- Sky News host Rita Panahi slams “climate catastrophist clown” Greta Thunberg after she was arrested during an Extinction Rebellion protest at The Hague.
Local police arrested the climate activist after demonstrators attempted to block a main road.
Officers placed Ms Thunberg on a bus full of other protesters and was promptly driven away.
Ms Thunberg and the other detained demonstrators were held for a short time before being released.
Ms Panahi branded the climate activist a “spoilt little brat” after “grinning like a nincompoop” while being arrested.

That's what usually happens at protests. There's too many people to take in police vehicles, so they use buses. Usually they don't even go to the police station. They just unload the bus somewhere and then go back to pick up more people.

I'm from the Netherlands. Our cops are big old polite softies. They ask "protesters" who hold our highways highjacked for hours politely and repeatetly time and time again to please go away. And then, after many hours and many requests they tell them they will carry them away. If the protesters let themselves be carried away, nothing else happens. But that doesn't generate cool newsworthy pictures. So the protesters struggle and then you get pictures like these.
How many years in jail do they get for each offense? You would think the deterrent would be effective.

@@kurtvanluven9351 Power not too bad, water not a problem in my area (Jhb, Sandton). In some ways life is far better here than in many other parts of the world, which may surprise many. For one thing, because our government and government departments are so inept and inefficient, they are not able to monitor us to the same extent as happens in the UK, USA, Europe, Canada and Australia. We also have a better judicial system in many respects (certainly at our Constitutional Court level) than is the case in UK (Assange!!!) and USA (political persecutions). A further benefit is that woke ideology is unlikely to grab a significant foothold here for some time still, if ever.
