In the mean time Fang Zhu become The Grand Mentor and baixi for the Prince while leaving out of the palace and Haishi become the Mother to support the Prince in the palace. I’m hoping there will be season 2 to continue the story of amazing love between Fang Zhu and Haishi.❤️❤️

the decision to make the final scene where the OST was played while flashback of the events from how it all started, then panning in to Jianming in front of his favorite Jifeng tree, where he is seen wearing again the mask as it ended (was sad at first when he was not seen in the final moments of the finale, but he was at the very last but definitely not the least)….like as it was in the beginning…but the huge difference is that this time around he won’t be all alone in sharing the burden, he has Haishi with him (they may not be as a couple) who gave him the reason to continue living not only with a purpose (being a Baixi again) but with a reason (Haishi, the love of his life)…to love someone doesn’t always have to be with him/her in order to say that it is love…sometimes, to make sacrifices for the one you love esp when it hurts you the most, is as good as an affirmation of how much love one can give…the most misunderstood character and yet the most giving, the unsung hero for me, Jianming/William Chan…that last scene of his was truly a great way of showing respect and recognition of his great work ( nice one, dear director) ….that, has made a very beautiful and equally great impact to me (all viewers if I may say)…saving the best for last they say…Thank you for this amazing drama 👍👌❤️
Why so hard to be happy together? Although they can't living together like husband and wife, at least they are still alive until the end and continue their love relationship in the dark (never mind, they always live in the dark mission like usually) . Salute for yangmi and willy, they are good actors .. not easy acting like that. Thank you.. give us a wonderful drama in the end of this year.
I've watched this ep many times and still cry. best drama ever. in it there is friendship, brotherhood betwen shifu and emperor, loyalty and love... even though sad at the end, at least they are still together and raise the jianming child and run the kingdom together. Haisy is always beside Shifu, taking care of him.. i hope this drama will wins drama of the year..love you shifu..

Yes they both died and Haishi became Empress Dowager and took care of the little Emperor. I was a bitter sweet ending. Shifu survived but he became the emperor Baixi yet again because he was sick when he was born.😫😭😍

In episode 48 there is a scene where Haishi and the little Emperor were talking about his lessons he referred to the Grand master not feeling well over the cause of the 5years.Fang Jianming is the Grand Master. And if you watch the movie to the very end you’ll see him in his mask.

觉得陈伟霆说得对，在这一集方鉴明终于说出了自己的心声，为了百姓又再次做出了牺牲但好在这次有海市在他身边......在这一集我哭了...哭的并不是因为方鉴明再为小皇子施栢溪而是在后面还有一些画面是---没有栢溪没有仪王叛乱假如方海市是个格格他们普通地相遇了，而阿旭和舰明还是当初那个意气风发的世子和任性潇洒的青海公...我那时候在想要是没有这些事情他们的生活应该是这样的吧...这样的话该有多好...
