I think its hilarious that Doublelift was doing the exact thing Tyler is talking about during spring split because in his own words "Spring split doesnt matter"
He's right. The local NA players aren't great, and the imports don't try nearly as hard when they come to a country they don't care about with a contract already written down. These players make their money and never strive for the same level of excellence as EU, CN, KR, and others do.
Here's a snapshot of player counts by region, please be aware that this statistics belongs to”Rift Feed” and it is from 2022: Korea: 19,822,124 Europe West: 34,830,785 North America: 27,889,684 NA, we used to go to EU servers and troll, so i wouldnt be surprised if other servers do the same. At some elo's it's hard rising up simply from trolls/bots, making it time consuming. Lowering base average numbers for players. Most people make money from streaming, and you don't need to be the best, you just need to be very good, and be very funny. Trolling, while doing high skilled things, is content. Easy money. It's more likely to gain money from streaming than preparing for tournaments.
its not that imports aren't trying its more so they don't know how to play with or against NA teams. Its a different type of game in the sense of priorities

I mean when a person who managed to get 5 accounts challenger in different roles talks about pation and drive I think it's fair to critique what he perceives as lack of, especially since he is not getting paid by a team to play soloq, once upon a time it was a badge of honor having multiple accounts in challenger as the old C9 crew with Hai, Meteos, Sneaky even Wild turtle was picked for TSM for his dedication to play and maintain challenger accounts as Chaos kinda lost the drive by the end of his career. Players like Faker have thousands upon thousands of soloq games and it's shows when they are on stage, of course they dont carry every game and feed some times but I think Tyler is talking about limit testing at least he has a plataform to say it and people can watch the game to see if he is right.
i’m gonna say this again when it comes with core jj situation: Until Corejj win against any VCS team, then NA will have a real conversation about it in general.
"... where Guma is laning vs LCK AD carries, and the guy is like 0-12..." Yeah, but that "0-12" LCK AD carry will probably be 12-0 against LCS in a bad game tbh.

as an LCS fan who loves this region and wants it to succeed tyler1 is 1000000% right. there are SO FEW pros who try even in the LCS and want to actually improve the region. NA is so objectively the worst major region and should probably relegate to a minor region if we dont start fucking trying. Minor regions like the VCS shows so much more hunger to actually make deep runs in ITL play and win while also developing new talent and it's insane that people still pretend the LCS is anything at all when you watch these minor teams. Also, Corejj was def running it that was fucking ass
As a fan from the vcs, I has to say that you have no idea how wrong you are. Vcs is like lcs but 100 times worse, they don’t even care about winning anymore. That why GAM could use the same strategy for years which everyone know and still be the king of the vcs. Not to mention all rumors about players intentionally losing game. Hell, vcs Riot actually ban an entire team - sbtc for losing on purpose.
@@TrườngNguyễn-x9z I get what you are saying, and i didnt mean that the VCS in its current state is strictly better than the LCS. What i mean was that the VCS has several young and seriously mechanically talented players who want to win, who are passionate about the game and i think could become real international players. Additonally, even if GAM is the most conistent, TW and TS are showing real promise, and players like Taki and Shogun when they were on SGB were a seriously strong bot lane duo even against incredibly good opponents. The VCS might not be perfect, and neither is the LCS, but from what ive seen i think it has the potential to be a strong region, especially with more development of younger players and two teams going to worlds each year.
People need to actually separate their own opinions about the person, to actually what they are saying, can be frustrating to some, but Tyler is actually right in this situation.
its the mixture of all of it, the base frustration of beeing targeted, stream sniped and trolled, then gets fused with the losing streak and lcs becoming more and more irrelevant. There is a saying in germany "scheiße ist ein rudeltier" wich basically means shit never comes alone
Completely deserved, franchising has annihilated NA League (which I guess is a root issue because that was the end goal of LoL- to monetize the MOBA genre rather than an actual passion project), it's the same pro players recycled again and again suppressing the opportunity for new ones and that culture is reflected on the tone of ladder. People act like NA is no good at MOBAS when that's clearly not the case if you look at Dota, there's no drive to improve because it's not cutthroat at all and people's spots are guaranteed despite subpar performance. Combined with the fact that foreign teams aren't sparring with them because NA refused to very early on and now have received the same treatment back + meta slave mentality and overall gameplay just being "let's copy Korea," so they just play a shittier version of their gameplan because they are always going to be behind on current tech is just embarrassing. Just by sheer populace NA is viable in quite literally every game and sport because just numerically there's bound to be talented players but none of that matters obviously when they're just jailed out from the top like in League which in turn murdered the culture of competitiveness on ladder because it doesn't matter, 0 sympathy for NA pro scene, it's a self inflicted wound.
