    for anyone at Gymea, for one of the peel paragraphs, the point can be creative stories/writing can make your imagination work and picture things, her example is that she read the book pride and prejudice, but saw the movie and thought one of characters Mr darcy looked nothing like how she imagined it while reading the book. good luck all

    The strangest thing just happened. I watched this video last night and I really enjoyed it. I had never heard of the book she was talking about nor the author. Fast forward a few hours and the author of the book, Erin Carle, just died. What a strange coincidence.

    Just wish that we got our own metadata collected returned to us. It's one thing to take the data, it's quite another to not show it to us too.

    Nice talk but I guess looking at a camp fire because it's a good story is kind of a wrong interpretation of the real psychology behind it.

    LOL, as if STEM students don't have soft skills. Most communication majors can't even write a paper let along speak effectively. They would die in a STEM course. Communication degrees are like the Dunning-Krueger of degrees. You know who won't be replaced by robots in the near future? Your plumber. You know who will be? Your HR position.

    • @eggpaint2087
      @eggpaint2087 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      wait why wouldnt jobs like plumbing be replaced by a machine? just asking, not trying to be antagonistic or anything! :D

  • @sleati4911
    @sleati4911 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hmmm...interesting...never equated comms peeps with grunty data analysis and insights...economics did it by introducing statistics and basic algebra but still a social science subject... comms?...nope...can't see it unless the undergrad programme has an optimal mix of "stem" subjects. The thought of comms peeps lecturing us on quants and quals doesn't work for purist
