- Escape Simulator is a co-op game in which you and your friends work together to solve a series of puzzles and escape a locked room. Will Andy, Jane and Mike have the puzzle smarts to make it out of the old timey Brain Checkup room alive? Or will they be decapitated by gruesome Saw-style traps, which is we assume what happens if you run out of time? There is but one way to find out.

Favourite part of today, Mike and Andy figuring out the books whilst in the background hearing Jane smashing the window and being so proud 😂😂
She freed the teapot, after all...
Especially since she had already solved them, but didn't have all of the books so couldn't get the code, and got bored and started smashing windows.
Well she did save all their lives and gave them extra time when the neurotoxin gas dispersed. It was Jane's breaking of the windows that lessened its immediately lethality since the room was now ventilated somewhat.
She did seem very proud of her escape angle. As doomed as it was. I am happy they got the chance to complete the room despite going overtime.
😂 That was some funny goodness all right.
As a escape room game master Jane's thought process is why we explain the rules twice
And even then there's the people saying "I don't get what we're doing..."
To be fair a friend insisted on striping down a mannequin which was holding a "please do not strip the mannequin" because the sign jut HAS to be a clue, right ?! (it wan't, the GM told us on speaker)
@@simtbotw I've had people take back the finished clues and other useless items because "they must mean something" otherwise I wouldn't have taken them. It was to help them concentrate.

Jane is the real MVP. Without her breaking the windows, the nerve toxin would have got you all.
Jane was so close to figuring out the books like 10 minutes before the boys but then got distracted and started breaking windows lol

I would love to see: A. Episode 2 of this or B. Luke & Ellen have a go too

I like how Jane and Andy had avatars that looked like them then Mike was some random guy.
Pretty standard for Mike. At least his avatar had glasses to give a suggestion of representing him.
Andy & Jane: Meticulous adjustment of clothing and hair features.
Mike: Scroll through all the pre-set characters and stop on the first short-haired bespectacled guy.
Lol I love Jane's escape room technique. Some may say she wasn't taking the game serious but I'd say she was the most emerged in the scenario of the three.
Ah, it's a murder mystery.
The mystery is "How do we get to murder Mike?"
Also I love how Jane had entirely figured out what to do with the Wells Books when she had two of them, but got so sidetracked and bored once Mike found the other two books that she just smashed windows for two minutes instead of opening the lock. So many jokes about the atention span of kids these days spring to mind ...
This only feels natural after all the talk of escape rooms on the Oxventure podcast.

Two minutes in I realised I had to play it and am pausing too!
Well they only just about managed to struggle through what i guess is the first room (bookpuzzles and frenology) and nothing more

I will finally realise my misanthropic dream of solving a escape room without people panicking, shouting and babbling incoherently until the countdown ends.

That’s nice to have a solo option and not have to partner up if we don’t want to.
Sometimes I find two or more people fun in activities, sometimes it’s more frustrating than fun. Depends.
Heck, I may have to do a solo one IRL. I really want to do an escape room but haven’t had any takers for partners so far.

I’ll admit that I was not expecting Jane to be the one to go a little bit Mike, though.
I love how cutely nerdy Escape Mike's avatar is. XD And yes, I figured the number of books inside each copy of Moreau was the key to the lock -- very satisfying when you guys figured it out too! XD

Glad to know I’m not the only one to find escape rooms are more chaotic with other people.
Yeah, things take much longer when you've got the pieces to half of a code and someone else's picked up the other half and neither of you know they're the solution to the same puzzle

The Island of Dr. Moreau puzzle drove me insane! I got it immediately after you found the second 2 and was internally screaming you put the combination in! Otherwise loved the video!

I prefer to believe that Jane's "Let me out! Let me out! Let me out ! Let me out!" is a Simpsons reference to Marge's insistence that she be allowed to deplane a passenger jet.

The fact that the book puzzle stumped them for so long is honestly agonizing xDD
Nice way to think Jane…the logic says the number on the spine is the order in which to read them and the number of books inside is the real code…at least that’s my first guess 😅🧐😂
Please play more of this! There are loads of differently themed escape rooms to try out.
The key is in Mike's mind palace! 🔑🧠 Feels like escape rooms are everywhere now... I cannot escape from them!

My highlight was Jane being all happy after smashing that final piece of glass

I see the devs managed to recreate the classic Oxboxtra impromptu dance party. sweet.
I have an idea for a new attraction: it’s called a mess room. Guests come in and just throw stuff around. No puzzles.
I think that is genuinely a great idea. 🙂 I think someone else thought similar to you: at a escape room place in my city, they have a “Break Room”, set up for people to just smash things.
When I called for info on escape rooms, an employee told me about it, also mentioning it was out of commission because someone BROKE the Break room, putting a hole in the wall!
PS - Sorry if you already knew and were being cleverly ironic/sarcastic. I find it quite hard to tell with just words on a screen.

I honestly thought Andy's character wasn't wearing anything below the waist to start with, then realised the trousers were just cream coloured.

My thing with escape rooms is that I’m neurodivergent enough to quickly figure out what the puzzle is … but not intelligent enough to be able to follow through to find the answers 😂😂
Also Jane’s tactics are great just not recommended 😂😂

um... frustration? some sort of frustration.
My pal David once thought he'd defeated a safe one but actually just broke through a wall, the people who'd designed it looked very surprised 😅
Imagine going to an escape room and breaking the window. I've had a group do nearly that in one of our runs.
Wow! 😲 Apparently, one of the escape room places near me offers a “Break Room” besides the regular escape rooms where you have things set up for you to smash!
I remember it because when I was talking with a worker on the phone to get info on the place and they told me someone had put a hole in the Break Room wall.
I kind of found that detail unexpectedly amusing (not meaning to be insensitive for the people dealing with that, though).
From 11:25 to 15:50 I was practically screaming at the screen for them to do what they finally did!!

been playing this the last few nights with a friend. We did the Egypt rooms and the the space station set. And let me tell you, the space station felts like some steaming sloppy ankle deep bull sheep.
And with a single video, Outside Xbox were banned from every escape room in the UK.