I said this literally years ago when they announced franchising. I said it would ruin any NA talent growth and people got told me "nooooo it'll promote growth cause they dont have to worry about money now" but that's always a lie in NA cause NA always tries to find a way to steal money. Finally glad to see everyone coming around
To be fair NA scrimmed against EU (c9 before their game with I believe Fnatic) who then told Fnatic, as Fnatic started target banned their comps practiced from the gate. I wouldn't want to scrim other regions after that either lol
There was an instance where T1 was on a team with a jungler and they did great and nearly carried for a win and the VERY NEXT GAME he was teamed up with the same exact player and one thing was said to that jungler and they ran it down hard
actually agree with him man. the amount of league players let alone pros ruin the game. to many players just dont understand the gmae and it makes it bad. they just play like robots and it makes games unwinnable ive hd to many games where players just autopliot the game it makes it unfun and unfair and riot is unfair for players to "play" for fun but they arent even trying to win this game has just become unfun
I've been out of the game for 2 years now, and I would NEVER walk in front of a minion wave knowing Blitz is on the other team let alone spotted near a tower. Could be Blitz being lucky, or Core having a bad play streak, but still man...
Solo queue daily encounters: -“my account was $2, idc” -top laner/jg dies once then basically goes afk -teammate dies once and dc’s -hard carry every game, but doesn’t matter because usually 2/5 players on your team aren’t trying or are coming down off being drunk/high -you have a 78% winrate, lose 2-3 games, then proceed to get +18lp -30lp -teammate locks in troll top or support & you auto lose -teammates start arguing & both proceed to afk when it really doesn’t matter to either player There are many problems with league, I am a casual solo queue player, I play maybe a game or two every other day. It’s sad to see I 100% run into these situations almost every time I hop on (current rank is emerald 4). I’m not sure how to fix the game, but the player base makes the game basically unplayable if you’re actually trying to win.
There's been pro's griefing in solo q for years. TES Qingtian got called out by Faker and punished a few years back, and T1 ADC Gumayusi was also fined. That's just two that came up on first page of search, there's probably more, and who knows how many that didn't get caught or called out.
It's been what like 13 years of pro league and the general playbook is still: farm for 20 minutes, team fight at dragon, one team throws at baron, game ends. The quality of pro games literally has not gone up in over a decade. They still make the same stupid decisions over and over and over. There is no change, no learning, no growth. Sure some players have become better on an individual level, but the macro level teamplay is still the same garbage Dignitas used to do back in like season 3.
underrated comment lmao. the other regions improved (sure some teams in other regions still do these mistakes but generally not because they learned the lesson and it became a fundamental piece of their play) while NA didnt move a step. Cloud9 continues at the top of the region with the most fraud gameplay ever because no one punishes their greed. they get away with anything so they will never learn.
There are plenty of pros in other esports that don’t play ranked at all let alone ones who play and not care all that much. The LCS’s problems are much bigger than pros throwing T1’s ranked games lol
No see there's a massive difference there. Not playing ranked is fine. Intentionally throwing ranked games is not, because of the simple fact that it creates bad habits and puts you in a bad mental state overall. If you are used to just throwing when shit happens in a game you don't like, if you form that habit, you will take it with you into the pro games.
as a master in Eu. Na. SEA servers i played with pros and NA pros are like a genie in a bottle sometimes good soemtimes bad especially the older one's in China they take it all seriously they also flame in chat so much like pings and chat but thet always have good standards and decision making
It can be both thing. Yes CoreJJ was basically just running it down and yes tyler1 is a hypocrite. I'm a tyler fan but lets be honest, his career is and was known for being super toxic and running it down in like half his games lmao.
