The closest brown one I have right now would be when I do the "what color is Muk?" video and I try to compare my custom brown to all of the pinks and purples in my collection. But I need to do a neutral comparison.
This was fun… I didn’t realize you made so many of the swatched videos. I know I’ve seen most or all of them. It’s the best way to experience how each dye color behaves. Getting the blended dye colors to work together aesthetically is a challenge…but a fun challenge. Using yarn as a canvas to experiment with color theory is a subject in and of itself. I’d love to see you do a deep dive into the properties of dyes vs pigments… like comparing acid dye colors with natural pigments. 👍🏻🌈❤️🧶
OOo that would be very interesting, and challenging! I'll have to think about how I might do something like that. A long time ago I did some swatching livestreams where I featured multiple colors, and then sometimes I will swatch colors when I'm debating on what I want to use. I'm working my way through the rainbow with color families across brands.
I always learn so much from your videos! I’ve been dipping my toes into dyeing yarn. Im going to try the dry powder method instead of liquid and see where it goes. Thank you and hope you are having a Happy New Year!🎊
Happy new year! Make sure that you add the powder a little at a time, if you add two much at once it can clump and then be harder to dissolve later on (which can be a bit of a pain.) Have fun!
Oh boy! I’ve been wanting to figure out how to do just the right combination to get a cinnamon-ish brown and this video is a HUGE help. Many, many thanks for taking the time. Perfect post!🧶🫶🏼
Love seeing these all in one place! Thank you!
Thank you! I'm glad to finally make this video
I looooove this video!! It will clearly become my favourite reference point. ♥️ Thanks Rebecca!!!
You're so welcome!
Thank you for putting all of these together in one video! Can’t wait to see the color you do next. I am hoping for brown or gray.

Wow....great idea! Very helpful. :)
Glad it was helpful!
I miss Hanukkah.
Me too, although I'll admit that I'm still very tired from the big editing push!
