While there was a slight lag at the beginning, it quickly ramped up, hitting an impressive 100% emulation speed most of the time, with only occasional drops to a high 90% rate. Get ready to relive your favorite PS2 classics on this powerful Mini PC.
🎮 Playstation 3, Original Xbox, and Wii U Troubles:
I attempted to push the boundaries further with Playstation 3, Original Xbox, and Wii U emulation, but encountered some roadblocks. Unfortunately, I faced difficulties getting games to load in the emulator for these consoles.
🕹️ Xbox Emulation Woes:
Though the Xbox emulator is available as a native Linux program, converting game ISO files into a compatible format proved challenging. The necessary software was only accessible on Windows, and my attempts using WINE on my Endeavour OS Linux installation were unsuccessful.
🎮 Wii U and Playstation 3 Hurdles:
For both Wii U and Playstation 3 emulation, I encountered obstacles despite following guides and naming files and folders correctly. Running Cemu (Wii U emulator) using WINE, I struggled to obtain the fitting key for Wii U games, resulting in unplayable outcomes. Similarly, my efforts with Playstation 3 emulation left me frustrated, as I was unable to get it to run at all.
While the journey might have been tumultuous, this testing experience provided valuable insights into the Ryzen 7 7730u's strengths and limitations when it comes to console emulation gaming.
