That is looking great! Can't wait to see it when you're finished. I've thought about painting our bathroom tiles but I'm too afraid I would mess them up. Wanna see how yours turns out before I give it a go. Lol. Have a great day. Warm hugs from Florida 🌴😎💙😎🌴
You could totally do this!! Next week I'll show in detail how I use a stencil to really make these tiles pop!! You have a great day as well - thank you (as always) for watching!
I would rather watch you START the painting process than to watch you do it. In this video you didn’t show the reveal. I think we all live for the reveals on any DIY project.
Cheers! Very good video. I would like to know if there is any product that can be applied after the ceramic tiles have been painted, so that the paint lasts longer?
Hello Jenni, I've been watching you for a while and love all you do. Your videos are great! In saying that, I was so excited to see your "How to paint bathroom tile with a stencil" video as a Dixie Belle advertisement. Congratulations!!!
Beautiful job! I want to buy gator hide, just wondering, for small children once the tile is dry, can the hot shower steam emit any harmful fumes over time?
I don't think I would use this in a shower that was going to be wet all the time. It works well in this space because it gets wet occasionally, but not daily. I don't think Gator Hide would be dangerous once dry though.
I show you how to seal the tile in Part 2 of the video (coming Wednesday!). And there were a few times we used this before we sealed it and the paint came up, so sealing is a MUST!! I used Gator Hide by Dixie Belle, and it worked great!
@@RootsWingsHome how long do I have to wait to have a bath or shower - cant possibly be 30 days????? I only have one bath. I used it for my kitchen countertop and it is peeling off so now after paying out I have no clue whether I should even bother.
@@RootsWingsHome You stated it has bit of a smell and I notice you didn't use a face mask.. Is it just a low odor paint smell or chemical smell? I am interested in painting over my 1950's pink tile in white and being a person of low income, painting is the way to go for me.. That you for the inspiration.

I may have missed it, but what type of paint are you using after slick stick?

Three years later…Did it hold up?
Great video man! this video was super helpful.

The reveal is right here for you: th-cam.com/video/DOIdbZ1XPbs/w-d-xo.html
Agreed. It was a little click-bait-ish, and now there’s another link for the reveal. 🤦🏽♀️
Hi Jenny,
Can you give us an update on the painted tile?
I would also love an update.
Could you paint a floor shower tile? Would that paint be waterproof?
i think roller would be better choice for smoother surface.
How it the title holding up, thinking of redoing my tile, my bathroom is used on a daily basis. Scared it might start pealing!!
Since your painting tile, would this work the same in a bathroom shower?
Cheers! Very good video. I would like to know if there is any product that can be applied after the ceramic tiles have been painted, so that the paint lasts longer?
thanks for video but really would like to know color of the blue walls????? Love the color....can u share NAME ???????

Awe, thank you so much!
Hello. I cannot find part 2 of this??
Don't you lose the shine of the tile if you use regular paint? Can you use glossy paint?
Don’t use regular paint on tiles, there’ll be no shine and it’ll just peel off
Is this the same thing some people are referring to as "staining tile"?
does the paint has strong smell?

How will the Dixie belle paint respond to a shower surround tile? Wonder if you’d need to seal with something to keep the water off of it ?
I show you how to seal the tile in Part 2 of the video (coming Wednesday!). And there were a few times we used this before we sealed it and the paint came up, so sealing is a MUST!! I used Gator Hide by Dixie Belle, and it worked great!
@@RootsWingsHome so did I and it is still peeling off

While my husband is at work...something about this line made me cringe.
so you didn't take the gloss off the tiles first? ? i thought youd have to sand the tiles before they can even accept the primer
Foam roller saves lives
Can you let me know where I can find the results of this project? Thank you

I want to give only shine to black porcilain sink pl help.

Hi Jenni can I know the kind of paint you are using here
This is Dixie Belle Chalk Paint: dixiebellepaint.com?aff=177

Nice job bu girl are you serious? How long did he stay mad?
Okay.. where is the finish video??
I used what you suggested on my kitchen countertop and it has just started peeling. I did everything you said.....Slick stick paint, gator hide
Not sure this is great for counter tops. Perhaps using Countertop paint from Rustoleum would be a better solution!
I’m sad I wanted to see the finish look
Her husband is going to yell at her. No way that’s holds up over time
He didn't! It's held up fantastically!
Where’s the finish result... why do a video to tease like that
what happens to the tile when it gets wet
Nothing! We don't use this bathtub daily, but when we do the water just beads and sits on top of the paint. It hasn't chipped or scratched at all.
Roots & Wings Furniture & Home that’s super good congrats looks amazing well done
Looked better before
Bathroom NTR
this video should be called 'how to make your bathroom tiles look ugly'
unless her husband is blind i think divorce is coming...
Why did you show the process of painting? Super boring plus not showing the final result? Gosh you wasted my precious time! 😡
How to ruin your home value in one easy video.
That ain't it chief.
A 2 day project? You said while your husband is at work. Is he gone for 2 days? You need a little heat in that cold bed?
