    Thanks for this video. I was wondering how to remove the big spring without it uncoiling rapidly on me. This video was super helpful.

    When you are mounting back the cage at 8:20, didn´t you forget to turn around per 360 with cage to tension the spring?
    Thanks!

      I do that at 9:50 . Easier with bolt in place (not tightened)

    Great video!! Are the jockey wheels directional? The upper one is stamped "U" while the lower on is stamped "L". Do these identification letters face outward when correctly installed? Thanks.

      Hi letter faced outward according to this manual www.sram.com/globalassets/document-hierarchy/user-manuals/sram-mtb/drivetrain/1x-mtb-mechanical-derailleurs-user-manual.pdf

    The tutorial was great and I opened the my derailleur up but I noticed I didn't have one of them seals from the start, I was thinking maybe mine didn't have one but now that Ive put it back together the derailleur is shaky, I'm not sure what to do now as I've not got a seal and don't think I had one in the first place, any help?

      Go to a large bike shop that work on mtb’s. High change they will have a spare from a broken one. Likely same seals from SX etc

    Your just the man I need to ask.. My NX will not allow my gear changing beyond 9th as the CAGE is right back right up against the jocky wheels... as if the chain is way too long.. but it was fine just the other week when all the parts were Shimano... HELP please anyone??

      Having this issue on my sons Riprock expert! Looks like the tension spring is out of shape. Probably the effect of under-tension on the clutch body. I have stripped it down but I'm unable to find a new spring and seal plate. Planning on replacing the whole derailleur now. SRAM quality has gone down!

      @@nawb_84 Seeing as I found many of these derailleurs in bike shop bins. Chances are a bike shop will have a broken derailleur to salvage. Surprised the spring somehow got damaged, since they are fairly large. One thing I’ve noticed with the plastic SRam derailleurs… they seem to crack at the cage hinges.

      Are you able to move the cage further by hand? Did you lengthen the chain correctly for the set up? (Asking since you say, you had a shimano setup before)

      @Hertzultra ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nawb_84 wow.. and mine was brand new out of the box sent a message to SRAM but not got back to me yet

      @@atboy4342 Okay so I was running Shimano shifter and Derailure (Shadow) and run lots of new chains over the last 2 years on cassettes 11-32 right up to 11-52 without needing to reduce brand new chain lengths... then I want a change.. to SRAM.
      I get brand new (boxed) GX shifter (1x 11 set up) with a NX derailure.. new and boxed.
      YES I can pull the cage down and the B screw is FULLY screwed in to the max.. The chain is an £80 nearly new chain and just as before with Shimano set up.. no chain reduction .. same ole same ole..
      I can ride the bike all the gears work fine but I have to avoid 9-10-11 as the chain is rubbing against itself... I am stumped..??

    You still have a spare NX eagle cage, I could use one

    • @atboy4342
      @atboy4342  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, but you’ll likely get one from a big bike shop that works on mountain bike. Maybe even free

    shimano design is better you can just take the clutch cover off without taking the whole derailleur off
