Thank you for sharing. My 91 year old father has lived with us since my mom passed away 9 years ago. His dementia set in about 3 years ago. So many times I end up in tears. Your videos have helped my view his dementia and this time together through a new lens. Thank you ❤
He’s deserves more respect and free range to get snacks. Danielle is a lazy ass cook. Salad every night “with protein “ as she now says. Never, not a single time, does anyone sit at the table with Ed while he eats. People send him candy and snacks but they are not given to him. He’s earned the right to eat whatever and whenever he wants to eat. My dad wanted Pepperidge Farms cookies everyday, and he ate them everyday as well as his meals. It’s the small things to look forward to at Ed’s age. Guilt is a terrible thing to live with.🙏

It's not our place to micromanage or knitpick their lives together. Taking care of an elderly parent is difficult even under the best of circumstances. Please show them some grace. The glass may not be 100% full, but it's pretty close to it.

I see his decline. We knew it was going to progress, but I’ve learned so much by watching Grandpa. You are an excellent example for helping others care for their elderly. His brain has clarity some days and he’s off the charts lost others. The Brain is a very complex organ. His stress over the years has really taken its toll in his elder years. He has had a full life though, that you all can feel blessed with that knowledge. One thing for sure his love for his family has been brought full circle.

Whatever happened with dan's Heart had nothing to do with his father. He was not living with him, As Dan explained himself, he was living A very unhealthy lifestyle A lot of partying a lot of drinking a lot of bad food.. His father lived a very healthy lifestyle In the same way Dan's older brother Dave. Who is also a doctor Lives an incredibly healthy life. Looks amazing He is the image of Ed... So whatever happened to Dan And he should have explained that again. It was due to Making very bad life choices.
Dan Ed pays you a great compliment thinking you are his brother. He misses his company and loved him unconditionally. Its a short jump to you being his brother. WHAT A SON.

Mine is, too. She's been under hospice care for 18 months, is bedfast, has to be spoonfed, is double incontinent and sleeps at least 23 hours a day. It hurts me to see her this way. She's alive but not living.

Great channel, been a subscriber for more than 2 yrs. I'm 55 and recently started taking care of my 93 yr old grandfather.. aside from the short term memory loss he is in amazing physical condition we go to the pool hall for a couple of games once a week.

Ed has such a kind, gentle and positive disposition and when you take into consideration his memory issues etc..he could be far less agreeable and be quite the opposite of the wonderful person he is. His positivity and the way he has concern for others well being, is so genuine and sweet, it surely indicates what a kind soul he’s been his entire life.
