The attachment to albums that you talk about is why I only use Apple Music nowadays on my DAP when I'm feeling more Audiophile-y, the library is a lot more album-focused than my Spotify library, and I don't think I could get into physical media collecting until I inherit my dad's collection, but I do love that products like this are still coming out!
Most of my CD albums and singles are not available on streaming, and some are out of print. I've already converted all of them to FLAC for my Plex server, but from time to time, I will play and listen to a CD just because it's fun. The only time I'll give up my CDs is if/when you take them from my cold dead hands! (Or if they get disc rot, whichever comes first lol)
Great review Fiio is also supposed to be coming out with one of these about $100 cheaper. Haven't heard anything about that one lately, though. Thanks for reviewing this one.
My friend is a bit of a retro head and loves the old-school music. He's into Boyz 2 Men. Oh sorry I got off track yeah he likes a lot of eighties stuff and Blues and Jazz.
It's a little bigger than I thought it was going to be. My old walkman may have inferior sound quality, but at least I can still put it in my pocket while I work
"some may not know what Cassette Tapes are" .... true and :( ... it makes me feel OLD hearing this ...hell not knowing if any of my tape decks even work anymore i STILL have custom recorded tapes I made in the 1990's of old time radio programs (from WAMU in Washington DC, btw)
Have you considered reviewing the fiio portable cd player? The fiio dm13 aka disc man portable CD player since its originally designed by former sony engineers.
Thanks for the reviews. My favorite headphones was the Realistic/Radio Shack pro25/35 Titanium made by Koss they really don't make headphones like those anymore! Not even the new portapros very disappointing.
great review of a very interesting product, it has left me wondering though if these would pair well with upcoming Moondrop speakers or is the next step a full amplifier from Moondrop (followed by a turntable)?
I've gotten 4 different pairs of MoonDrop earbuds & 3 of them ended up having one earbud stop charging/working. I've decided not to buy their stuff anymore, which is sad because I love the anime girl packaging & cool design...
How does this work plugged into a car as a CD player? New cars don’t have CD players built into them now so how would this fair to being plugged into a car as a replacement?
@ how does it work in the car overall? Is it good quality? Also how is it in reading the CD’s? For example, if I listen to American Idiot by Green, and one song is supposed to transition into the other does it do that flawlessly?
I need one of these in my life ASAP!
Dude, its sounds so damn good! I know you have a collection of headphones and iems that would pair perfectly with this
@@OfficialGamesky Got a collection of CDs that need a new home too. This thing looks perfect!😂
@ELJefeReviews I want this, don't need but I WANTS it, and the Kadenz would be nice too
I was a Radio Shack kid too. Couldn’t figure out how they could pack so much cool stuff into such a little store. 🙂

This speaks to my inner child
Wonder if that digital output bypasses the internal DAC? That would make this a great value CD transport.

Just throwing it out there for anybody reading, in my experience moondrop has been so much more reliable than fiio in terms of quality

Does it have gapless playback? Many of the Chinese portable cd players don’t.

Interesting, thanks for the review. I wonder how it compares to the similar Fiio unit (DM13 as I recall)...

Being into "Boys To Men" back in the day would definitely be considered crazy diabolical Diddy work by 2024's standards-Ayo...
🤣🤣😭
Haha
Your mind going there tells something about you 😂
Still got my BOSE CD player somewhere. Got to pull it out and dust it off.
I need one of this as I have tons of CD's
This seems like those "premium" Chinese cassette players that are out right now. They have a nice metal housing but have cheap junk internals .
Well there is a regular disc dream 2 that is 150. So there is a budget option
love this!

@@thebandthesummitts works really well actually. Doesn't skip and the volume isn't an issue

Looking interesting 🧐
Oh hell yeah
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Never fit my vinyl on that. Oops! Showing my age. Lol.
They forgot bluetooth
Wow!
Do people that use disc still exist? I loved that but on phone everything easier
Everything is not on a phone 😉
Yes and vinyls. People like physical media.
First! Yay!
