at least for an episode, ‘‘twas enough consolation for me to have Jianming confessed to Haishi….for the first and last time…💔💔💔…seeing this drama had me remember the other tragic dramas I’ve dared to watch like THE RISE OF THE PHOENIXES, WOLF AND GOODBYE MY PRINCESS…if it weren’t for the justified reasons why one of them should die tragically in the end, it will never be easy getting over it…like when they’re just one step away from being together, their world starts to crumble …but for all it’s worth, these are really awesome dramas coupled with superb actors that really made the difference…my all time fave TEN MILES OF PEACH BLOSSOMS had all the ingredients of being a tragic story, BUT the writer/s were truly kind to have them ended up being together ( though they had to go through being reborn and tortured so badly)…just 2 more weeks and then this too shall pass 🙂🙂🙂 and still awaiting how THE KING’s AFFECTIONS will end likewise….

But that night, when they married, the emperor is poisoned. Shifu vomitted blood and knows he’s dying. to protect Haishi and give her a stable back up and future, he give her to the king😭😭😭😭 im bawling my eyes out right now. I think in this drama the emperor just made haisi as the empress cause he know haisi can be a great help and he have the consent of fang zhu the emperor really love tilan but because he need an empress that can stand still in every storm so he choose haisi. But treasure tilan so much. To protect the emperor fang zhu did something i dont know this part that everytime emperor got hurt he feels it to. And he got wounded instead of the emperor. Like what in the trailer when emperor said to fang zhu that haisi will hate him. The emperor wanted to tell haisi the truth behind him choosing her as the empress but fang zhu refused. And said she will forget him once he die. So the emperor was so devastated cause his losing fang zhu and doubted himself if he can protect tilan while talking to the portrait of zizan.

After they are rejected, despised and abused physically or emotionally, do they end up accepting whoever hurt them just by saying "I love you"? In most the dramas it is the same, in the end the protagonist accepts that he also loves her, but that he dissimulates for X or Y reason and in 1 or 3 episodes, and is forgiven. Women in China lack dignity, self-respect and self-respect, at least that's the image they give to the rest of the world.

Bruh 1st of all this is just a drama it doesn't reflect current realities. 2nd there are such women in every race. This behaviour depends on how they are raised not on their skin color. I'm not asian but I know a lot of women of my race who lack self respect and stay in abusive relationships
Oh and you must not know Yang Mi the female lead. She is a tough woman, very confident & a lil savage😂😂
