Thank you very much I appreciate it! Just woke up (posted and had to get to bed haha was 1am) and checking comments!!! Appreciate you taking the time to say something brother!
Most hi power variants go for over $1000. I could be missing something but a Hungarian clone for half seems like a value. I thought you still found a nice little revolver!
Its nice and hefty as well! Eventually I want all (as many as possible haha) the .22 revolvers so I can do an honest assessment comparison vs cost on them
@@thegunshowshow the 1960s German single action 22 could easily be a collection in and of thenselves. There were many importers and several manufacturers.
@jamesalvarez8324 what I do is find the mom and pop gun shops, big box stores don't usually take trade-ins, find a firearm you want and take the firearm you want to trade and see what they will offer you on your firearm towards the new one you want. The gun shops I work with usually offer more for trades than outright selling. And you pay the difference, if there's any there.
@2:05 man, I REALLY want to try out one of these Springfield SA-35’s. I’ve always wanted a Browning Hi Power, and this seems to be an affordable way to get a brand new version on the Browning for a bit cheaper Edit: @20:41 this .22 you’re looking at is called a Remington Nylon. They were one of the first production rifles to use synthetic materials rather than wood. My grandpa has one of the most complete collections in the US for the Remington nylon. He told me that apparently he’s only missing a smooth bore (for using .22 cal Shot Shells) version of a specific barrel length. The smooth bores were already produced in limited numbers, for obvious reasons, but I guess they made one with a certain barrel length that is really rare.
Agree on that Springfield great looking firearm for sure! Thank you on clarification on that Nylon - I *thought* it was but didn't want to be wrong, and very much appreciate the story and history - tells me to keep an eye out for them and ones particularly labeled smooth bore - I never knew that was a thing!! THANK YOU for the education
That Chiappa was a great buy! I had pegged that in my notes as a buy. Glad your kids could come with you and hope they enjoy shooting it. It is a great kids firearm. They are the future of the shooting sports. My impression is that this was not a bad show; 13:40 the black powder rifles for $200 were good deals for shooters if you don't mind polymer, especially the left hand CVA. 19:35 I believe that is a Herters .22lr single action. Made in West Germany in the 1960s. 22lr single actions from West Germany weerre a popular import in the 1960s due to the popularity of TV westerns. I have a few, they are fun to shoot and relatively inexpensive to feed. 20:32 Marlin 60 for $225 Not great but not a bad price nowadays. 21:27 Ruger 22/45 Lite Mk4 you just called it a Mk4. The 22/45 series mimics the feel of a 1911. The Lite means a polymer frame. Great gun, mine is about worn out as it's my niece's favorite gun to shoot suppressed. You show a MK II (I believe) at 29:30. 21:55 - Ruger Blackhawk in .41 Magnum. Pretty rare firearm. 22:30 the Chiappa that you bought, good deal Thanks again for the virtual gunshow.
Yup that can and does happen - I always suggest haggling, walking etc - last week guy dropped $75 off price after showing interest and then I pounced on it
7:05 I suggested that same beretta to you when you asked us about firearms for under 500. I forgot what their website has them priced for, but its more than 400. That would've been a good purchase; probably 380 cash out the door!
