Chamallow in England it’s very expensive (although Welsh and Scottish students get free Uni in their own countries). Tuition is £9250 a year plus many students have to take out a maintenance loan to pay for rent/food etc. You don’t have to pay it off until you’re earning over a certain amount but it’s still a lot. I come from a low income family so get the highest maintenance loan and will have been at uni for four years once I graduate so I’m gonna be about £60-£70k in debt 🥴

For science students I would recommend doing at least some easy calculations/questions to get into it again and to see whether you really know everything from the last year that you need. It helped me so much to actually catch up on stuff I did not need for exams so never really bothered learning.

It's the perfect moment to write my favourite quote from my grandma : "enjoy beeing a student, don't mind the workload and the long nights, it's the most freedom you will have in life! You can wake up every morning and do what you want to do and eat what you want to eat and go to sleep when you want to sleep" usually followed by a "without having a husband and kids needing attention" and my grandpa complaining (very freely translated from french)
I wish I had like an actual campus to go to... I already live in my University's city, because I fully moved there years ago) and it's in the middle of downtown so it's mostly just buildings in between shops, so no actual proper campus (there is one, but it's inside, underground, connected to the metro/subway/underground.) So basically, nothing will change, really, when I start school :( It'll just be online classes at my house... Also, it is a new program, so I don't know anybody which sucks when added to the fact that there won't be any on-campus-meetings... It'll just be like right now, but with work to do... 🤷🏻♀️

Stop comparing yourself to anyone (especially people on TH-cam). They edit the bad parts out. We live out bad parts every day. Thinking so negatively is not good for you. If you work hard, you can achieve great things. Everyone is just on a different speed. ♥ From an older student.

i've been chucked into self-isolation for 2 weeks on top of more online learning for 6 weeks (i live in Australia), so I've been holed up in my room without an ability to see my family in the same house! I've been finding it hard to study with mocks in a month and a half yet your content really is one of the most exciting parts of my week. i don't even know if my real exams in october will even happen (i do IB), so your videos give me so much motivation to study hard! thank you so much

I’m lucky that I’m attending a uni in my city, so I’m living in the same apartment I’ve been in for the last 4 years, but these are SUCH good tips!! I think the only one I’d add is for students going back to live in dormitories to make sure they check their uni’s What to Bring list to make sure they’re not planning on bringing something that isn’t allowed (my undergrad uni wouldn’t let us have plants???)
I started at Exeter Uni 10 years ago and loved my time there so much that I now work there! Another place worth a visit from Exeter is Dawlish, it's the same distance (ish) away as Exmouth just in the other direction. Hope your 2nd year goes smoothly :)

All post-secondary classes this semester are online where I’m from (excluding labs and practicums). It’s my last semester after 7 years as an undergrad so I’m sad I won’t be finishing off on campus.
I’ve never been a dormer - I’m lucky that I live in the same city as my Uni and my mom works there so I can visit. It’ll just be different doing all my classes from my room.
