Thank you, thank you, thank you. You 3 are just the best whether we're watching your podcast or following along on your individual channels. Our prayers include all of you and your families to be safe and stay safe for all the hurricanes, thunderstoms, and any kind of troublesome weather that might come your way. The podcast was a 10 like always. You are the best. We look forward to next week's podcast. Stay well.❤❤❤
Jason don’t get stick on tile pieces. Listen to Al and look into a good set of tiles and get good advice about installation. You won’t regret it. Asheville is the design Mecca for the renovator. Go and learn!
I live in Taranaki New Zealand, my husband is a relief milker every second weekend as it helps pay the mortgage. We get 4 free weaner calves every year. We raise two for ourselves and the other to sell to the meat works. Good money to be had. They are always Jersey cross, its amazing meat. All grass fed, our own hay and silage to get them through winter.
When a tropical depression becomes a Tropical Storm it is named. The first was tropical storm Alberto, then came Hurricane Beryl, then tropical storm Chris, and now Debbie. There's only been 4 so far, but the season doesn't end until October.
Thanks for my Friday fix of my favorite youtubers. Al, I hope you do get some dry weather soon. It has to be hard on the squishy land with heavy animals. Jason, I am looking forward to your next post on the kitchen redo. And Ben, that wood chipper is definitely worth it's weight in gold. I am glad you & Meg and the family will get to have an opportunity to eat out for once. It will be a real treat for Meg I'm sure. Y'all have a Blessed week.
Thanks guys , love your podcast and each individual homestead videos !!!!!! Very interesting and informative every time , top notch !!!!! Thanks for sharing 😊🙏👍❤️
🇦🇺The lowest we have had this winter was 5C for a few night and day times temps as low as 21C for a few days, but mainly a low of 23C. It never cold enough for me, my cloths don’t change between summer and winter. Last Dec we had 34C for 10 days with high humidity, not nice.
lumnahs built the container then the tenting pod and not used for so long, then the cows and cross country skis. plan for winter but doesnt get enough snow
Jason, good going on the kitchen. I'm also putting engineered hardwood in my kitchen. Mine has to be floating because I live in a mobile home. Good to know about the refinishing. The yellowing on your old floors is because the polyurethane coating yellows over time. Great going and good luck on the rest!
Ben, you might consider excavating a big chunk of that squishy soil to somewhere worthwhile and digging yourself a pond to improve the drainage around it.
Hey guys! Commenting from the east coast of NC. We had 14 plus inches of rain from Debby in two days. Several tornadoes...lots of flooding, and closed roads.
Y'all are just so fun to listen to shooting the breeze, and you also have the most creative spouses. I've learned so much from all 6 of you it blows my mind,I grew up the way y'all live now but poor lol.I know now why my mother was always so stinking tired.so much work. You youngens make it look fun.I hope the people in your lives tell y'all just how proud they are to see you work so hard for your family. Stay safe please
Ben with all your pork and deer supplies you need less chickens and that is for the clinics to teach and give a few away to the people attending plus friends.
What if you put the dishwasher in the mudroom for use during processing of poultry and garden produce. It may help at times when you have a bazillion things to do.
You recorded before Thurs obviously. Have had rain squalls and tornado warnings since late Wednesday. I am in Virginia about 75 miles from NC border along 95.And Jason I watched you on Sow the Land using your umbrella hat.
Al, you are looking rested and handsome today! Jason your kitchen is looking awesome! Ben I get where you are coming from. Love to see family but when you have a boat load of things to get done it is hard. With that said, why in the world would you make a track in your woods vs working on your home?
I’m in Lucama nc /wilson nc same road as the Springfield middle school was destroyed by the Ef3 tornado came through. It was so bad. I’m am literally 2 miles from that school. We had power outage from it and lots of flooding. Pray you all done well in the storm.
I love your podcast and you 3 lads are 1000% more interesting that any Hollywood star. I am always hanging out for your podcasts. Plus your own channels. Blessings from Australia 🌏🦘❤
Actually all of this does make sense. The glaciers which took hundreds of years to form are now melting. Its called the water cycle and along with everything else comes the change in Windstreams. They're saying that tornadoes will start moving more Northern as well. I'm in northwestern Ohio and we have had a very roller coaster type season. Spats of more rain, variant temperatures from cooler to hotter and some really windy days. Over the last few years are winters have gotten much milder. It's just about adjusting to the new ways that are bound to happen. I look at the climate change maps and the water distribution maps. Seems to me they're pretty much on target. I've got four rain barrels, looking to get two more. I would say catch all you can. You never know when the winds will change are the dryer days will come.
Why don't you hook up that dishwasher outside like down at the barn or wherever you butcher animals so that you can clean/sterilize equipment and tools used for butchering without having to drag it up to the house? They name the storms when they are still out to sea and not all hit land and some don't make it to hurricane status so we don't always hear much about them. Actually, the sheep that are going to be cooked at the event have already been butchered and are in process of being aged right now. I'm assuming any used in the classes will head to freezer camp.
If you guys would like to blow the audience out of the water invite your wives just one week and have them share the most important event of their year PLEASE a very dedicated watcher.
I think youve got a great idea, even one of the kidlets as well as moms, every so often they are a team, and all experience differently in every situation, another old time watcher here, when Meg was still chasing her chickens in her back yard living city life! ❤
Superb idea. They can discuss meal plans....home schooling. Challenges of caring for the family (cooking, difficulties faced), managing the finances for the home...menus @@marcyhannah4812
I have a question for you all does your children have parts of public school they miss or are they more happy being home schooled I know they don’t miss the drama but it’s just something popped in my head because my boys couldn’t wait to go back to school after summer break then that wore off after the first month
If you go back in time of the hurricanes they have named hurricanes more than the ones with the same name my name is Bonnie and their name 2 or 3 album
Shop Wives Talk. Im thinking your audience includes lots of wives so is this a sign? Strengthen the wives who carry their families on the homestead. Just my thoughts.
Jason, I admire your umbrella hat from the Debby update video.
I think you should have done the dishwasher Jason!
I love ALL Homestead Shop Talk Podcast videos!
So do I... Its nice to see these men just chatting amonst themselves.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Need to figure out how to send all that rain to the dry states 😊
Another great chat. 3 very different homesteads, lots of information. Once more an enjoyable listen. ❤❤🌻🌻

