I too like the 245a and the 306a.... personally I just love the old saws.... but I have to agree... technology has come a long way since those models. My 245a has an NOS 16 inch bar... and it pulls that 16 inch fantastic.... Personally, I think that's the ideal size. Although Leatherface had a 17 inch inch hard nose...those seem hard to find... I was lucky to get a 16 inch roller nose that was new old stock... and it's fantastic. I have no desire to put a bigger bar on it... its the perfect sized bar for that saw. I've got a 440, 660, 460... for the big stuff but man you put that 16 inch 17 inch bar on a 245 and it's the perfect combo for that saw.

Ya know...I've been thinking this, and it is my goal to produce the absolute best chainsaw videos out there. Just waiting on everyone to figure it out. Taking a lot longer than I had figured. Sooooo many people don't even know my videos exist. It's weird. But it's starting to get to me. Not in the way you might think though. I'm jealous. Jealous that y'all are getting so much great content. And all I get is boring ass stuff like Outdoors with the Morgans. I mean, I watch their stuff, as well as most of the other big names, but damn...I want to be entertained too. Sadly, my own channel is my favorite chainsaw channel! I want to find some really good content, and it sucks that there really is only...me. everyone else is exactly the same thing. Charlie is doing good, at least I get to learn something with his channel. But fun stuff...as far as I can tell, I'm the ONLY name in the game for actually entertaining chainsaw content. Let me know if you find someone else doing fun stuff.

He has a video where's he's dropping a monster burned out hollow Pine and right as it drops a huge California Brown Bear comes outta the stump.... UNHARMED. Once in a lifetime time shot/footage.

I have an 038 magnum I love that thing. To me doesn't compare to my 372. My 038 now lives with a lewis winch and it seems to love it's new life.
