  • Hi Guys, today I'm reviewing the Braun FP3020 12 Cup Food Processor. LINK to Braun: amzn.to/2NH4KIZ LINK to Part 2: • Braun FP3020 12 Cup Fo... . When you first get the unit, wash all the parts in warm soapy water and dry. The parts are dishwasher safe. As you can see there are a lot of parts. I’m thinking this will be a 2 part review because it might be too long for one video. The unit measures about inches wide, inches tall and inches deep. It come with the motor block, it’s 600 watts, this is the on/off switch which also has a pulse mode. Use pulse for chopping vegetables and making dough. You have to move the switch back and forth to pulse. The variable speed regulator that can be set from 1 to 15. This the food processor bowl that holds 2 liters or a little over 8 cups. Turn the bowl to lock. A blade with cover, the lid and the pusher for the lid. There is also a chopper attachment with a blade. A citrus attachment so you can juice lemons, limes etc. This is the insert carrier which you need to use these 5 stainless steel inserts. There is the fine slicing insert, coarse slicing insert, fine shredding, coarse shredding and grating insert. A kneading hook to make yeast dough, pasta and pastries, and a whipping attachment to make whipped cream and whip egg whites. There is cord storage on the back of the base.
This is the manual. There is a page with pictures which I think some people will find confusing. I’ll try to show you all the parts and how to use them so it’ll be easier for you to use if you get this food processor or already own it.
Second part of this review will be uploaded in a few days. Please subscribe and I'll see you next time. Thanks for watching :)

Thank you so much for this video. You are wonderful and so helpful. I purchased this food processor last year and gave up trying to figure it out from the manual, as nuts and pathetic as that sounds lol (I'm not good with diagrams, nor cooking for that matter). Today, trying again, it occurred to me to see if there were any videos, and what do you know! :) I've marked all the parts and am thrilled to have this guide. People like you are angels and very appreciated, thank you again :) xx

Thank you so much for the extremely well-made video reviews of the Braun FP3020 food processor ...excellent reviews and I watched (and thumbs-up liked!) both videos. After extensive research, I had my selection down to either the Braun FP3020 12-cup or the Cuisinart DFP-14BCWNY 14-cup...
Although the Braun has a narrower chute and shorter warranty (and some other differences that were non-issue for my use, i.e., motor size of 720W & 14-cup capacity vs Braun’s 600W & 12-cup capacity, etc.), I ultimately decided on the Braun for variety of reasons, primarily due to many of the items I mention below. And, I also decided to buy the 3-year kitchen protection plan through Amazon ($21.99), which many would rather forego, but it works for me (they also offer 4-yr plan):
    1. Quiet motor - top in its class for quiet running
    2. Lots of Speed control options - 11 speeds allow for increased control
    3. Don’t have to hold down button(s) - ease of use
    4. Comes with Smaller bowl that fits inside larger bowl for small prep jobs. And, the large bowl remains clean.
    5. Shorter in size so it can fit underneath a wall counter
    6. Lighter weight and smaller footprint - can easily leave it on my kitchen counter, pushed back. So, when I need the unit, which will be often, it’s much easier/lighter to slide forward for use & back, for out-of-the-way storage.
    7. Doesn’t have all the locking features to make it run, i.e., don’t have to lock down the food pusher, before it will run.
    8. Doesn’t mandate capacity with a fill-line on the food chute.
    9. Easier to remove the plunger
    10. The seal of the lid is better - important for liquid ingredients. Many reviews stated the Cuisinart had leakage issues.
    11. Latching it closed is much easier, easier to lock the bowl and lid in place.
    12. Very good price point for what you get in the way of attachments & comes with 7 blades, combined with all the benefits listed here (and more online).
    13. Juice press - for fresh orange juice is a nice bonus (I get that it might not be great for limes or lemons (after watching videos here), but I can still use my handheld juice presser for the little items, if necessary. I’ll play around with the (many) speed controls, as that could make a difference.
    14. Made in Europe with German engineering.
    15. They’re both BPA free, which was important.
    16. QUIET motor …I know this was mentioned in #1 spot, but it’s so worth the repeat!
    😉
Maybe this input helps others who are still on the fence between the two food processors ...
I look forward to getting my new food processor!!

I like that you retained the difficulties, not just a perfect performance. I learned I can probably do more by playing with the speed to see what works. I want to get carrots down to about diced size. So far I've only been making large pots of soup with hand cut chopped vegetables, and once it's cooled, running batches through my old Braun to purée it into soup with the large blade.

Thank you for a brilliant video! I just recently purchased this model, and I love it! I had not had a decent food processor for 16 years (it was a Braun machine as well back then), and had forgotten how sharp the blades of a quality machine are... Do you know of any storage solution for the attachments? It's the only negative that I can find on this beauty...

I believe Braun discontinued this model. I was really interested in it on Amazon, and one of the reviewers said they couldn't get a replacement part because Braun no longer makes them. I checked the Braun website and didn't see it, but it is an intriguing model.

Hi, I'd like to order one but am confused because in your youtube, you show a thin and a thick slicer, When reading up on this model to order one, I see only one slicer included, with no mention of thickness. Also, do you recommend the 3020 over the 2010? And do you consider it a problem that replacement parts will be hard to find, because this model is being discontinued?

I bought this recently, and with the French fry attachment. It works really well if you don't mind curved fries. Basically, you end up with finger sized curved steak fries or a tad smaller (the length of the chute window). Coupled with an air fryer, I've completely stopped buying pre-made or frozen fries.