i think phyosic after winning worlds witrh drx went to lcs for a seasons and now that hes back in lck he said how dissaponted he was with the region because they see being pro as a job and they dont play as much as other pro players do,he said he was frustrated by their little practice and how little they actually cared about becoming better. yes other players from other regions also run it down some times but they at least try to learn from mistakes or something, unless its a 0/12 game where they just play it
I actually think Tyler1 is the only one man on the hill who has a voice that Riot will listen to in representation of the community on the games horrible state. Everyone else like Doublelift is just quietly not trying to fight the company that gave them their careers, but Tyler1 is the only non shy guy thats willing to look like the bad guy to Riot to fix the games issues.
T1 is right though. NA pros were literally paid to play champions queue and NO ONE PLAYED hence why they got rid of it. The gap between NA and other regions is so apparent the running joke in asia is that imports to go to NA for the paycheck. It's crazy how they try to bring in talent yet they dont make a dent at worlds.
Bad gameplay by CoreJJ, still didnt flame, dc or griefed intentionally. All things that T1 did intentionally in front of thousands of people on stream. And somehow people gives credit to his opinions on how you should be the best version of yourself wtf. Bro this guy is disgusting
Doublelift gotta remember though, Tyler does it for the content... Tyler is not a pro player... Tyler can afford to because he's multi-regional and multi-role challenger caliber and doesn't need to prove anything anymore. AND HONESTLY, the vast majority of games where he's inting aren't even on him, 75% of the time it's quite literally a team or a jungle diff issue. I get you got a bad game, but seeing how Core clicked forward when the wave got cleared is just pure inting, he quite literally ran it down, there's nothing else to say in that game, guy ran it down multiple times during that one game. It's one thing to have a bad game, it's another to play like an iron character when you're a pro player so I can't back Doublelift on this one...
The main takeaway from this game is to not play soloq ranked league BECAUSE it’s not worth losing your mental over teammates that might be trolling or are just having a bad game. Play league with friends and have fun. It’s not worth raging just to get some LP and lose it again next season when ranks are reset.
We're talking about a man who was so toxic he got put on riots watchlist to be perma banned - Got unbanned after turning mostly around. Then proceeded to take 5 accounts to challenger. If that ancestor god tells you you aint special and you got no passion... you probably aint. If someone from the day of CRT-Monitor LANs with like 2k on the line at best calls you a "paycheck thieve" for signing contracts sponsored by top brands for millions, win or loose - Then take your money and the L. T1 plays because of passion, LCS players for the paycheck. And who should you trust, the one who cares about something or the one who gets paid to do something regardless if they care or not.
Ranked and professional games are so vastly different because it's solo performance and leadership versus playing with people on vc and farming/rotating for 40 minutes straight until an objective is up for grabbing. Plus Tyler one IS PAID TO PLAY THE GAME and his games have over 20k viewers? more? meanwhile nobody is watching LCS. nobody cares about the games and Riot has to give away free rewards to just grab attention. thing is.. they are boring. and this is why Twitch Rivals and Mr Beast's tournaments were so much more popular than what Riot offered. also Tyler reaching challenger in every single role proves he has more talent than the LCS players and Riot is right to pay him enormous amount of money to keep playing.
Yeah you gotta take Tyler1's comments with a massive dial down, he's not wrong though he has always been the way he has. He is also consistently the player playing the highest games in high elo per season. LCS pros have played the least ranked games out of all regions. LCS is dead, Riot just paused them for 2 weeks for VCTs and they still won't be playing in the studio still haha.
as someone outside of the league community im confused, like every other game out there is the same? CS pro's run it down in faceit and EMEA, val pros literally just fuck around in ranked most of the time, fortnite pros W key every fight possible in ranked, its crazy that your mad at pro players in league for not caring about ranked cause like, thats the case everywhere, i get it, got to suck when you get one on your team but it also makes sense, ofc they arent gonna take it as seriously as someone that only plays solo queue, for pros ranked is their time to relax, its the less competitive version of the game they play, for solo queue players, solo queue is the most competitive gamemode they play so its more important to them.
