An unedited look at thunderstorms passing over the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the 7th December 2014. Many thunderstorms passed over the Sydney CBD and the greater state - it was an awesome sight!

This storm played havoc with the V8 Supercars finale at Sydney Olympic Park. Race had to be abandoned because there was simply too much rain and lightning in the area.

You guys are lucky! Melbourne's been very boring over the past days, with only 2 actual thunderstorms recorded, one at 9 pm, and one at 4 am. I've been checking the radar, and I've seen lots of thunderstorms pass through the Sydney CBD.

I'm a Brit so I can't comment too much, but I have read elsewhere Sydney just kept getting spanked that week. Same pattern. Sunny start, hot and humid, clouding over in the afternoon and then bang, huge storms.
Certainly sounded lively enough.
