Porting a fiesta st manifold for a s280 turbo

  • So with my s280 turbo on order from h sport performance i thought id make a start porting the standard fiesta st180 manifold.

    My s280 just arrived today going straight from stock to stage 3 so it should be a big change for what I'm used to. Taking it up to Ross at laird performance for mapping.

    Hi Steve, I have recently contacted H-Sport performance to get me setup stage 3 with S280 and TRS mapping. They were super helpful and gave me a great quote. Can't wait to get fitted now. Look forward to any future vids.

    Funny that this is uploaded the same day my turbo is off and the fiesta is in pieces! Shame I’m only doing a replacement job and not an upgrade! Looking forward to how much power you’ll be making next!

    And thx for the info that the ports on the head are already big enough. I was wondering how much porting is needed after I saw ported manifolds for sale.

    Good video steve , i can confirm that the s280 turbo hole is 100% 37mm as i took me around 3 months to get the answer as iam building my tubular manifold👍

    Steve I remember years ago, on my Ford Sierra, claimed 10bhp gain for air filter, 10bhp gain for silencer, 10bhp gain for best spark plugs, 10bhp gain for fuel additive, the car should have ended up with 200bhp (1.6litre)...........with everything I added.........Lol

    I fitted a vt330r on sat just gone ...my manifold where crush gasket goes was like 1 mm all way round ....so I didn.t bother porting it

      I don't think it's a necessary job but I have the time and tools so thought why not waste a few hours 😅

    Hi Steve, I have had H Sport Performance Map my ST180 to TRS stage two and also looking to go down the stage 3 route. did you consider the VT330R Turbo? why did you go for the S280 & also are you fitting the turbo yourself or are the boys at H Sport doing it? Many thanks

      I'm fitting it myself. The s280 is the best value for money I think at the moment and trs is the best mapping money can buy imo.

      No their a great hybrid but many reports of high egt on track and they then lose power. But for road use their apparently perfect.

    Been looking for a bigger turbo myself but can't seem to choose
