@jaco5187 On a BASE jump, the parachute must open at about half the airspeed of a similar skydive, and more quickly (in a shorter distance fallen). Standard skydiving parachute systems are not designed for this situation.

Legend. I don't know anyone who's BASE jumped, I've never even sky dived, but the whole practice of BASE jumping is mad enticing.

@jaco5187 no he used his reserve on the base jump, and reserves open with a ripcord so he base jumped with a ripcord