The most important thing that Tyler1 said wasn't even covered in this video. The fact that the LCS doesn't care enough about winning to even play Champions Queue, and Champion's Queue being shut down as a result. DoubleLift would have no defense for this. It is the most inexcusable thing that has happened in LCS. LCK and LPL pros that played champions Queue said that it felt like a super server. NA pros let it die, because they aren't interested in winning internationally.
Trash. There's absolutely no defending running it down, it's toxic play in a toxic game. Running it down is completely indefensible. Doublelift is embarrassing. If you're going to play don't waste everyone's time, and if you're a pro, you're a respected representative of the game's community, and you have been rewarded for it with money and fame: the very least you can do is not act like a petty child and throw. This is why actual sports leagues that aren't the cancer in esports fine their players for bringing the game into disrepute.
DL saying it like lck pros and lcs pros are the same. When Guma’s performance was at it all time low, he didn’t go screw the team, lack of motivation shit and still earning the T1 paycheck.Sadly, couldn’t say the same about another lcs pro who said spring split doesn’t matter
Man, LCS really has become the WNBA of LOLEsports, both in income and excitement. The skill gap between the East and West regions have only grown with time. I really think franchising has killed the competitive spirit in Western regions, that and the constant losses to Eastern teams have killed their motivation. Bring back the relegation series, so the bottom teams have something to fight for and keep the competitive integrity up. Some teams are too comfortable with losing while some are content with being the best of the worst and would rather rest on their laurels. If that don't improve, just cut off support little by little. No point in keeping a dying League alive, it's just like watching someone you love die slowly.
LCS players act like they are the best but remember the region has no international accolades. NO matter how many regional accolades the players achieve, they wont mean anything. LCS is not a "good" region.
Doublelift has and always will be a clown. 😂😂 comparing Guma running it down vs LCS pros running it down is like comparing college football to the NFL. The difference is Guma actually has hands and can win international events.
I'm not a big "market economics" guy, but LCS pros straight up make more money than they're worth, and it fucks up the competitive atmosphere. I guarantee if being an LCS pro paid 80-100k a year you'd have just as many people wanting to do it, with three times the hunger. Of course the pros don't give a shit they get paid regardless of how they, their team or even the fucking region performs. It is criminal that there are LCS players making more than LPL and LCK players, and it shows in the performance and effort. We are basically the only region with pros playing just for money. Don't get me wrong, every pro player in every region wants to get paid, but in LCS its hard to look at any player and think "they're in it for the love of the game." That's why the region sucks, and its why LCS pros become less sympathetic with each passing day. The PA walkout was our jumping the shark moment, when delusional players were confronted with the reality that they are not worth as much as they think, and they deserve less than they already have. Get some broke college students from NA Challenger and put em in LCS, they'd probably be worse but LCS would be a better product.
I mean, T1 is kinda right though. It seems like there really isn't much NA talent in general, like GeneralSniper is the best player of recent times, along with Meech, Massu etc. And clearly there must be something wrong with NA in general, because you guys can't win internationally to save yourselves and it seems like there's no passion or intention to ever try hard enough to get anywhere internationally. Tbh, CoreJJ used to be a guy who was passionate about improving the LCS overall and was, by far, the best support in the region... you look at him now and just don't see it. He needs to retire and go back to Korea, probably. LCS will never get anywhere, because your pro-players don't care enough to try and win internationally...
Tyler1 is a hypocrite when he’s talking about when pros don’t care about solo q because he runs it down as well and also soft ints I’ve played twice with him in masters and he gives up so easily and has one of the worst mentals but he is also telling the truth about these pros not giving a damn about solo w
I think it’s low key a super lit method of protesting. Imagine someone who has been playing chess in between queues getting so much chess practice he’s become immaculate after just a few months. League must be so fun to play😂.
