    • @dannyfrog
      @dannyfrog 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @jamesalvarez8324 what I do is find the mom and pop gun shops, big box stores don't usually take trade-ins, find a firearm you want and take the firearm you want to trade and see what they will offer you on your firearm towards the new one you want. The gun shops I work with usually offer more for trades than outright selling. And you pay the difference, if there's any there.

    @2:05 man, I REALLY want to try out one of these Springfield SA-35’s. I’ve always wanted a Browning Hi Power, and this seems to be an affordable way to get a brand new version on the Browning for a bit cheaper
    Edit: @20:41 this .22 you’re looking at is called a Remington Nylon. They were one of the first production rifles to use synthetic materials rather than wood. My grandpa has one of the most complete collections in the US for the Remington nylon. He told me that apparently he’s only missing a smooth bore (for using .22 cal Shot Shells) version of a specific barrel length. The smooth bores were already produced in limited numbers, for obvious reasons, but I guess they made one with a certain barrel length that is really rare.

    • @thegunshowshow
      @thegunshowshow  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agree on that Springfield great looking firearm for sure! Thank you on clarification on that Nylon - I *thought* it was but didn't want to be wrong, and very much appreciate the story and history - tells me to keep an eye out for them and ones particularly labeled smooth bore - I never knew that was a thing!! THANK YOU for the education

    That Chiappa was a great buy! I had pegged that in my notes as a buy. Glad your kids could come with you and hope they enjoy shooting it. It is a great kids firearm. They are the future of the shooting sports.
    My impression is that this was not a bad show;
    13:40 the black powder rifles for $200 were good deals for shooters if you don't mind polymer, especially the left hand CVA.
    19:35 I believe that is a Herters .22lr single action. Made in West Germany in the 1960s. 22lr single actions from West Germany weerre a popular import in the 1960s due to the popularity of TV westerns. I have a few, they are fun to shoot and relatively inexpensive to feed.
    20:32 Marlin 60 for $225 Not great but not a bad price nowadays.
    21:27 Ruger 22/45 Lite Mk4 you just called it a Mk4. The 22/45 series mimics the feel of a 1911. The Lite means a polymer frame. Great gun, mine is about worn out as it's my niece's favorite gun to shoot suppressed. You show a MK II (I believe) at 29:30.
    21:55 - Ruger Blackhawk in .41 Magnum. Pretty rare firearm.
    22:30 the Chiappa that you bought, good deal
    Thanks again for the virtual gunshow.

    7:05 I suggested that same beretta to you when you asked us about firearms for under 500. I forgot what their website has them priced for, but its more than 400. That would've been a good purchase; probably 380 cash out the door! Nice looking pistol . That first T.C. Compass in 6.5 CM for 350 USD would have been tempting for me. I have one and it's a tack driver. I like it because of the weight and easy to carry. TC Encores frames are Skyrocketing in my area of South Dakota 500 USD and up. That was Cool of you to buy that hand drawing . Do you ever go to Tulsa, Oklahoma Gun Show The Wanamaker ? . And yessir, any time a kid gets involved and a parent/grandparent says its ok we are going to have fun!!! Rollin through Rolla, let us see what we got.
    2:58 Another Colt All American 2000. We have seen one of these before. Colt's unsuccessful attempt to make a double stack double action pistol.
    7:04 Beretta 3032 trio, Top one is the Ghost Buster version. Second is the Covert. Third is the Silver-Back Gorilla. I think these three were at a previous show. Now discontinued, so these are leftover unsold stock.
    10:50 Skipped, but there was a Walther PPK and a Sig P230 above the Beretta.
    10:52 Beretta 85BB. But the finish is not right. I think that is a Cerakote refinish. These came in blued or nickel (like the 21A you got). And at that point, way way WAY to much. HARD PASS. (They come in surplus for half that)
    11:32 Beretta U22 Neos (AKA the Star Wars blaster) that is the shorter 4.5 inch one. Extra mags are a plus. Perhaps a little pricey still perhaps.
    15:16 Antique Gun paradise!
    20:06 Beretta PX4 storm subcompact. About double what this thing is worth.
    26:45 Beretta M9-22. Too expensive. Palmetto State is running a deal on these for half that (about)

      On that 22 the guy offered $400 cash would it have been worth it? Yup those Tomcats were three shows prior in St. Charles - should I get one while the getting is good? That all silver one is sexy haha!

    • @Alcochaser
      @Alcochaser 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@thegunshowshow A little over what they go for. The online store in Galesburg IL has a U22 long barrel with spare mags for hundred under that. The tomcats are priced right to go if you want one, just heed the ammo warning on these. No 32 ammo over 130 foot/pounds of energy.

    i used to love going to gun shows. it used to be that,venders from diffrent shops would take stock they weren't selling, and give you dels on them.Not...anymore. For that reason, i stopped going. That and the fact that it took longer to get your firearm after purchase unless you had your permit at the time of purchase. That said, it was a good time hanging out and meeting folks with like minds and especially women...Did not know until i mved to the Kentucky Ohio area, how many Women, were into guns. Nothing Sexier than a fine as women jumping down of a truck, with a gun in her waist band. 😎
