I started last week and it’s been good so far, I want to be a biology teacher at a special high school, since I’m autistic and I want to improve the high school experience for teens like me. I managed to get 100% on today’s practice test so the ravenclaw/slytherin in me was very pleased. Can’t wait to see what your dorm room (I think) looks like.

im home schooled but i actually really enjoy it the teachers are really nice and studying from the comfort of my room is amazing i also really like to watch shows in between classes i also love setting up my desk and i do have friends if youre wondering and overall a really fun experience and though when i did attend school in person i did really enjoy it i think i actually prefer being home schooled it doesnt take away from the productivity or learning fun

hey Ruby, you can get detachable bike lights you can clip onto your bike --- please find a way of fixing a light onto the back of the bike somewhere!! as someone who cycles a lot, it's so important that cars can see you from behind if you're cycling on busy streets! good luck with the new academic year :) x

When I moved to another city for university, I literally moved to another city. My parents straight supressed my room (it became a blend room) and I know SO many other french students who experienced the same. Like, we just.. lived by our own somewhere else, but there was no "coming back" and we took everything we owned with us. I used to come back one weekend every 3 months to see family, but even for the holidays, my real place/home was my student accomodation. I feel it's more or less the same in Germany where I lived for 1 year. It seems so different in the UK and in the US.
I like the bringing recreational books! I remember when I started university I left all mine at home because everyone was saying I wouldn't have time to read. I've since found having at least a couple of recreational books is a good idea; they give me something to do in the moments between studying and while waiting for dinner. I'd also wish to thank you for introducing me to my favourite book, Terms and Conditions! It has really started a passion for the history of education for me, and I'm currently reading Work and Play in Girls Schools, which is a set of essays on how girls were being educated in the late Victorian period, by Dorthea Beale!
Ah loved this! It’s got me so excited to move to uni next week. Also for your bucket list you should definitely head to a tor on Dartmoor and I feel like you would love a day trip to totnes. On Fridays and Saturdays they have a market on😊

Just in case you don't know it - avoid putting hot things into silicone boxes or heating them in a microwave. When I was at the uni I did it and the food had a funny taste - probably not a good thing :)

those glasses look really useful but for anyone who can’t afford them but gets bothered by blue light there’s an app called flux that changes the blue light on your laptop/iphone with a yellow/orange tinged light. it’s really good, and it stops you getting blue light insomnia/headaches!