Great show guys. I listen on Spotify on my way up to our property and comment on You Tube.
Good work young men.
Fun podcast guys, keep dry.
Love how Ben talked about his pigs. Cute. They have to have some kinda smarts.
Yes, Ben, we'd love to be given a chance to watch you and the gang clear the woods and wood chipping:(
Jason your doing great, how about building cabinets!
yea you guys are awesome.

If you take it to the butcher are you guaranteed to get back your own meat?
Good morning, Jason, Ben, and Al. Have a great weekend.
I really love getting a little more in depth by listening to these videos. Thanks for these guys!
Ben, you might consider excavating a big chunk of that squishy soil to somewhere worthwhile and digging yourself a pond to improve the drainage around it.
You guys are great!💖
Enjoyed your video. ❤
My little town got 3 ft of water in it . Wasn't as bad as Mathew or Florence. I'm doggy but ok.

Hi every one. From Ontario Canada I feel bad my name is Deborah .
Good morning guys!
What if you put the dishwasher in the mudroom for use during processing of poultry and garden produce. It may help at times when you have a bazillion things to do.
Came right over my house in South Georgia not a big deal.
@Ben, cherry wood is like gold around us! Smoke salmon with cherry!!! Bacon would be fantastic!!!
I love watching you guys on every Friday
There is no such thing as having time to be bored on a farm. Plenty of work to be done from early morning to sundown. 😮 😅
My Friday go-to! Morning guys.
Pigitentiary!!! Love it
Hey guys
Happy Friday 🎉
Thank you for information
Thanks for having me guys

Yes, I was going to tease Ben that he got it wrong again. Even with all the rain, heat, I truly admire Jason and Als work ethics.
Al, you are looking rested and handsome today! Jason your kitchen is looking awesome! Ben I get where you are coming from. Sounds like a good investment, IBC totes and culverts… be safe and have a great weekend 😎👍

You got some rain!😊
I think that in the 70’s they glued everything down. I swear some of the crap I’ve torn out of my house would’ve survived a hurricane.
Can I get my grass cut. It’s getting tall!
Al feels the same way you do about cherry about pellets. He smokes with pellets.
I love your podcast and you 3 lads are 1000% more interesting that any Hollywood star. I am always hanging out for your podcasts. Plus your own channels. Blessings from Australia 🌏🦘❤

You asked for the ideas!
I had white turkeys that would roost on the gate but always go back in the pen in the morning. Never flew over and be free.
You should put the dishwasher in the island, Jason. Just a thought.
The best part of Louisiana is the buyeau south of New Orleans.
Bayou not buyeau

I always have a hard time with that spelling.
I need to go down there and write about the area to cement the spelling in my brain.
THE FIRST STORM: Alberto
THE SECOND STORM: Chris
I guess those boys were the cool quiet storms.
Maybe Jason and Al should help Ben with addition.
So quick question, Jason and Ben when will y'all be saving a guilt and bore to see what they taste like
Ben, escaped animals are the best tasting! - Mike
You will get the rain. I am from the future.
😂

My husband painted our house in Phoenix. He ended up with paint on his teeth. 😂
There was hurricane Chris July 30- August 11 minor storm surge to North Carolina.
I’m curious. What weather apps to you use and how reliable are they?
The beef Jason got was from a herd of Gelbvieh. -Mike
Would you homesteaders rather have rain or snow
They get paid a lot to come up with those names 😮

Agreed, come on guys get it done
Events, recipes and embarrassing stories about you guys 🤣🤣🤣
I agree! Would love to see the girls - holiday on the home stead might be a fun topic! Or January - year in review - wife’s edition!

Well they should give the storms names, cuz they work hard to make them. HAARP has been very busy.
