When my older children were young (late 80’s-90’s, the first 3 of 6 kids total), I found them getting hooked on secular melodies with lyrics that were offensive. So, I started a game with them we called, “Save That Tune.” I started it one night when our power went out due to a storm; and I was trying to keep them calm.... They would tell me the popular songs they liked, and by candlelight, I would do a fast re-write and sing it back to them with Christian lyrics! I even turned Lou Vega’s “Mambo Number 5” into a song for Vacation Bible School, the kids loved it! Please keep up the great work! The devil tries to steal and counterfeit everything Our Father has, but *All* belongs to Our Mighty God and Father! May your work and beautiful voice continue to bring Him exceeding glory! Hello Hello hmm... you may think that this is lunatic and that "the friend" is just imaginary. Well, that's totally fine because you don't know him yet. It however is so real to me. The friend I am talking about is Jesus. He is my best friend. I love him because 2000 years ago He proved His love for me by sacrificing His own life for my sins through which I now am cleansed off all my sins. Not only that He rose from the death 3 days later proving His love to be victorious over all other power. I love him because through His act of Love I have gained security and eternity and a place in Heaven. There is so much more to it than what I've just said which you will find out really soon. Pau Hello! thanks for your questions. Well, It's the Christians who have this Faith and belief in Jesus. So basically, followers of Jesus are called Christians. I too am a follower of Christ. I try and do my best to follow His path and His teachings but I do fail many times. I'm not perfect but it gives me all the more reason to look upto Jesus. He(Jesus) came from Heaven to Earth leaving His Throne and took the form of Man by being born of a Virgin women(a miracle). He grew up like any other Human and walked the same life like we do but in Him was no Sin and He knew no Sin. He was a perfect person. He lived a life of purity. He was fully God but fully Man at the same time. He gave up His life for us all because none of us are perfect and are never gonna be. Jesus was beaten, mocked, scorned, spat on and was nailed to the cross. This was the price of our punishment for our sins. When he was nailed on the cross so was our sins and impurities with Him. Before he bled to death he cried out saying-"It is finished" which meant that All our burdens and sins and past has been taken away from us and that He has freed us from it all. But this was not it. He rose from the death 3 days later proving victorious over Sin, Satan and death. Which means that sin, Satan and death has no hold on us too. We are now free and have a free access to have a relationship with Jesus and live for the rest of eternity in Heaven. The only thing that he has asked us to do to gain all these freedom and relationship and a place in heaven for eternity is to just believe. Believe that Jesus is God and that he came down from Heaven to earth to take your punishment for your sins and die a shameful death on your behalf. Believe that He is your personal Saviour who has taken away your burdens, your guilt, your shameful past and your sins. Believe that He rose from the death on the 3rd day so that you can rise victorious along with him. I believe in His work and the power of it all. I have accepted Him as my God and my personal Savior and He now lives in me. And this is how you can call on God. So, if you feel that you want this Jesus in your life than I can help you with a small prayer. Just pray this prayer in your heart-"Jesus, I thank you for your sacrifice on that cross for my sake. Thank you for freeing me from this worldly bondage and the sins and burdens. I believe in you and your act of love for me. I accept you as my one and only personal savior in my Life. Come and live in me. I pray this prayer in your name. AMEN!" DONE!!! THAT WAS IT! That's all that we need to do to gain this eternal life in heaven. Isn't it amazing that God himself now lives in us. Dear Beckah, I’m SO thrilled to see someone doing this publically- AWESOME! When my older children were young (late 80’s-90’s, the first 3 of 6 kids total), I found them getting hooked on secular melodies with lyrics that were offensive. So, I started a game with them we called, “Save That Tune.”
I started it one night when our power went out due to a storm; and I was trying to keep them calm.... They would tell me the popular songs they liked, and by candlelight, I would do a fast re-write and sing it back to them with Christian lyrics! I even turned Lou Vega’s “Mambo Number 5” into a song for Vacation Bible School, the kids loved it!

Hello Hello hmm... you may think that this is lunatic and that "the friend" is just imaginary. Well, that's totally fine because you don't know him yet.
It however is so real to me. The friend I am talking about is Jesus. He is my best friend. I love him because 2000 years ago He proved His love for me by sacrificing His own life for my sins through which I now am cleansed off all my sins. Not only that He rose from the death 3 days later proving His love to be victorious over all other power.
I love him because through His act of Love I have gained security and eternity and a place in Heaven.
There is so much more to it than what I've just said which you will find out really soon.

Pau Hello! thanks for your questions. Well, It's the Christians who have this Faith and belief in Jesus. So basically, followers of Jesus are called Christians. I too am a follower of Christ. I try and do my best to follow His path and His teachings but I do fail many times. I'm not perfect but it gives me all the more reason to look upto Jesus.
He(Jesus) came from Heaven to Earth leaving His Throne and took the form of Man by being born of a Virgin women(a miracle). He grew up like any other Human and walked the same life like we do but in Him was no Sin and He knew no Sin. He was a perfect person. He lived a life of purity. He was fully God but fully Man at the same time.
He gave up His life for us all because none of us are perfect and are never gonna be. Jesus was beaten, mocked, scorned, spat on and was nailed to the cross. This was the price of our punishment for our sins. When he was nailed on the cross so was our sins and impurities with Him. Before he bled to death he cried out saying-"It is finished" which meant that All our burdens and sins and past has been taken away from us and that He has freed us from it all.
But this was not it. He rose from the death 3 days later proving victorious over Sin, Satan and death. Which means that sin, Satan and death has no hold on us too.
We are now free and have a free access to have a relationship with Jesus and live for the rest of eternity in Heaven.
The only thing that he has asked us to do to gain all these freedom and relationship and a place in heaven for eternity is to just believe. Believe that Jesus is God and that he came down from Heaven to earth to take your punishment for your sins and die a shameful death on your behalf. Believe that He is your personal Saviour who has taken away your burdens, your guilt, your shameful past and your sins. Believe that He rose from the death on the 3rd day so that you can rise victorious along with him.
I believe in His work and the power of it all. I have accepted Him as my God and my personal Savior and He now lives in me. And this is how you can call on God.
So, if you feel that you want this Jesus in your life than I can help you with a small prayer. Just pray this prayer in your heart-"Jesus, I thank you for your sacrifice on that cross for my sake. Thank you for freeing me from this worldly bondage and the sins and burdens. I believe in you and your act of love for me. I accept you as my one and only personal savior in my Life. Come and live in me. I pray this prayer in your name. AMEN!"
DONE!!! THAT WAS IT!
That's all that we need to do to gain this eternal life in heaven.

I don't think it's about procreation, but chances are that this person who commented is christian and a virgin, because usually Christian choose to wait till marriage. In this day and age, where basically everything mentions sex (indirectly and directly), it's nice for people to have an alternative. It isn't about oppression or anything else, but when you're avoiding something, it's easier if that something isn't constantly being shoved in your face, that's all.
