Have always been interested in your JQ Car and absolutely enjoy listening and learning from your videos. I recently got back into 8th Scale racing with an EBuggy. I'm in the NW United States and am definitely interested in the Mayako membership and EBuggy when available. Thank you for continuing to share and build a great RC Community!
Where in the NW, I am about 45m south of Seattle and there are 0 tracks around here but I also run Nitro. There is one not to far from me but they don't allow Nitro, which is dumb because from what I have seen 1/8 E Buggy's tear up the track just as much.

Sounds like it's a good deal for someone that buys two cars every year. The membership program might be more attractive if membership renewal was available at a discount. I think your philosophy of building a community for your brand is a great idea. Ryan Dunfords build videos were a great help when I built my first 1:8 scale rc's, 8ight XE elite and 8ight XTE. Unfortunately TLR doesn't employ anyone to keep their website up to date.

Hi, I just found your channel. You seem to be oriented to 1/8th scale off-racing. I am not sure how you are related to Mayako (sponsor or business relations) but from what I understood people can't buy the kit because they need to pay for a membership so people understandably rebel. IMO the best solution is to remove the membership obligation and try to market clearly the advantages of the member status. If the car is good, people will join the membership for sure. From what I have seen so far, being a member just allows you to communicate with other people on Discord and have a small discount. You can communicate with people at the track with other fast racers and the feedback will be much more accurate. Also there are many FB groups for each brand where the communication is quite fast. This is my honest, neutral opinion.
You can go on mayako youtube channel and find all the information. People are already joining as members. The whole point is the people with the right attitude and mindset join.

I think the membership program is good. Also if you feel like you don't get anything from it, you still don't loose anything. Cars cost about 650 euros anyway.

What I was thinking was the following: Yes, this car has these issues, but what you do to fix it in its current platform status. (i.e. Weird relationship with apposing types of scrub front to rear) But, (I was thinking about you making a video like) if you were Phend's mechanic, what would you change to make it better. Kinda what you did with the Kyosho balls thing and Maifield's Mugen over rotation on exit issues. Thanks for the videos and the super responsive replies to comments! Keep up the good work!

He has a lot of experience in this field, im happy he's doing something big with this new (Game Changer) as someone called it. I own the TLR car. I can from Mugen. I had to adjust the shit outta the way I drive the car. Worked out great, and I'm way faster with the TLR, but if you over drive it, that front end will grab and send you flipping. I do agree that at this point, Phend no change for car. Car change for Phend.
Watch my carb video. Your linkage is probably adjusted wrong so carb closes more when you brake, and your tune is probably as messed up as Charlie Sheen after a particularly good week out.

I agree that Dakotah's driving style has always been amped up to 11, which would explain why he typically qualifies so well. Likewise, a lot of people have used his setups, only to complain that they can't even get the car around the track... Proof-positive that setups are not "one for all". Sure, you can start with a decent base that might be "close", but base setups are made to be tweaked so that it can better suit your style. For what it's worth, Dakotah has also had his share of bad luck over the years. I remember when he had a rough patch where he suffered from random Flameouts quite a bit. After seeing a few of your vids, I have to say that I can appreciate the fact that you speak your mind. It may not be popular all the time, but if it's just your truly honest opinions, no reason to hate. If you don't like it, just agree to disagree, and move on - no need to hate. 🙂
Yeah Phend had allot of times he was the fastest, TQed, and runs good in theain, but doesn't win. He has been winning some pretty big races in 2022 though
Reminds of that beta testing games where you buy a game for a fraction of the price and if it sticks good, if not well sucks to be you. This is different though. You pay almost full price to TEST a prototype, which might look completelly different when in retail. TBH The most recent JQ is a very good car, maybe some durability issues but honestly no more than an AE or TLR. But at least it drives well. Some of the new cars out there are tailored for the Pros only

Yes Mayako already has 17 members in Aus/NZ, 2 importers and in addition to them 2 service centers. So there will be plenty of support.

You should just go for the Mayako. But if you insist, you can get the BE. You will have spare parts available. Most Mayako parts wont work.

TBH The most recent JQ is a very good car, maybe some durability issues but honestly no more than an AE or TLR. But at least it drives well. Some of the new cars out there are tailored for the Pros only

Hope you don't get phended by this, but that is pretty rude crapping on Dakota. Met him last week and he is a great down to earth low key guy. I have enjoyed your other videos that talked about racing instead of people, but I understand what the guys were saying JQ is Jq worst enemy. Your tone has sucked recently on the podcasts and tube and its hard to listen too. I bought your book, but won't buy anything else unless you show more tact.
