSeb

      Did you make sure to add it to your filters list under the search and discovery app?

  • @shoptwoblooms
    @shoptwoblooms 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Started watching your video but confused by the title it says add filters to collection page no app needed. I'm just updated to Impulse 7.1.0 and when I go to my navigation it says filters are not supported with your theme and that I have to install the search and discovery app so this video is about adding an app isn't it? The only filters that show below that part your theme doesn't support is availability and price. So are all the videos I see about filters that show up here on you tube mean that they have all added that search and discovery app? Impulse support tells me that is the only way to add filters as required by Shopify so do all themes need this app?

    • @RihabSeb
      @RihabSeb  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello.. yes, but this is a native free shopify app and it is required now to setup the filters.

    • @shoptwoblooms
      @shoptwoblooms 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RihabSeb Thank you. I was a bit confused because so many videos show their navigation section with all these filters but don't mention that they have installed this search and discovery app. Thought maybe only certain themes had to add it on. Will it slow down my store speed? That is always my issued with adding any apps to my store.

    • @RihabSeb

    This makes no sense to me. Using Testament theme shopify 2.0 - This forces me to create variants. I do not want to create variants. My products are all unique, with no colors or size variants. I need to separate and add search filters by product voltage.
