I've driven from 85 to Wesley Chapel too many times to count. This is the first time I get to kick back and watch from the passenger side. Thanks for the ride Jim.
3:41 is Exit #71; Panola Road is off this exit, the elementary school that I went to is off of that exit. At the end of the video is Exit #75, Stonecrest Mall is off of that exit.
Hands down FWJ! You and your son....are the MEN!!! I LOVE THESE VIDEOS and you already know that I have a serious softspot for Atlanta AND I will say that your videos do help me get more familiar with Atlanta so when I do visit ATL, I know what Im doing and where Im going! I appreciate all that you all do! Plus you always choose some kick@$$ songs to go along with it. Somewhere out in this world, there got to be a career with your name on it that allows you to use your driving and technical talents! *fistpump for FWJ!
Huge like! Great ride- love highways like this- and yeah sometimes you have to just go out and take a ride and enjoy it all! Nice ride- and it gets a huge like after a long last two days for me and time to finally see this vid!
Moving to georgia this year from new york, mother is retiring from rikers island and im happy to get out of ny, too expensive, can you give me alittle insight on how beautiful it is down there & the traffic oh btw love your videos man do some more night ones in atl
laticedupree Thank you...well I've lived here since 1977 after my family moved from NH so I like it here, it's a very affordable place to live and the weather is great. The mountains are 90 minutes north and the ocean is 4-5 hours to the southeast. The city is very easy to get around (especially compared to NY) once you learn the rush hour patterns. The rest, well that's all personal preference.
I take this route every day. I hate that the concrete joints are in the middle of the road between downtown and I-285. It makes for an unsettled ride since the pavement has different expansion and warping within the same lane. I guess it's just my OCD. lol Great vid as usual
Nice ride Jim, the music track was nice and relaxing, I've driven (I-20) as far as to Columbia South Carolina, but no further, and if you can beat the heavy traffic, it is a smooth drive! I watched other videos by different individuals, but they aren't as in depth as yours. As always,( Great Video Jim)!!
Can't see anything but trees. Is there a city hidden in there somewhere? LOL.. sorry Jim, never been to Georgia or anywhere that has so many trees. Great ride, enjoyed it as usual!
Thank you, in fairness, I-20 is the least interesting drive through Atlanta, but people want to see it on here. I-75 and I-85 offer much more in the way of city views. Also, Atlanta and Georgia, in general, do have a lot of trees.
American Roads I have not filmed this at night, have not driven it at night in a long time for that matter. In the Atlanta area it is hit or miss as far as the lights being on.
Your Welcome!!! Also, TxDOT announced that they are taking the pierce elevated out and re-routing I-45 through downtown Houston. Construction is supposed to start sometime in 2017-18.
Nice video ! 4:14... I just HATE when someone stay on the left lane. It should be alot more strict. I think I would have honked at him. But I never take chances to pass on the right.
Freewayjim Yeah I've noticed that. Why do you think it's that way in USA ? Meanwhile, it is very different in say, UK. Hopefully, we are not perfect but more disciplined in Quebec for that.
Freewayjim I got to tell you 3 things: 1. We're "Alright" Right? LOL 2. Did you know that I was promoted to the 10th grade? 3. You just literally made this video for laziness ( like you were bored or something, if that's the case, LOL!) I like the music & the video. Have a blessed day & a blessed season Freewayjim. :-)
O_O OK.... Sorry, but get ready for me to comment you on every video you make because it's going to be EPIC just like TheSolarcatcher. (Besides, I don't know if you're brothers or just friends, also I don't know if he's a male or a female.) Anyways, see you next Monday! >:) #FreewayjimIsGoingToItsBest!
I assume with your shots of the road signs you just crop 'em down in Photoshop (and possibly scale transform them)? And also how do you paste them into the video?
tall32guy Actually I crop them in Lightroom, then import them to the video software (Final Cut Pro X) where I scale and transform them on the video footage. Adding them in to the video is very simple, once the picture file (.JPG) of the sign is loaded into the video software I just drag and place it on the timeline as I would any other graphic, it becomes its own 8 second video track basically and I can do pretty much anything I want to it at that point.
What wall specifically? the walls on the side are for noise as there are residential areas behind them and will reduce the traffic noise that residents would hear if that is what you are wondering.
I should ask, because of what happened last month. Have you seen a Skypro Studio trailer heading away from Atlanta since April 10th? If you remember, that's great, because it was stolen from the owner at the hotel a convention was going on at.
perfect music sync with the freeway
Lovin' it.
Thank you!