T1 is right about a lot of things concerning LCS and NA Pros lack of passion and lack of efforts / inting. But he is also extremely hypocritical considering he is negatively impacting so many games and that is simply undeniable, he's a figurehead in this ff15 giving up mentality that is rampant. It's the same case of everyone complaining about their teammates being toxic and games being unplayable while they have 10+ bans / restriction in their history. Positive change for NALCS and it's soloQ & League culture in general HAS to come from the top down, aka pros, Riot and top streamers, at the moment neither of them are showing up to the plate, it's a game of pointing fingers and no one taking initiative to make a change, unless maybe Azzap right now hats off to you. Until some big figures step up and take action it's not changing.
we all know T1 is correct and why is there even a news coverage on it. you couldve just left the vod clip of T1 talking about it be left and we wouldve said "yeah, hes right" and went on to live our lives.
Ahhh yes, a professional player playing like an actual bronze in ranked is a "bad game". So LeBron James getting dunked on by elementry schoolers and losing to them would be just because he had a "bad game".
Doubelift is right on the point that LCK & LPL do run it down. I distinctly remember Faker calling out TES's Qingtian (on Riot's super account) for inting his game. Also upon research, I also found video of XiaoHu flaming Gala and Light. So LPL & LCK pro-players do run it down or flame their teammates.
I think Tyler is just angry/miserable playing the game in general and CoreJJ was just the straw that broke the camels back. You really shouldn't take it personally when someone rages at you in League because it's rarely ever specifically about you, but rather a rant toward the game and community in general, and all the matches that led up to the rant.
I was taught that whenever you start going 6-7 deaths in a game you are 100% doing something very wrong. Having a bad game and sprinting it down aren't mutually exclusive. Lastly, target inting streamers is nothing new. Pro players not caring in soloq games is nothing new. and the LCS being washed is nothing new, the EU LCK retirement home for the massive paychecks.
This is literally what's happening to the Mexican soccer league. It's been downhill for the past 10 years and people are saying the players just want the check and don't have passion anymore. I can understand T1s stance cause it's exactly what is seen in that Soccer league too
Tyler1 is the worst thing that happend to League Community. I think community wise League would have been a better place if he didnt get famous. Riot even invited him to events because he was "reformed" he spreads his negative believes to his community and they bring it to Summoners Rift like Covid.
When he got perma'd people protested in live events to get his ban revoked. I haven't touched this game since Lissandra got released and even I can admit he's one of the very few streamers/videogame influencers that's not scared to call out when devs or pro players are being scummy. You rarely (if ever) see someone as transparent as him in other games.
boo hoo. League is the worst thing to happen to the league community. What exactly has he changed? Nothing. It would still be the same, toxic place. LMAO

literally... NA is dead and pros play like shit
Yeah a lot of NA teams are 4/5 european/korean imports. It's hilarious to me.
But Riot and the LCS can't admit NA is a minor region. NA is a paycheck retirement home for global pro players.
He's right. The local NA players aren't great, and the imports don't try nearly as hard when they come to a country they don't care about with a contract already written down. These players make their money and never strive for the same level of excellence as EU, CN, KR, and others do.
Here's a snapshot of player counts by region, please be aware that this statistics belongs to”Rift Feed” and it is from 2022: Korea: 19,822,124 Europe West: 34,830,785 North America: 27,889,684
NA, we used to go to EU servers and troll, so i wouldnt be surprised if other servers do the same.

Players like Faker have thousands upon thousands of soloq games and it's shows when they are on stage, of course they dont carry every game and feed some times but I think Tyler is talking about limit testing at least he has a plataform to say it and people can watch the game to see if he is right.

as an LCS fan who loves this region and wants it to succeed tyler1 is 1000000% right. there are SO FEW pros who try even in the LCS and want to actually improve the region.
Vcs cant even get out of play ins hahaha😂 tf r u smoking ? Even they did cant even get out of groups 😂😂😂
Doublelift tired of getting 20 bombs dropped on him in his pro role
People need to actually separate their own opinions about the person, to actually what they are saying, can be frustrating to some, but Tyler is actually right in this situation.
its the mixture of all of it, the base frustration of beeing targeted, stream sniped and trolled, then gets fused with the losing streak and lcs becoming more and more irrelevant. There is a saying in germany "scheiße ist ein rudeltier" wich basically means shit never comes alone
I say it's a bit of truth for both
I do want NA to succeed but solo queue is just... BAD
LCS pros on strike is the funniest part about this. As if they have any talent worth striking over. 😂
I agree. I’m from NA and it is so sad that nobody talks or cares compared to EU and AS.
