Davinchi Resolved - Titanium - Nature Cam Footage

So after letting a render run all night long I figured out I could have an issue with how I have set up Davinchi Resolve - www.blackmagic...
I had a switch from Shotcut - www.shotcut.org/
Both great software. Fancied a change is all, I highly recommend Shotcut for ease of use and speed. Davinchi Resolve seems to me to have many more features and a much steeper learning curve.
The answer btw was to pre render the effect heavy sections before final render. Rendered in seconds after that.
