When I was a young teenager in high school our school held dances in the gymnasium frequently. As a young female I would attend those dances and my dad would take me there and drop me off and drive away. Little did I know that my dad and several others would drive around the building and visit with each other and wait outside until the dance was over no matter how cold it was. They would then line up and pick their children up at the door . I did not know of this practice until many years later but you cannot possibly understand the love I felt at getting this knowledge and the appreciation I still carry . When I was a young teenager in high school our school held dances in the gymnasium frequently. As a young female I would attend those dances and my dad would take me there and drop me off and drive away. Little did I know that my dad and several others would drive around the building and visit with each other and wait outside until the dance was over no matter how cold it was. They would then line up and pick their children up at the door . I did not know of this practice until many years later but you cannot possibly understand the love I felt at getting this knowledge and the appreciation I still carry . Every time I think of it a warm feeling of my dad's love comes over me. Although he has been gone many years I will carry this feeling to the Grave. Thank God for my parents
