- From past to present, every story contains morals. And every story is influenced by these morals, effectively becoming extensions of the greater ideals of good and evil. This is a video tribute to things I've come to learn, myself.

I really love this video showing the morals that we learned are something more deeper in the media we watch.
Absolutely, thank you, Chaotic Evil Kirby icon 😅
For real though, media doesn't get "that deep" most of the time, but these moral factors become relevant at a personal viewing level. Timeless principles shown across time and different mediums.
Truly very gold I found in my feed, I appreciate the time you made somewhat an essay of your best understanding in regards to Morality. It gave a broader perspective on which to look into narratives in movies and games. Also a thing to considered on how to make a character motivation realistic and enticing.
I appreciate your thoughts and compliments! I did my best, especially with something I've come to unpack over time. That perspective is something I want to share and hopefully others can learn something or two for themselves as well!
Morality is that core of everything, eh? Can't really understand something if there's not a dose of humanity in it somewhere. "Grounding" these types of settings and characters helps them become more memorable.
Again, I appreciate the comment and feedback.
nice
Thank you 😁
What about the ongoing arguement of an anti hero using malicious techniques as a means to create a necessary outcome that will benefit all of mankind.
A combination of "Every Villian is the hero of their own story" with the sense of fufilling "The Greater Good"
EDIT: Sorry for the typos. Typing in a rush.
That's a good point. I generally covered morality across storytelling as a whole.
With that one, it comes down to their personal morality at that point, since it's riding a fine line between "anti-hero" and "well-intentioned extremist", the latter of which often end up becoming villains once they lose control. And control, self-restraint if you may, is a major factor in determining how the rest of their story pans out.
Consider the setting too: is what they're doing actually gonna work out in the long run or is it just shortsighted solutions to a cancerous problem?
I think of guys like the Punisher from Marvel and Light Yagami from Death Note in that regard. Since they both had good backgrounds before becoming cold-blooded individuals.