My wife wants to go on a road trip this weekend,I told her that we can stay home and watch Freewayjim videos.:)
***** LOL, if the weather is nice, take the road trip.
Once again the visuals and the music blended perfectly.
J Johnson Thank you!
Man I agree ! he blends damned near flawlessly
3:41 is Exit #71; Panola Road is off this exit, the elementary school that I went to is off of that exit. At the end of the video is Exit #75, Stonecrest Mall is off of that exit.
Boy you had much better light running on I-20 than I did last summer. you always know how to put all of the pieces together to make a cool road vid.
socarboy Thank you!
I remember zipping through here coming back to NC from Texas. Thanks for showing me what I misssed, because I certainly wasn't sightseeing!

Can't wait for more! I really wish Chicago had Atlanta's HOV lane system.
BROOO I cannot even Agree More! Chicago is a HUGE City but without a Single HOV Lane???
@@SlowedByCinnamxn Nope, we don’t do that here and I don’t know why. We have reversible lanes on exactly one of our expressways.

You pick some of the SIMPLY BEST MUSIC for your videos! Keep up the good work, I don't know whether to listen to the music or watch the videos....
uniy123 Thanks, I really appreciate that.

Great vid as usual
Motown Moss Thanks, yes you can definitely tell it's a rougher ride.

Thank you for the kind words James.
No problem, have to give you props and respect, you've earned it in my book!!
In my opinion I think the music fits perfectly.
That's the objective, thank you!
these are great James !
+honeybun33 Thank you very much!

I love this channel!
Funny, when I took this exact same route, I-20 E from Downtown, I got off of I-20 at the GA 124 exit.
The stretch up until about 02:50 must be pretty well-lighted at night. Do you happen to have any night videos of this freeway?
American Roads I have not filmed this at night, have not driven it at night in a long time for that matter. In the Atlanta area it is hit or miss as far as the lights being on.
Thank you for the relaxing ride
על גלגלים On Wheels You are welcome!
Awesome job as usual Jim. You found a neat font by the way!
Roads of Europe (verreme) Thank you, the latest upgrade of Final Cut Pro X came with some 3D Fonts, thought I'd try them out.
Nice one! Can't wait to see more!
I noticed your "I-285 around Atlanta" video got deleted somehow. What happened? :/
benlonghighway Thanks, I guess TH-cam did not like one of the songs I used on that vieo.
Great Video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for my road trip to Tennessee! Are you ready for your big trip out west?
Nash wayz Thanks, I'm getting there, hope you enjoy your trip!
Your Welcome!!! Also, TxDOT announced that they are taking the pierce elevated out and re-routing I-45 through downtown Houston. Construction is supposed to start sometime in 2017-18.

I think I would have honked at him. But I never take chances to pass on the right.
Freeway FranksThank you, it's every man for himself on these freeways, people have no concept of lane discipline.
Freewayjim Yeah I've noticed that. Why do you think it's that way in USA ? Meanwhile, it is very different in say, UK. Hopefully, we are not perfect but more disciplined in Quebec for that.
Freeway Franks I think it's been a rule of driving that's never been stressed or enforced to where people give it a thought.
Great ride Jim? Is there REALLY any excuse needed to joyride and film when you get the weather?
TheSolarcatcherThanks, nah, it's what we do!
Freewayjim I got to tell you 3 things:
1. We're "Alright" Right? LOL
2. Did you know that I was promoted to the 10th grade?
3. You just literally made this video for laziness ( like you were bored or something, if that's the case, LOL!)
I like the music & the video. Have a blessed day & a blessed season Freewayjim. :-)
Justin Hundley , Yes, no (Congrats) and no, I purposely went out and filmed this (and the one before it) on that day.
O_O
OK.... Sorry, but get ready for me to comment you on every video you make because it's going to be EPIC just like TheSolarcatcher. (Besides, I don't know if you're brothers or just friends, also I don't know if he's a male or a female.) Anyways, see you next Monday! >:)

Justin Hundley The Solarcatcher and I are good friends. I'll have two more ATL videos then videos from the trip start Monday June 29.

Cool!!! Thanks for de info. :D
Awesome Joy Ride
+Ryan “xLuiKangx007” Howell Thanks
How is I-20 east bound? The furthest I've driven out is to Lithonia.
taykh It's pretty boring all the way to Agusta, and to Columbia and to Florence.
What is the name of the music at the start of every video?
Appalachian Swede It's an Apple Loop called Chelsea Loft. th-cam.com/video/PkOgToM-3V4/w-d-xo.html
I go this way every time I go to South Carolina.
Can someone tell me what's the purpose of the wall along the feeway in Georgia
What wall specifically? the walls on the side are for noise as there are residential areas behind them and will reduce the traffic noise that residents would hear if that is what you are wondering.
@@Freewayjim thanks I'm from Bama I travel I 85 often ,just couldn't figure that out,but Roll Tide🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘
Jamiroquai is my favorite band. thanks!
Small question - Is the camera mounted inside or outside the car?
IsraelRoads Thanks, I like them too. The camera is mounted on the Inside. th-cam.com/video/ApDqCR7T5bA/w-d-xo.html