Dude needs to get into fighting games. 1v1 if you want to compete online. Chess, or a rts are good choices.

There was an instance where T1 was on a team with a jungler and they did great and nearly carried for a win and the VERY NEXT GAME he was teamed up with the same exact player and one thing was said to that jungler and they ran it down hard
5:18 doublelift confirms pro players are turbo running it down in every region so that makes it okay to do it.
actually agree with him man. the amount of league players let alone pros ruin the game. to many players just dont understand the gmae and it makes it bad. they just play like robots and it makes games unwinnable ive hd to many games where players just autopliot the game it makes it unfun and unfair and riot is unfair for players to "play" for fun but they arent even trying to win this game has just become unfun
“Having a bad game” is often not caring and intentionally inting it’s not just mechanical errors and simple mistakes
LCS pro or not, this is just the average solo queue experience 😂
Couldn't agree more
I've been out of the game for 2 years now, and I would NEVER walk in front of a minion wave knowing Blitz is on the other team let alone spotted near a tower. Could be Blitz being lucky, or Core having a bad play streak, but still man...
double lifts only response was: yeah but everyone runs it down so who cares…
I never understood how it took this long for CoreJJ to get any heat though. Ive seen so many instances of him griefing in multiple streams
Solo queue daily encounters:
-“my account was $2, idc”
-top laner/jg dies once then basically goes afk
-teammate dies once and dc’s
-hard carry every game, but doesn’t matter because usually 2/5 players on your team aren’t trying or are coming down off being drunk/high
-you have a 78% winrate, lose 2-3 games, then proceed to get +18lp -30lp
-teammate locks in troll top or support & you auto lose
-teammates start arguing & both proceed to afk when it really doesn’t matter to either player
There are many problems with league, I am a casual solo queue player, I play maybe a game or two every other day.
Tyler is right. Doublewashed’s opinion doesn’t matter

If Core did that in CN, they would be screwed big time.
Him becoming a chess player was SO random and entertaining at the same time 😂
The main takeaway from this game is to not play soloq ranked league BECAUSE it’s not worth losing your mental over teammates that might be trolling or are just having a bad game. Play league with friends and have fun. It’s not worth raging just to get some LP and lose it again next season when ranks are reset.
It makes sense, so many pros don't even bother climbing the ladder and when they do, they don't even care.
That sounds like a very Tyler 1 thing to say 😂
Plus Tyler one IS PAID TO PLAY THE GAME and his games have over 20k viewers? more? meanwhile nobody is watching LCS. nobody cares about the games and Riot has to give away free rewards to just grab attention. thing is.. they are boring. and this is why Twitch Rivals and Mr Beast's tournaments were so much more popular than what Riot offered.
also Tyler reaching challenger in every single role proves he has more talent than the LCS players and Riot is right to pay him enormous amount of money to keep playing.
ty doublelift for clearing the air, all regions pros dont try at all during solo queue, its not just an NA problem, yay!!
"Loser's Que is not real" btw
Yes fuck yes publicize this!!!
Would've been amazing if the original T1 makes a comeback and show these guys what real griefing truly is
I mean, T1 is kinda right though.
LCS will never get anywhere, because your pro-players don't care enough to try and win internationally...
a former griefer complaining about griefing......the irony
Not even former. He still does it from time to time, just soft inting instead of running into towers like he used to.
Tyler1 is a hypocrite when he’s talking about when pros don’t care about solo q because he runs it down as well and also soft ints I’ve played twice with him in masters and he gives up so easily and has one of the worst mentals but he is also telling the truth about these pros not giving a damn about solo w

Wow, he won the world championship ... SEVEN YEARS AGO.
If they play well in every single game but his... Than ya, fuck that dude. If not then move on.
HE HATES LEAGUEE BACK TO VARIETY LETS GOOOOOOOOOO

Hear this every year since the game came out. But we still play.
man tyler1 sure has been reformed
0:39 he took a break from league to get slightly less completly horrible at chess...
LMAO
